The Dayton Audio® Classic C40 2.5-Way Center Channel Speaker makes it easier than ever before to hear dialogue. It boasts an elegant cabinet design that houses dual Dayton Audio® 4-in. poly bass drivers and a 1-in. silk dome tweeter. Its unique 2.5-way crossover treats each 4-in. driver independently to create an extra-wide listening experience for the whole family. This is one of the best center channel available. It has a beautiful finish. Also very large and heavy so make sure to have enough space to install it. Good thing is that it can be mounted either on a wall (with provided brackets) or on a sturdy stand. There is also an on/off switch for wall position. As expected, the sound reproduction is excellent for a hybrid electrostatic speaker. The main drawback is obviously the price, so the ESL C can be a good alternative in that case. Overall very satisfied

The detail and clarity of the sound this is able to produce is absolutely amazing. The center channel is most critical in a home theater setup, and this is one of the best sounding I have ever heard. Two important things to be aware...size and power. The speaker is HUGE compared to most center channels, so you need to make sure you have space on your entertainment center or wall to place it. The size is a benefit too though in that it creates a very wide center channel dispersion of sound. The main thing to be aware of (and why I ended up not using it) is making sure you have enough power to drive it and the rest of your speakers. Using this with just an AVR (even higher-powered model like my Denon 8500HA) will not cut it...speaker will draw most of the available power and not mesh well with the overall sound of your theater setup. To get the best out of it, you need to run with external amplification.

this center channel is massive... make sure you have the space on a shelf for this, does come with the mounting bracket if you have that option. Completes the system, looks great, and provides perfect midrange clarity
