Excellent counter-top subwoofer, ideal for whole-home audio installs. I'm running (3) of them in a kitchen counter scenario back against the wall. They have a toggle switch on the bottom that will allow you to run with no bass boost, or 6Db/12Db. A good rule of thumb is to max out for lower general volume settings. Whole-home can be counter-intuitive in that folks are generally looking for low-volume ambience as opposed to hi-volume...although the systems will definitely do it. One nice thing about the Kef T-2 is no knobs...so there is no point in messing with or tweaking the sound level in real-time. Set it and forget it.
