A: In order to get foamed milk without a shot of espresso, you can press the button for using ground coffee (but with no grounds added to the machine. Then you press latte machiatto and press it again to stop it when you've got the amount you want. The machine will go on to try to make the espresso shot, using ground coffee, but when it finds there are no grounds, it will display a red light for a minute before the "clean" light comes on. Then go ahead with cleaning. Works great! There are videos on YouTube showing how to do this.
Q: Does this makes flat white coffee
A: There’s not a preset option for this but you can likely use the “My Latte” option, which will use all the milk you place in the container, then finishes that with a shot of espresso. Just add less milk than you would in, say; a cappuccino— may take some trial and error to tailor to your specific taste but that’s the best way to go about it with this machine.
