Funtastic Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had the good fortune of being able to buy very many computers, so when I was looking around at Best Buy I was looking for something a cut above the average gaming laptop. Then I saw it, there was a few people ooowing and awwing at a laptop display with its brightly lit up red keys with a 17 in screen. The Asus Rog. The salesman was looking at his stock of laptops that could handle my games. I asked about the Asus, he said it could handle anything I could throw at it, but a little more than the price restraints I had given him. I told him forget the wife, I have to have it and I haven't regretted it to this day. The best computer I have ever had with 0 problems. It was worth the extra money. It is beautiful to look at which makes my old lady a little jealous. I am a happy man.

Great gaming laptop! Something must be noted.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well firstly, this was given to me as a gift because I am currently a computer science major and am pursuing a career in game development. This laptop has an amazing performance, even though it is large and heavy, I think it has a fantastic design and beautiful display. It runs very fluidly and I have fallen in love with Windows 8.1. The cooling fans are a great feature to keep the PC running cool. I do have to note that there is a slight issue with the CD/DVD tray. It seems very sensitive and opens far to easily which can lead to problems, especially with transport. Also, the built in speakers could use some work and do seem like they might be too delicate. I would advice to use external speakers or a headset. If anyone runs into errors with games they know normally run well, tweak the graphics processor in the NVIDIA Control Panel to use the global High Performance setting. A great purchase/gift,

Amazing mobile workstation and gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is simply amazing. It runs so quiet you barely hear it even during 1920x1080 gaming in BF4 with ultra setting. The keyboard could give a little more feedback but overall it works well and the trackpad is as good as any Windows laptop I have used. The soft touch of the material this laptop is covered in gives it a luxury feel to go along with the solid build. The touchscreen comes in handy and the IPS display is gorgeous. This laptop is perfect if you are looking for a solid mobile gaming machine with good enough graphics power to handle most games coming out for the next year or two in high to ultra setting while getting over 30 FPS It is extremely bulky and heavy yet those who buy a laptop like this understand that is part of the package. The only real complaint I have is the speakers which in my opinion are horrible considering they are supposed to be a premium sounds system with subwoofer.

Great performance for the price point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After shopping around for months, I pulled the trigger on this gaming laptop because of the brand and price point compared to others in the gaming field. For the price, I really had much better specs than other brands, including the beautiful touchscreen and capability to add two 2.5" hard drives. I already added a 240GB SSD and an additional 8 GB DDR3 memory and they were plug and play. I have installed several games on the 1 TB hard drive, including Titanfall, and they perform great thanks to the dedicated video memory. It is much heavier and bulky than what I wanted, that's why only 4 out of 5 stars, but with those specs it's what's expected. I have not had any regrets buying this laptop and would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable gaming laptop.

best gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we purchased the gaming laptop for our son and installed MS Office. He not only uses the laptop for school, but for all his gaming. The laptop doesn't lag in the least bit. It holds its charge for a good duration. It's a bit big but it doesn't bother him much. He adores the touch screen feature. Def recommend this product.

Excellent for gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I play World of Warcraft, Diablo, and other such games so I got this laptop specifically for that., and I could not be happier with my choice. I have had to get used to the set up of the buttons. Like having to used the fn key for num lk which if play WoW is how auto run is used. But that has not been a deal breaker I just got used to it. The graphics are crystal clear even on high rez and the sound is great too. So if you are looking for a computer for gaming but do not want to pay the price of an Alien, I definitely suggest this laptop. Oh one warning though does not come with owners manual have to go to ASUS website for that, but can pretty much play right out of the box.

Asus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus: I have built many desktop PC’s with their mother boards. I had nothing but a stable computer with their products. This is a great all around computer that can handle most of every task that you work with. I played a few games on this laptop and is top rated performances in graphics and speed. This laptop is my first after several desktops and is a keeper. I can say for a laptop the technology is much better that I have purchased my first laptop. So if you have the cash to spend on this expensive system it is worth it and investing the extended warranty as a precaution is well worth it. No bugs to report.

Q: QuestionHow much battary life does it have
Asked by jmd2189.
- A:Answer I usually will run at max performance so it is a battery killer. Even said, I can see at least an hour of battery time. As with any battery product, if you turn the screen brightness down, limit the graphics processor and whatever other recommendations that the power mizer pops up, I am certain you could still see a few hours out of it. Remember, it is a 17.3" screen, that in itself is going to chew up power like you wouldn't believe.

Q: Questionwould anyone recommend this as being a good college/general purpose laptop?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It is if you do any gaming. If you don't I would get a cheaper computer for college/general purpose. If you are taking it to class, the size of the computer would be harder to carry around easily.

Q: QuestionWhy does this asus have a touch screen?I thought the model g751 doesnt come with touchscreen. Just curious.
Asked by noodles.
- A:Answer Who cares! It's there, use it or don't I may be wrong but i think the rest come with an anti glare, matte screen. I wanted the glossy screen so i chose this touch screen model. I have no use for the touch screen and i don't really use it. Windows 8 has a lot of shortcuts and functions based on touch screen devices, so it does come in handy a little bit. for the most part, it's a novelty.
