Does this LifeProof case come with a protection plan? Amazon sells the same product for the same price; however, they don't offer the protection plan. I was just wondering if I can get both the case & the plan from Best Buy?

Yes you just have to do warranty through life proof and they will send a replacement I have done many times starting from iPhone 4 all the way to 6

Yes you can purchase a water protection plan from lifeproof just in case there is a failure and your phone gets wet.

It is my understanding that LifeProof offers its own 1-year warranty, that comes standard with the case. I had to make a claim on my old case and it was a very simple process.

I have an issue six months after purchase. I somehow tore the round thumb portal membrane and dirt and debris was getting into the case. I contacted them and downloaded a claim form. Sent it in with photo attachments and two weeks later received and entire new case in the mail free of charge. So apparently they do honor their warranty.

The protection plan from best buy you can but it only covers the phone if you bought it from best buy. if you are asking about the Lifeproof protection plan that covers your phone if it breaks in the case then you must order the case through life proof. I am sad they don't let best buy sell it too because the case never goes on sale at life proof.com but best buy drops the price every once in awhile. Hope this helps
