I'm keeping this...but for this price I did expect that there wouldn't be as much lag as there is. It's fine for most things...Hit pause, next song etc on music and wait 1-2 sec ...not really a huge deal. But when talking on the phone to someone it really really is frustrating. Kept stepping on folks conversations and they mine. Still the connectivity is great, the quality of the audio is great and not having the cord is great. I tucked mine up under the console with a command strip and it even doesn't look that bad (wish black had been an option.).

I have been using this for about 2 months now in my 2020 RAV4. There is a short lag when skipping songs on the Spotify app (1 - 3 seconds) but the convenience of everything else that comes with having wireless CarPlay makes it worth it, mostly being able to use the map feature for me. I cannot use wired CarPlay and have Bluetooth active on my phone and I need Bluetooth on for my Safe Driving Discount. So in my situation, it's an all around win, even with the short delay on music. I do not notice any delay with phone calls.

Excellent little wireless adapter. First set up was easy and from then on it connects very fast and reliably every time we get in the car. All functions work seamlessly. Very happy with purchase. When phone is not in vehicle it's info screen shows up, but just press the power button on my radio and I'm back in the normal radio interface.

Originally bought this for my 2017 Ram but it has an aftermarket navigation system so it didn’t work. However, my wife’s 2020 Camry worked because it had a compatible CarPlay radio system. Before I installed it in her car, she had to attach it into the plug every time she got into the car. Now it wirelessly connects before she gets into the car. She ABSOLUTELY loves this device. Two thumbs up!!

This thing is actually perfect. I’ll try to remember to get some video footage and some extra pictures of it but regardless it plugs right into your stock USB port where you would plug in for apple CarPlay normally, it isn’t a integration module that adds CarPlay, it only makes your car capable of running CarPlay wirelessly. So far zero issues with it. The box sits out of the way, shows up in Bluetooth, connect your iPhone to the adapters Bluetooth connection and wait for your phone to pop up and say do you want to enable apple carplay where you click yes then it pulls right up on the factory radio. I’ve wanted wireless since the day I got my car so my phone wasn’t plugged in for hours on my many road trips so for ability it’s been perfect for my needs. GPS maps and no wires dangling all around my seats and center console, the sound quality is still very high resolution for an adapter. Didn’t lose any of my music frequencies or range per speaker. Worked great on a Toyota Corolla LE 2020

This is a close to perfect wireless Apple CarPlay option if your builtin receivers does not have the feature. If you are already using bluetooth on your receiver to connect your phone, this is the step up. Both have a similar lag, but at least you get the Apple CarPlay features with this.
If you do not mind wiring your phone to use CarPlay, then stick to it.
The downside of this item is the lag. Some times I click pause but nothing happens so I click it again only to see that there is a lag and end up pausing, playing, then pausing again.

I purchased this for my 2020 chevy malibu because it does not have wireless apple carplay. the setup was very easy and my phone connects to the car the second it’s turned on. would recommend if you want to save time and get rid of wires

It does do what it’s meant to, however, what I did not quite like, is the lag between pausing or starting your music. It isn’t quite as fluid as I would like, but if that isn’t an issue for you and all you care about is not having to deal with a cable then this is for you

I had purchased this CarPlay adapter for my 2023 Subaru Forester. The CarPlay adapter plugs into one of the front USB ports and is picked up by my car instantly.
Pros:
- Worked out of the box with my Forester
- Starts up within 10 seconds
- Came with some stick-on tape so I could hide the adapter easily
- Steering wheel controls worked perfectly
- Minimal lag between pressing buttons and the function activating
Cons:
- Pricier than other CarPlay adapters
- No way to disable the adapter without unplugging it if you want to use your car's built-in Bluetooth

This works perfectly in place of Apple CarPlay if your car has it and is required to plug in a phone to access the CarPlay features. Only problem is it does seem to have a slight delay in audio
