I recently updated from the Echo Pop, to this Echo Show 8. It's a sleek looking 3rd generation touchscreen. I bought it for my disabled husband, who has dexterity issues when trying to dial via cell phone. Now he uses gross motor movements for the touchscreen or a voice command to not only call family but view them. The Echo smartly sits up by design to allow you to view it like a small television screen. Ive fallen in love with the device. Daily Im excited to ask Alexa to play music for enjoyment via amazon music, meanwhile the screen displays the lyrics in large print. The stereo sound is phenomenal. Visitors have been surprised to find the Echo is whats generating such quality sound. My husband now ask Alexa, "who's the artist?", instead of quizzing me. Lol. Im so satisfied with my purchase. It's so easy to set up and operate, that Im now going to buy one for my mom. It just requires your wifi address and password.

I am totally impressed with the amount of things this echo can do to make my life easier to remember and the Big screen is a plus since I have gotten older and my vision is not so good. The sound is amazing to listen to while cooking and I Absolutely love the shopping list to remember what I need before I go to the store. That feature is so helpful for me.

This is really a good device im able to keep up with all my appointments that i normally forget it also allows me to play my music and listen to podcast. It wakes me up in the morning best alarm ever. It let me see amazon advertisments that just some of the things i like. I havent tried everything yet o it is also very easy to set up. I definitely recommend.

Mine is in the kitchen need a recipe just ask. Sound is nice its also loud you can watch you tube and other things listen to music GET YOU ONE!!

I am in love with Echo Show 8, we play music all the time using the Spotify app or watch movies on Netflix or Amazon Video, the audio and video quality is excellent but most of all I love seeing all our family photos, this brings me so many beautiful memories.

I had the previous generation of echo show 8 but i feel this new one has improved on a few things. The speed is so much better and almost no lag when using the interface. Also the sound now feels really nice when playing music.

I bought this for a friend but when i tried to set it up for him it did not recognize his amazon account because he did not have one. I set him up with one and then tried to get him on Alexa. No immediate luck. I still presume it will work when i try again. Meanwhile i purchased one earlier for myself and it was very easy to set up. The only issue is sometimes the sound is lower than i like for a YouTube show (while the commercials are loud). However if you crank it up the sound can be extremely loud as it does have a strong speaker. Overall it is a nice size, great price, great quality and i would buy it again. If you have an Alexa app and Amazon account you will be in good shape and it will be easy to set up.

I bought this unit for my brother who lives in NY. I live in Ireland, and I thought it would be good for video calls. I had the same unit myself. We are absolutely delighted with the Amazon Echo 8 unit. The picture and sound quality is so much better than we expected. Previously we video called using WhatsApp, and found it very frustrating. Using The Echo, calls can be made Hands Free, and the viewing area around is terrific. I purchased The Echo from Best Buy, online. The transaction was seamless, and the unit was delived Next day, to my brother in Long Island, and best of all, Free Shipping. I can honestly recommend this unit to anyone who likes making video call. Besides the video calls, the Echo displays all my uploaded photos from amazon Photos. It plays all my Spotify Playlists and allows me to listen to all my favorite Radio Stations around the world. The unit has many more features, too many to list here. Somewhat to me surprise, I am really enjoying this. I decided to add it after successfully setting up an Echo 3rd generation Hub and discovering it worked with some light bulbs I got. The hardest part for me was getting used to using Alexa - somehow I had never gotten around to using it. The speaker on this Show 8 3rd generation is actually not bad, and I have been listening to music more than I would have predicted. It also does well controlling a set of smart plugs and two light bulbs in the same room, as well as some plugs and lights in another room.
