Overall i like it, although with all of my alexa i feel like they dont listen sometimes. I do like the big screen and ease of use.

I'm enjoying this Alexa device. I'm still working on refining the general display, but I love having my personal pictures rotate through. I use the timers and alarms all the time, and I play music through it. Useful for life with a toddler.

I bought this for a friend but when i tried to set it up for him it did not recognize his amazon account because he did not have one. I set him up with one and then tried to get him on Alexa. No immediate luck. I still presume it will work when i try again. Meanwhile i purchased one earlier for myself and it was very easy to set up. The only issue is sometimes the sound is lower than i like for a YouTube show (while the commercials are loud). However if you crank it up the sound can be extremely loud as it does have a strong speaker. Overall it is a nice size, great price, great quality and i would buy it again. If you have an Alexa app and Amazon account you will be in good shape and it will be easy to set up.

Bought for my kids to easily connect with me and each other. So much better than talking on facetime. Downside is you can only call people who have the device. How do you find out which of your friends have it? It is also handy for looking up things, making lists, asking questions. I'm still discovering different ways to use device. I like that you can shut the camera off when not using. I wish it came with a manual.

Bought this to replace my old 5" screen echo in the kitchen. 8" screen is a great change - I can actually see the pictures on the screen! I'm having a problem making this my "Master" device over the other show and 2 dots in the house. Probably user error. At any rate, I like the features of the Show and paln to incorporate a Ring doorbell into the mix

I’ve had the Echo Show 8 for about a month now, and honestly, it’s become one of those devices I didn’t know I needed until I had it. Pros: • The screen is a good size. Big enough to watch quick YouTube clips or see recipes while cooking, but not so big that it dominates the counter. • Sound is surprisingly decent. Not audiophile-level, but clear and loud enough for music, podcasts, or even quick calls. • I like the camera cover for privacy, and video calls with family work well (even if my parents take forever to answer). • Alexa integration is smooth. I mostly use it for timers, weather, calendar reminders, and controlling my smart lights. Works great for that. Cons: • The interface can be a little slow at times. Not horrible, but there’s a bit of lag when switching between things. • You can’t natively stream everything—Netflix and Prime Video are there, but if you’re hoping for YouTube or other apps to work easily, it’s a bit clunky. • Sometimes it pushes random suggestions or news updates I didn’t ask for. You can tweak this in the settings, but it takes a minute to figure out. Overall: This thing does a lot for the price. It’s not perfect, but if you’re already using Alexa or have other smart devices, the Echo Show 8 fits right in and adds some nice extra features. I use it way more than I expected—especially in the kitchen. Would I buy it again? Yep. Rating: 4/5

Audio quality is pretty impressive for a small Alexa device. If you get one of these, splurge for the compatible stand. I changed the name to Ziggy to differentiate between other Amazon devices in my house. Seems like sometimes I have to say the name twice to get it to "wake-up." But, I toggled the mic button on and off on top of it and that seemed to make it work a little better. While this device is the best Amazon device I have, I do feel like the product line, overall, has gotten a little stale and is weighted even more heavily than ever to selling me stuff than helping me out and providing me with entertainment. This interface and functionality is pretty much the same as what we all got 5-6 years ago. Amazon can do more with these devices, I think

It has some annoying features but it's pretty cool. I use this as my bedroom alarm clock. I haven't dived too deep into it's features but I like the spotify and shopping list integration. One annoyance is the frequent offers. It's always at a bad time and impedes use of it. Also, I can't have the clock displayed steady which I would like. If I roll over in the middle of the night and wondering my long I have, I sometimes have to tap the screen to see the time.

I am really enjoying my Echo 8. However, when my budget allows, I'll buy the Echo with a larger screen. I'm a bit of a "Luddite", slow to take on current and new technology. However, this Echo was so easy to set up and use.Really enjoy using, especially when I'm cooking dinner! The only reason I rate this Echo a "4" is due to screen size and I could not access my "Passport" and Peacock streaming service. Easy to access all other streaming services, though (Netflix,Audible, Prime, of course).

Snappy, nice display, though it could have a bit more resolution. Setup was really simple.

We made this purchase so that I could listen to my audible books and music. So far the only issues I have with it are, the "child" profile gets stuck on there and when I try to change profiles back to mine it won't work until it's reset and when I ask to resume my book on Audible it plays a book that I've already finished instead, and when I ask for a certain artist "clean lyrics" only, it plays explicit lyrics also (that's probably an Amazon issue). The drop in feature is awesome, I love talking to my daughter when I'm away and she loves that she can show me her latest moves, doll, dog trick etc., without holding the device. I like the recipe option, it's super convenient to create the item without touching the device by saying "next step".

I think it’s fine. Having both good nest hub and echo I don’t see any difference. Just whatever tech you’re using.

Love the bigger screen from my older, smaller one. Still learning all the things I can do with it.

I am using Alexa echo dot for 3 years, this echo show is a wonderful upgrade for me, It not only limit me with voice functions, Echo show allows me to view things and digitalize my home by connecting all equipments i have. I am looking forward for an upgrade where the scheduling and multitasking more efficient.
