Affordable sub with some decent lows....
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is good for what it is. It’s an easy to pair, Basic looking subwoofer that delivers decent lows when accompanied with the Echo Studio. I will be adding a second Echo Studio very soon to give the bedroom an even fuller sound. I use this mostly for soundscapes for meditation and relaxation but on occasion we play some hip hop, some country and rock. It handles all genres nicely. The harder punchier bass sounds a bit distorted at higher volumes. This is due to the way the Bass and Treble are set up through Alexa. The sub and the Studio share settings. I believe it would be better if The settings for sound were separate, but this speaker is a nice addition to any small to medium sized room. I recommend!

Good, not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an Echo fan, I'm completely happy with the sound quality for a device of this nature. You can definitely hear the stereo action, but I'm not sure it's worth it in a small room. Here's why, when you pair two new Echo Plus and the Sub, there is a definite problem with the response time. First, Echo gets confused on which should respond since there are two in the same proximity. Second, there is a delay in responding, sometimes ignoring my command (lower volume) completely. Hopefully, there is a software update that will solve the issues.

A must for Echo Show 8
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I installed a new Echo Show 8 in our living room to facilitate viewing our Blink cameras it became clear the Show was not going to provide the quality of music we enjoyed with our Riva Concert smart speaker. The answer was to move the Riva to another room and pair an Echo Sub with the Echo Show. The quality is still not quite as good as the Riva but much improved over the Show by itself. The Echo Sub can be boomy so I had to set the equalizer on the Show to the following: Base -2/Midrange +2/Treble +1 to achieve a decent, fairly balanced, sound. Setup was a breeze and the new paired units have been grouped with other Echo devices for multiple room/floor listening.

Good but not amazing...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this attached to (2) 2nd Gen Echo Plus speakers for a 2.1 sound system in our master bedroom. It would very well and I do like it. The sub itself adds the low end the Echos can't deliver. That being said, it is what it is. This system won't rattle the walls. :) It did add quite a lot to the sound quality for music however and I am happy with it.

Does what it says it will
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It plays bass notes. Can be plugged in anywhere n connected to your Alexa device wirelessly. It works, but looks like Amazon is discontinuing it. Listed as unknown when it might be back in stock there.

Great speakers set up via app disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speakers self adjusting to room acoustics in great room with cathedral ceilings are great. Balancing audio with traditional soeakers almost impossible. Tech support w amazon terrible. Tech did not know to resolve. Got geek squad out and took them almost an hour to set up. Sound awesome. No more echo chamber effect.

Great sound from echo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t have any issues connecting it to my echo that others have reported. It has great sound. I was actually surprised how much bass comes from this thing. Makes music sound great. I’ve only tried it with Amazon Music as that’s the only music streaming service I really use. Only things I do not like is that you can’t connect it to two different echos. I have the 1st gen show in my living room and the 2nd gen show in my kitchen. I have it set up to play downstairs audio group. Well now the one in the kitchen doesn’t play when I use the audio group downstairs because it’s a different model echo. They have to be the same model. One other issue I have now is you can’t say “ Alexa stop” to stop playing music. I don’t know what’s causing that. Hopefully they fix the issue with a software update. You have to swipe on the screen and manually stop the music.

Decent Sound considering the Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice sound for the price. It doesn't add a lot of bass, but does provide a better sound when used with the Echo Gen 4. Seems well made and not to large.

Nice addition to my Echo Studios
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added this to my 2 Echo Studio setup as the bass wasn't quite up to the task. The Echo Sub added a fullness to my setup that wasn't there before. I use my Echo setup for a home entertainment system in conjunction with a Fire TV cube. The Dolby Atmos does work pretty well and all in all, it's a pretty nice setup. The Sub was a big help in the lower frequency department. Cons: Amazon MUST put in a software fix that allows the Sub volume to be controlled independently of the Studios.

OK for small rooms
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the whole package - the 2 Echo Plus units and the sub. I think it would sound great in a small apartment, but not in a decent-sized living room. Once you got past 1/2 way on the volume, it was too much for the sub. I think if the price was closer to $299 for the kit, it would be a fair price. But at $455, I took it back. It just wasn't worth the money for me in the end.

Adds MUCH NEEDED bass to Amazon Echo system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this subwoofer!!! Yes, it could be bigger and better, and it may be a bit over-priced, but it has GREATLY improved the overall sound quality and experience of streaming music on my various Amazon Echo devices throughout my house. I like it so much I intend to purchase another of the same unit to use on a different level of my house.

Adding a little thump thump
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I stream most of my music these days, I’ve been on a search as to how to get the best quality sound. Thought about moving to a different system but have so much invested in Alexa throughout the house already. Adding the subwoofer helped. Still not stereo quality but far better than the Alexa on its own.

Amazon Echo Sub Woofer rich and deep sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to tie into 2nd generation Echo. Delivers rich deep bass. Excellent companion to Echo family. Only regret is Alexa setup doesn't allow for setup to 2 Echos at the same time for 2.1 setup. Hopefully fix in the works. Would buy it again for the sound alone!
