My computer shows that the adapter is there, but the three ports will not work.

It never worked. I have a 2020 MacBook Pro and it didn’t fit in any of the four USB-C ports. When I put it in the port, it read,” USB Accessories Disabled. Unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices.” I bought the product in June 2020, and didn’t have a need to use it until I started grad school in Jan 2021. Lol soooo can’t take it back, but am highly disappointed. I tried charging my laptop while plugging it into all four USB-C ports and still no luck. :( Don’t recommend..

The adapter was unable to maintain a connection for more than 30 minutes and after a month couldn’t stay connected for 5 minutes. I wish I would’ve returned it immediately.

I ordered this adapter used, but the condition was described as "Open Box Excellent." Well, sadly, it is far from it. The adapter is covered in an array of scuffs on both sides and the cord has some weird color stains on it (see photos attached). It has clearly been in use for a while. Overall verdict: pretty disappointing.

I purchased Apple - USB Type-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - White on March 25, 2022. I now try the USB-C, the USB-C is not working. Could I still return or replace a new one.?

HDMI port & Thunderbolt ports both work as a splitter. The USB port fails completely when all 3 ports of the 3 way splitter are attempted. Also attempted to just use the USB by itself and nuthin'. Seems quite a shame that a respectable corporation like Apple would put out a product that fails this miserably.

After a day or so of use, the adapter started making a pinging sound and stopped working. probably just my luck getting a defective unit - but otherwise when it worked - it worked just fine. I'd rather get a 3rd party that does more ports, are more reliable and are way cheaper than this ridiculously priced dongle.

I bought this item and i love apple. But i did read the reviews. The issues of it only reading hdmi cords that are short in length and or usb c short cords or apple only cords us true! And i mean short so if u are not near a wall outlet or close to your tv/ monitor for the other end of hdmi than many cords u use unless its the crappy apple rubber white short cords , this device will not connect typically. However any after market docks due just fine i use, with longer bon apple brand cords! Save your money this is overpriced garbage- go get u a dock of another brand!!

Completed waste of money. Bought to use with my iPad Pro to mirror the screen. The iPad won’t let it mirror with this device. Tried it on my PC as an adapter and the HDMI and USB work great as a hub but the power does not actually pass through to the PC through it though the PC says it is charging it it not. The PC port for the USB-Cs are the same for power, there are only two port total on my PC. I bought two of these at $70 a piece. Just don’t waste your money in my opinion.

Worked once and then never again. I have a 2020 MacBook Air and I needed this to connect to an external monitor for work. I opened my MacBook the next day, and the adapter started making these high-pitched tones and felt like it was over heating. I unplugged it to cool it down with no luck. It was still making the musical notes sound and the HDMI port no longer worked.

this product does what it is supposed to. A little pricey, but it’s apple and works perfect

I’m so disappointed in this product. I’ve had to replace it twice and they both had the same problem, the usbc does not work. For a $70 part, I need all 3 ports to work.

The device works OK but is way too expensive. Another design rip-off by Apple!

USB-c didn’t receive any power. The usb worked to power my apple dvd drive, but the usb-c input didn’t provide enough power for a multi port hub.

I purchased this adapter for my 2021 MacBook Pro with an M1 Max chip. The USB-C nor USB-A port will work with the unit. I obtained an identical adapter that I know is not defective. It does not work either. The only port that works is the HDMI port. It would be worth it if all three ports were functional but instead, it is simply an expensive bulky HDMI adapter when used on my particular model.

I've had to purchase two of these on separate occasions. the first came and from right out of the box, you have to play with it to get it to work if you are using an HDMI from your Mac to another monitor. The C-Port and USB ports NEVER worked. So I replaced my HDMI cable, no fix. Thinking the first was bad, I purchased another, Same issues. Product has a major defect. Don't waste the money.

Horrible do not purchase It literally shorts out every time I’ve taken them back twice and I took it back for a third time they told me that they couldn’t do anything about it it’s only contact Apple Apple saying it’s this and that they traded it out for me there there’s ended up shorting out absolutely ridiculous do not buy apples product for this it’s this it’s that they give me all this crap I bought one off of wish for 9 dollars and it’s been working perfectly ever since and I’ve had it for over a year

It doesn’t work, to my knowledge I did not request open box, wuestioned that at pickup and was told that that is what was pulled. I waited in line for half hour. I have been back once already to try to replace, waited for manager but never was resolved.

Crap! Absolutely 100% does not work! I have another with the hdmi only -works perfect no problems.

I purchased this at the store under the advise of the store clerk and it was an open package, I felt uncomfortable about this purchase, of course if didn't work and that's why it was probably returned prior, I tried returning it and the store would not take it back
