I have been using the BlueParrot S650-XT (seriously BlueParrot, you need to come up with easier to say names) for several days now. There is a lot to like, audio quality for voice calls is clear (both as a recipient of calls but also for the person you call), and the S650-XT is also great when listening to music. But the stand out feature is the 2 in 1 design... more on that in a second. What makes the S650-XT stand out from the pack is the 2 in 1 design. There is some really different thinking in this headset that I haven't seen elsewhere and that's because one of the ear cups breaks away. This lets you also use the S650-XT as a mono headset. If you need a headset you can use when in a car, while still have clear pass through hearing for the traffic; or in an office where you also may need to talk to other people - this is a game changer. It also helps with comfort if you need a headset you can use all day. The removable ear cup clips using some clamps on the side which unlock the metal clips that hold it in place. If you're struggling to work out why this matters, imagine working from home with kids where you still need to keep an ear open and clear to hear for any chaos at home, but when the kids are with their grandparents you want to have a proper headset and you will get why this matters. The Active Noise Canceling (ANC) works well, although it would definitely be better if the ear cups were over ear vs on ear. It's not a deal breaker (see my pros and cons) but worth knowing the design is not as how pictured on the box. The earcups do rest (for me) over the the whole ear, they just are not big enough to fully enclose your ear. FYI there is a button on the headset that lets you quickly turn ANC off/on. BlueParrot has some smarts where the mic can also cancel-out background noise - which worked well in my tests (engine and road noise wasn't picked up by the person I called, my office is not crowded but ambient office noise was also not a problem). The Bluetooth on S650-XT has great range, the box claims 300 ft, I tested these between 50-100 feet and there was none of that weird choppiness you normally get with a Bluetooth headset. Comfort-wise, the S650-XT is good. The headband has good padding, The ear cups are comfortable. The buttons have a good feel plus tactile bumps to make it easier to navigate when you're wearing them and can't see the controls. There is a standalone mobile app that lets you customize buttons and update firmware, the apps if free but I will say the app feels unsophisticated vs those from other brands. Pros - the Bluetooth range is very good. I was able to leave my phone in my car and walk to my front door (about 80 feet) without any issue - the break away 2 in 1 design is great, lets you be "there" for people with you when you need it but switch to a stereo headset when you want to focus (or enjoy some music) - comes with a great hard case that zips shut, a USB A to USB C cable, and a 3.5mm audio cable and a spare foam pad for the mic. - can use with the included audio cable, so you don't always have to use with Bluetooth. - reversible design, so can wear with mic on left or right, plus charges via USB C Cons: - the EarCups are really on ear vs over ear. This means the ANC is not as good as it could be vs a fully enclosed headset. The box is a little deceptive as it looks like they are over ear ear cups. - the BlueParrot app works but feels very amateurish, as a long time BlueParrot user I really wish they would update their app to a more modern design - firmware update was a little complicated, took a few nervous goes to get it to update. The app encourages you to register, but you don't have to register to update the firmware. Overall, I think the S650-XT are worth it if you need a well made Bluetooth headset that has great range and you like the freedom of a mono headset but want the benefits of a full stereo headset when it's right for you.

I'm a big fan of BlueParrot headsets - I've used the 350, 450 and now the 650. I was really excited to try the 650 and see the differences in the models. Here's a quick summary on the S650: Pros: -Fits well on my head/ears -Awesome active Noise Cancelling -Mono/Stereo ability by detaching entire earpiece -1/8" port for plugging into airplane -Long battery life -Very nice carrying case Cons: -A bit bulky and heavy -Earcups not adjustable (different sizes for those with bigger/smaller ears) -Seems to require BlueParrot app to setup Using and testing with my iphone allowed me to run to many of the features and test voice quality. As expected - voice quality is outstanding - just like the previous models. I work from home and talk on the phone for most of my job - usually 1-2hour conference calls - so the ability to hear and be heard clearly is essential for me. This was easily handled by the S650. Comfort was very good as well! The tricky part for me was getting the device to answer the phone quickly - or be recognized correctly by the web conference app - like Webex, Teams, etc. I sometimes had to power the headset off then on to make sure it was correctly connected to the phone, then passed through to the app. I'm still working through that and think it has more to do with the apps than the headset - but still a bit frustrating. Overall - I'm impressed with the features, durability and quality and will use this as my primary headset from now on.

I am really impressed with this headset from Jabra. Anyone who works in a secretarial position, call center, or other busy and loud environment where multitasking and phone calls are required should conider this most excellent headset. This headset is truly convertible to your needs. You have the ability to take one headphone attachment off and run this as a mono-speaker set up, or you can run it dual. You also maintain the ability to have this hooked up to two different Bluetooth sources and switch between (i.e., your phone and your work desktop), and it also includes a 3.5mm axillary cable so you can hook up to a wired 3.5mm jack as needed. This headset is extremely comfortable, I cannot emphasize that enough. They are quite adjustable and are padded in all the right places to where your head feels supported with this headset on but no smothered by too much hot, sweaty foam over time. I have been using this headset quite a lot for taking and making phone calls and since I first fully charged it up, I have not reached the end of is advertised 36 hours of battery life after hours of use. Altogether, I am really impressed with this headset and you should definitely consider it if you need something that can isolate and cancel external sounds but also adapt to allow noise to pass through as need, all while being highly adaptable to your needs. Thanks for reading and good luck with your purchase decision!

Blue parrot Bluetooth wireless headset is so awesome. The sound is loud & clear & people can you loud & clear also don’t even realize your using a headset. It was a quick & easy Bluetooth set up. I downloaded the app created my profile & learned more it about them they are walkie talkie capable, has voice memo. You can use both or one ear pad, you can use the microphone move 180 degrees to be worn either your left or right side. This headset has been the most comfortable headset I’ve ever used, the cushions are super soft & comfy, it is a little heavy but you honestly can not even tell. It comes with a nice zip up storage case, a replacement foam cover the microphone, has a usb charging cord. Has volume control buttons on the headset, touch of a button to answer calls or do a voice memo & BlueParrott button used for speed dial, push to talk so your able to control your headset hands free great for washing dishes, cooking cleaning & talking on the phone haha. Your also able to mute calls. The noise cancelling is the best block out any background noise. Says it has water & dust protection haven’t experienced that feature yet. It stays charged for approx. 3 days depending on how much you use it. It can also be used with Siri & google asst. I couldn’t be happier with my parrot headset. Highly recommend

BlueParrott cares about keeping their headset safe for years of use by providing a sturdy zippered case. The inner pocket is a convenient storage place for the wired headset jack and the charging C-USB cord. Pairing with my laptop was a tad rough, but that may have been my fault as I needed to learn the pairing functions of the headset. I pai=red flawlessly with my Motorola android phone. The free app is great for selecting what the 'BlueParrot" button does as well as uploading the latest firmware software into the headset. The update took about ten minutes and worked as expected. Sound quality and comfort are my biggest priorities. The stereo sound was great throughout the audible range. Listening to a TED Talk video gave a sense of realism as the speaker was applauded by the studio audience. Noise cancelling is selectable as are other functions from the headset buttons on the main earpiece. Cushions and the fit of the earmuffs are good. The fabric covering each earmuff is comfortable to the touch. I'm always aware of how it holds up in a few months to a few years. This is where a company's quality reputation stands out. One nice feature is the ability to remove one of the earpieces. The headset has a pad built in for just such use. Also, the microphone can pivot for use on either ear, left side or right.

These headphones are a great option for multiple use. They are well built and made from decent product. I am able to use these for my online meetings and they work great. I was able to hook them up via Bluetooth on my Acer laptop and my apple cellphone. I was even able to take and make calls in less than a few minutes. I’m not a huge fan of the app but your headphones can operate independently It will definitely take a while for you to get used to how to use the buttons on the side high volume low volume and then the BlueParrott button but overall they are super easy to use. I prefer using both headphones and if I don’t need both of them I slide the right side off of my ear I don’t particularly like taking the whole ear cover off and using it as a one headphone set but some people prefer that and it’s cool that face it has the option to remove one side of the headphones. The microphone is able to adjust around your face and go straight out or I can curve around to your mouth which is very helpful and it provides a very clear voice They have some cover it’s perfect for travel as well

I've had a lot of headsets in my day. Ear phones, ear buds, air pods, headphones, headsets, but never have I had a headset with a removable side to make it one sided having my other ear free to hear my surroundings. The headset itself is really well built and made for comfort especially if you decide to use these for an extended period of time. The flexibility of the over head band is great and also padded. It doesn't constrict to tight on the head causing discomfort or a headache. The padding on the ear muff is super soft and sits really nice over the ear, really cupping entirely really eliminating outside noise. There's a small pivoting piece that rests on the side of your head when removing the other ear muff that adjusts to rest against your head however you like no matter the size of your head. Removing the other ear muff is quite simple. It has two buttons on each side that you press in and it slides off. To put back on, you simply have to slide it back on and it locks into place. It has a very sturdy boom mic that flips up or down and makes me feel like I'm one of those NFL commentators at a football game when using it haha. Definitely not the typical thin flimsy microphone seen on some other headsets. It comes with a really nice protective hard shelled storage case for them as well. And with as much as they cost this is a must! It's stated as having 36 hours talk time and I've came nowhere near close to that before putting back on the charger just to be ready for the next day. Overall I'd recommend this for someone maybe who works at home remotely, would be great for the car especially in states where it's illegal to hold your phone anymore and don't have the capability to take and receive calls through your cars setup, or needs a serious headset for calls, not your everyday walking around hands free talking.

The BlueParrot S650-XT 2-in1 convertible wireless headset felt comfortable and sounded excellent. I didn't want to take them off even when not listening to music because of the comfort, I cannot say that of any 'earbud' type headphones I've tried. Phone calls (with Samsung S22 Ultra) were clear and did not disconnect, the other party said my microphone sounded good as well. Music sounded better with both earpieces connected but worked fine with just one earpiece connected for situations where you need to keep one ear clear to hear surroundings. Music sounded comparable to other headphones (incl. earbuds) at this price point, you're getting a decent quality sound. ANC worked well, one button toggled it on/off (or turned on passthrough). It took me a minute to learn that the skip button on the rear of the headphones was skipping forward, while the one in the front was skipping backwards. It has a programmable BlueParrot button, but that seems ideal if you work with a push to talk service. A note in my headset box said that the firmware on my device was updated, but as soon as I installed them, I opened the BlueParrot App to discover there was yet another firmware update ready to be installed (the installation took about ten minutes) - It is almost always a good idea to install the latest update, particularly if you want to avoid problems which have been corrected in the updates.

    Rock-Solid Purchase, Slightly Heavy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Good noise cancelling. I have a very small head, apparently, but this still fits and balances well. I like having the various monitoring options of HearThrough, removing the second ear, etc. Was great for a long flight and a lot of train rides. It is somewhat heavy, and definitely weighted towards the main side, so it may take some adjusting. The included case is very well-designed for carrying all of the hardware and slips well into a bag, though there's no dedicated space for the manuals. The pads are soft enough to be comfortably worn over glasses. There's a beep-beep when it's running low on battery that isn't explained in the instructions, but it'll keep running for a while after that starts. It sometimes insists on turning itself off, which can be convenient as it seems to know whether it's on your ears or around your neck, but can also be inconvenient when you have something paused (meaning it disconnects) or the battery is somewhat low. Still, the long battery life more than makes up for the charge time.

This is the ultimate work headset, offering versatility, comfort, superb noise cancelation and quality sound. The headset pairs quickly and easily and offers an application on your phone that allows you to configure the Parrott button for other purposes. While BlueParrott doesn’t recommend using the headset with a PC, I honestly feel that this is one of the greatest features for business users. I have the headset connected to my phone and my PC daily enabling me to use one device for my mobile phone and my business meetings throughout the day. Not all functionality works with the computer, but it works very well with the basic features. The noise cancelation is amazing with this headset. I have three small dogs that alert me to everything that moves. The people that I am talking with didn’t even know that the dogs were barking when I apologized for the loud noise. This stays changed for several days with continued use. I have been using it for a week and only charged it once. I appreciate having the flexibility to move about the house while talking. The range is as good as any Bluetooth device out there. The headset is comfortable with the cushioned ear pads. It also offers the option of removing one of the sides to convert it to a mono headset. This is handy for those who prefer only one ear fitting. The microphone rotates to enable rotating it to use on either side. Finally, the sound is very high quality. While the main purpose is for communication, the music sounds fantastic through this. This is a great value and offers many options for your mobile phone and home computer purposes.

This particular headset is in a higher price range, but the quality is superb and the functionality is both outstanding and unique. This unit gives the user an option I have not had before which is to remove one of the earcups. Now you can use the same headset for superior noise cancelling headphones for music listening or you can use the unit for call center support when you want to keep one ear available for hearing sounds in the room. The active noise cancelling is very effective at removing all background noise. I was amazed at this units ability to keep the sound crisp and not muffled while using the noise cancelling feature. Very important is the comfort provided by the headset size adjustment and the earcup padding. I found that even with my glasses on for many hours, there was no pinching of my ears – great. The controls for volume, cell phone calls and other functions are very simple. The BlueParrott button can even be programmed so you can utilize functions the way you want – tip of the cap to the BlueParrott engineers. You can also direct the headset via your voice – another tip of the cap to the engineers for putting this convenient, useful and safety option into their headset. You also get a very rugged case for transporting the unit. This headset can be connected via Bluetooth or a USB dongle or just a direct wire, so you also have nice options with included connection devices. I found this headset to be far better than any other and it quickly became my ‘go-to’ device. I highly recommend this BlueParrott unit.

Before starting my own business I worked at a very large online retailer, front line, taking calls from our wonderful customers. The bean counters apparently won out on the floor layout at the facility and we were packed in there like sardines. I mention this because we could have used this device as we were constantly dealing with background noise which could cause distractions with our calls. So, out of the box, the unit feels quality. Certainly more substantial than a typical headset, it is comfortable and easy to configure to put the mic in the proper position etc. Also, you can remove one speaker for a more "typical" look and feel and to expose your free ear. Personally I like to keep both speakers in place but this is one of many customizable options. Set up was easy to get started and my first act was to listen to some music which sounded great. I also enjoy the voice control like answer and ignore incoming calls. You can also customize these functions. Jamming a way, I decided to make use of this time to get my lawn mowed. While out doing my weekly duty a customer called. Stopping the mower, I answered and had a conversation with one of my best customers. For this reason I though I would test the noise canceling feature and asked if we could take a few more minutes with "a distraction running." She agreed and I started up my gas powered 5 HP mower. We were able to talk uninterrupted and she reported that she could tell a mower was running but I was clear and easy to understand. I would not recommend using these outside for extended periods or in dusty or wet conditions but this test really solidified my confidence in the devices' performance.

I LOVED these Blue Parrott S650-XT Wireless Headphones! They were comfortable, light weight, and super easy to setup using my Samsung S20 FE phone. I usually don't wear headphones or earbuds since I prefer "room sound" versus "personal sound", but these were quite nice. I will probably use this Blue Parrott product frequently, especially on an airplane or when on a cruise ship when I want my music played at a high volume on the balcony. While the headphones can be used simultaneously while listening to music as well as accepting phone calls, I will never use them for phone calls because it is a personal preference. I really liked the hard-shell zippered case they arrived in with the 2 pockets to carry extra form tip (for the microphone) and the USB cable. The sound quality was amazing .... crystal clear and room noise was non-existent. I would highly recommend these Blue Parrott headphones to anyone that likes to use this technology for personal sound enjoyment. The shipping box they arrived is was very sturdy. It had an outer sleeve and an inner heavy cardboard, 6-sided box with lots of info on the Blue Parrott headphones

I would recommend this to a friend
