When you buy a radar detector, you're assuming that you're going to experience false positives. However, for only <200$, you're getting a package that can read crash frequencies, cops, and more, at the range that's astounding to me. Perfect for long trips, or general cruising. In my opinion, there is little to no point in upgrading to a higher tier system past this, it's not going to eliminate false positives or increase range dramatically, unless you want light statistics, etc.

So far its been good. I haven't used cobra for a while now. So I wanted to give it a try, as it was easy-to-use and easy for me to just buy another for my other car. It's been frustrated moving my escort radar from one car to another. This cobra radar is doing it job so far. Be sure to down load the app it comes in handy. For a low budget this is a great purchase.

For the price, this has all of the essentials. It reads X, K, and Ka, and it's all packaged up into a nice little unit. I have no experience with the corresponding phone app, but I've heard from friends that have this radar that it isn't very good. It runs perfectly fine without it, though. Another hurdle I ran into was how short the power cable was, and I needed to get a 12v socket extension that ran from the center console to above the driver's footwell, so I could mount cleanly mount the radar to the top of my windshield. Other than that, no complaints.

Took me a long time to figure out what each frequency meant but this is highly worth it! SAVED ME several times from hiding cops and speed traps! 100% worth the money if you have a heavy foot (like me). Easily adjust volume and sensitivity of the radar and track everything! If you pay for the app you get a ton more features but still extremely functional without the app. Highlyyyyyy recommended!

The 480i does a great job of filtering out false signals, particularly IVT technologies, and ignoring things like door openers. It has properly identified actual threats while staying quiet most of the time I've been driving. You need to spend some time configuring this detector to get the most out of it. Load the iRadar app on your phone, grab a beer and spend some quality time with it. Once I got it dialed in, I found it to be excellent. To get the most out of it, keep it paired with your phone while you're driving. You'll magically get reports from other Cobra iRadar users to keep you well informed. For $150, it's a great detector. I'm keeping it!

Honestly wasn’t expecting much from this radar but boy was I wrong. This radar is not only accurate and has saved me so many times but is also a great value for all that you get with it.

Unit seems to work on par for what you spend on this device. The suction cups leave something to be desired. I've noticed that overall range is not that great - didn't really stand up in much of the side by side detector reviews - but for the price, not too bad...

Item was reasonably priced and worked well for me. I took two trips from Florida to Georgia and the item did better than expected for me. It also alerted me to other information that I wasn’t aware of that was included. Very happy with the device and the price.

This device is great! Once I programmed it to take out the meaningless alerts, it’s been amazing. I do regret not getting the higher model that shows the direction of alerts, but I can say that this device was worth the money and a great value for what I needed.

Its great for the value of it. And also it have a great millage of notification. Very easy to install.

For the money, solid product. Probably the best detector on the market for the money spent, but doesnt have the full range of capabilities one would want for true protection. If your looking to help know where the radar guns live, its better than nothing. If you want to truly rule out tickets, spend the money on the detection not court cases.

I have used radar detectors for 30+ years and this is by far the best one and especially for the price…I’ve paid over $300 for one and this one is half the price and twice as good.

This item was purchased as a gift for my sister-in-law she made the comment a few weeks ago while doing some Christmas shopping with my wife that she could really use a radar detector. So with some research I found a Best Buy carried this product at a great price and actually have them in stock! The product registers with plenty of warning or time to make adjustments with your driving to help avoid that costly ticket. One pointer though on mounting either mount the device high or low just not dead center in the windshield seem to get better responses in the high or low position rather than dead center !

Great radar for the price. Never had a issue. Yes it will go off when other radars are detected but you can customize what radar you want it to pick up. KA is the only signal I look for.

Wish it had a mute button closer to me it's only a meat button at the top of the actual radar detector. Pretty good scanner 4 the price compared 2 others

I have not owned a radar detector in 20 years. But, this one is a pretty good device at a great price. In addition, linking the detector to my smart phone was easy.
