My first AV Receiver! Very impressed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Denon AVR-S570BT has completely transformed my home theater experience. With 70W per channel and 5.2-channel surround sound, the audio is strong and crystal clear, bringing movies and music to life. The Bluetooth and 8K Ultra HD HDR support make it super easy to connect and enjoy stunning visuals . During set up it will perform automatic test to understand the speakers location and create a custom set up. If you're looking to upgrade your entertainment system, this receiver is a game-changer.

Upgraded Receiver
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I moved to brand new house 6months ago and wanted to upgrade man cave. I am replacing Pioneer receiver that just stop working. Set-up took about 15 minutes to calibrate with provided mic. Caught this on sale for holiday. While visiting BB, I was looking at sony, sales tech referred me to Denon. This receiver packs a punch. I noticed that if you pass-through the receiver via Hdmi it is louder, but if you run all sources to TV and use Digital Audio (Toslink cable) it's not as loud. I even reconfigured audio settings on TV and receiver and not the same. I love the fact that I can keep subwoofer on, and not hear humming noise when in standby mode like on previous receivers. I also like the various sound modes Dolby Digital Plus, Atmos, Neo 6: Cinema and multichannel are the main ones I prefer.

A lot of good with a little disappointment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Denon AVR receivers for nearly 30 years. I needed to replace my AVR 1801 and I thought I'd stay with Denon again. Overall, I am happy with the way the unit functions as a whole. There is good, clean power, The ability to switch HDMI sources at 4K (I don't have any 8K devices) and get the best sound quality is great. I really liked using the external mic to set the system up. Now for the downers: 1. No way to configure a CD player. I "fudged" it and used the "Media Player" input, but it insists on requiring an HDMI connection. 2. I connected my home music server to the Aux in via Google's Chromecast audio. Excellent sound, but I cannot have the TV display video from another input while getting audio from the Aux input, so I get a blank screen. 3. There is a QR code that allows you to get an app do download for your phone to control the receiver. However, it appears my version of Android is too new, so I cannot get the app (I have an Galaxy S22). Denon, how can you send people to download an app they can't use? At any rate after viewing the feedback from users, maybe it's a good idea I don't have it. 4. Firmware apparently is not updatable, yet, all you read all over Denon's website is how to update your receiver. Supposedly it's done via USB since this unit doesn't not have WiFi. At any rate, it is a good unit without this, but at least update your product info to say it cannot be updated instead of seemingly mixing with the S970BT. All in all, If it weren't for some of the issues I ran into I would have rated this receiver much higher. I am debating whether or not to keep this unit because I wound up connecting much in the same way my AVR 1801 was connected, meaning, I'm now not using those cool HDMI connections. I will recommend this to others because maybe they have no need to connect CD players, and don't care to use video switching, etc.

Posted .Hello. We're very pleased to hear you are pleased with your AVR-S570BT, and we appreciate your brand loyalty. As much as anything, we are happy to see you also voiced your concerns, as it gives us the opportunity to address them to help you, and anyone else who might be interested.
1. A CD player can be connected to analog or digital (coaxial or optical) inputs. If you have a player with an HDMI port, it is likely to be a DVD or Blu-ray player. Any input can be assigned. Here is a link which details how this is done:
https://manuals.denon.com/AVRS570BT/NA/EN/WBSPSYhlpgjkgc.php
2. The AVR-S570BT will only allow for one source at a time to be selected. This is standard practice on AVRs. The work-around is to have the secondary source connected directly into one of the TV's HDMI inputs. Sound from that source will then be sent back out to the AVR if the TV is connected to the AVR-S570BT using the e/ARC port at both ends.
3. If the QR code isn't being received by your S22, the app can always be downloaded by doing a search for Denon AVR app in your app store of choice. The app has a bit of a learning curve, as with any app, but beyond that many people find it works well. The AVR app is not designed to be a more through means to operating the AVR-S570BT than it's supplied remote control.
4. You are correct in pointing out 'firmware is not updateable' with the AVR-S570BT. The AVR-S570BT it is the one model in our line-up which does not qualify as a network AVR, and subsequently has been designed so firmware updates are not required. Firmware updates are generally only of use to network AVRs as they typically address features supporting network use.

Great Receiver and Great Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a 16 year old Harmon Kardon AVR. Absolutely love this purchase. Definitely gives plenty of power and sound to my 5.1 setup that Polk and Klipsch speakers. Initial setup was very easy and I was impressed with how Denon includes this "microphone" to set up the best optimal sound for the type of room it is used in. Works flawlessly between my PS5, PS4, and my 65 inch Samsung QLED Smart TV. Make sure to use more modern HDMI like HDMI 2.1.

Great Sound, Modern Features
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great 5.2 channel receiver. Was debating if I needed to spend more on a 7 channel unit - but this does everything I need with my current 5.1 home theater. Glad I didn’t spend more. Was able to setup in about 10 minutes. Replaced an older Harmon Kardon 7.1 unit because I wanted more modern features. This supports 4K HDMI pass through and Bluetooth that works great with my iPhone. Sound is excellent paired with my Klipsch reference setup and gets plenty loud. Highly recommend.

Dependable Denon
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my first Denon in 1996 and should never had let it go in 2020. I thought I was upgrading to the newest audio formats by getting a Sony. The Sony was a lemon from the start, and finally the video portions went out in January, so I gave it away. I bought this Denon to replace it and so far, it hasn't disappointed. The sound and video is excellent and set up was a breeze. I've used the same Polk Audio surround speakers since 1996 and paired with this new Denon, they still sound great, too.

Wonderful entry-level 8K receiver
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on an AV receiver with fully operational HDMI 2.1 (bug free) for use with my gaming consoles. After reading about all the issue's with the earlier ones I avoided AVR's until I could find a reasonably priced 2022 model. Enter the Denon S570BT, a great option for those looking for an entry-level 5.2 capable receiver that fully supports HDMI 2.1 out of the box. This AVR has a good MSRP price, and is a steal when on sale! After several days of playing games on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, I can confirm that all games perform flawlessly, without any noticeable latency problems, whether using standard 4K/60 or the faster 120fps mode. It's buttery smooth too! Please make sure you only use certified HDMI cables so you don't have issue's with the screen blacking out and/or audio cutting out. I was plagued with black screen drops in the past, when I initially started 4K gaming on PS4 Pro. Changing out my non-certified cables eliminated the issue. Sound quality is very good, especially considering the low price point and lower watts this receiver is pushing out to my Polk towers and rear surrounds. I run a 5 channel surround setup in a room that is roughly 12x10 feet, and this gets plenty loud. Setup is a breeze and walks you through everything. The included mic is used for audio calibration so it can make corrections based on your room. Make sure to take the time to do this! I can't comment on movie listening since I only use this receiver in my game room, but I can tell you that the directionality is spot on with this receiver. I played some COD matches and could easily tell where other players were running around. I finished the new God of War on PS5 and it was quite a sight to behold, as well as listen to, when playing on resolution mode with working 4K/40fps. My only nitpick with this receiver would be that using the remote to make volume adjustments can be finicky. On all other brands of receivers I've used in the past I've never had any problems adjusting the volume, but on this Denon when you press and hold the volume it changes far too quickly and is hard to really dial in the right volume. Instead you must rely on pressing the volume button one press at a time to get it where you want, which can be frustrating. It's a minor annoyance, but something that Denon should try to address on future AVR's. That said, it's possible (though unlikely) that Denon could release a firmware update to address this. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase of this Denon receiver, and I highly recommend anyone looking for an entry-level 5.2 receiver with 8K/60, as well as 4K/120 support out of the box to look into this one.
