    Great item and works great but Best Buy customer service need improvement. They can do better

    Thermostat works fine. Smart sensor was low in battery when I initially had it paired so I brought it back to Best Buy to either have the sensor or the battery replaced. Best Buy doesn't carry the battery for the sensor and refused to switch the defective sensor and give me a new one. They told me to uninstall the thermostat and bring everything back for an exchange. I'm not going to do that after paying a professional to install it for me. I understand that it is their policy and nothing the staff can help me with, but it is still ridiculous to not make it right for something so simple. I now will have to look for the battery somewhere else for the new sensor and just move on. My time is worth more than having to get Best Buy to do something about it. I have always picked Best Buy over other retailers for electronic and appliance purchases but because of this one bad experience over a battery, they will lose me as a customer and a shareholder. It just poor customer service.

    The only good part of this is being able to see the temperature at a glance. If you set your temp for 71 it will almost always be 72 in the house. Almost impossible to get help on the phone.

    I have purchased two of these. Both died. Buyer beware. Customer service has only two solutions neither of which is a refund. Justin the customer service rep offered for me to climb into attic in 100 degree temperature to find a wire and get the voltage on it. Even though we already tested voltage. This was so he could prove whether the unit or voltage were bad. Your word will not be good enough. This recent ecobee upgrade I purchase in October of 2023. It did not last a year. Be careful purchasing these.
