    Neat design, 'almost' there

So I've seen similar ideas in the past, although the ones I've seen with included stick vacs usually have a separate motor for the stick vac. This design is an interesting concept whereas you use the motor from the robot for the stick vac itself. So lets get into it. Packaging: Packaging was actually very nice, although it was complicated enough that they felt the need to include instructions on how to unpackage it, so that's interesting. It did not include instructions on how to use the clear hard floor mat, but fortunately since I've had robot vacs in the past, I understood that it's not for the carpet, but a person new to robot vacs may not understand what the purpose is. Eufy also does not currently have the manual available online so there was no further documentation. The only manual included inside the box was a safety manual that just explained not to plug it in to wet areas and to use it inside and such, not very useful for initial setup. Design: The motor being used for both the robot and the stick is interesting and I don't "hate" it, but they didn't think it through entirely. Strangely, there is no place to store the stick vac or the small vac brush attachment, but for some reason the narrow nozzle stores on top of the robot vac itself. It's like half thought-out... Very strange, but this also leaves me with needing to find a place to store those items that is convenient enough to be near the base station since I have to use them with the motor from the robot vac, but I don't want to just leave them sitting out. If it could be attached to the side or even collapsed (since it ships collapsed) and attached, that would be far more useful. The idea of the high power vacuum being both on the robot and stick vac is something I like and hopefully translates to very good pickup for the robot itself. I've run it a couple of times and have had no issues with the vacuuming. As for the base unit, aside from storage concerns, I don't love the replaceable bag inside, it's just one more consumable that I'll have to buy and eventually wont be supported anymore when Eufy stops making this vacuum or ones similar enough to use the same bag. Use: The mapping is quick, I hit start and within minutes the areas I intended to use it with were mapped out, the mapping in the app is fairly dynamically updated so it was cool to watch it do its thing. Cleaning is fast and efficient, it hasn't run over anything that it has gotten stuck on, and overall the locational awareness is excellent. The stick vac is nice, though I wouldn't put it on par as some of the more expensive stick vac only brands, but the mobile vac is a nice touch. Overall: It's "almost there" the lack of storage for the accessories feels like a rather huge miss, the missing documentation and the need to buy another consumable bag for the base are all not great. But if these things dont bother you, it's actually quite an excellent addition to the rather crowded robot vac market.

    Almost a Five Star Vac

I wanted this vac to replace a relatively new robot vac form an “i” brand that I loved at first and over time have become increasingly frustrated with. I initially gave the 18 month old i-vac 5 stars but I would now give it 2. So far the Eufy E20 is so much better in ways that frustrate me with the i-vac, though it has one flaw so far. First, I can’t talk about the E20 without mentioning the innovation packed in the box. This is a robot vac that will automatically clean your floors. It will also convert into a handheld and stick vacuum very easily! All you need to do is grab the motor portion of the robot while pushing the red button and you’ve got the base for a stick vac or handheld vac. This offers great versatility and could potentially be a big money saver. The stick and the handheld attachments easily go on and off. Unlike the stick vac I have from the D company, you don’t have to hold the trigger down the entire time you vacuum. Next are the app features. The Eufy Clean app is extremely easy to use and so far works flawlessly. It maps out the area it cleans very well, much better than the three other brands I’ve used in the past. You can even see where the vacuum is on the app, in real time. Setting up a schedule is very easy. Just select your time and tap each day you want it to run. You can also adjust where the vac cleans, for example, you can send it to clean only a single room if you want. The app uses the map created by the vac to divide the area into rooms, which you can also adjust if you’d like. So all these great things I have to say but I am only giving four stars? The main reason for this is the suction level on the vac is not quite as good as others I’ve used. I let this vac run four times per week for a week and a half. A couple hours after it had finished its daily vacuuming, I took the motor unit out and attached the stick portion. I then vacuumed the big area rug in the living room. I didn’t get too much in the can so I thought the Eufy was doing a great job. Then my wife grabbed the D stick vac and vacuumed the area rug again. I was surprised how much was still on the carpet. We have a dog and cat that both shed all the time (it seems like) so we need a vac that works really well. On the wood laminate floor (most of the main floor where the vac runs) it does a very good job. Since then I looked deeper into the app and found settings that increase the suction power of the vac and that has helped. We still need to vacuum the area rug ourselves weekly (or more) just to make sure we get all we can off the rug. My only other gripe is that I wish it had a dust bin in the base instead of a disposable bag. That way I wouldn’t have to spend money on replacement bags and it would be more environmentally friendly. If you have less shedding (or less/no pets) you will likely be very pleased with this vacuum. It seems very well built and the app integration is great. It does sort of look like the robot is missing its top cover because of the ability to remove the motor portion, but that is very minor. It empties into the dust bag when needed - everything just works. Even if you do have pets, set the vacuum to the highest suction level and use your regular vac once a week on carpet and you’ll be fine. Also don't buy the "i-vac" brand!

Eufy keeps innovating with useful products

Summary: The Eufy E20 3-in-1 is a truly useful product that shows their innovation and practicality. The E20 robot actually does a good job of navigating your room with out getting stuck. I've owned 4 robot vacuums and the E20 so far beats the previous models I've had that always some how continuously tries to go through the wall or just can't navigate around certain chair legs, or getting itself stuck in a corner for hours, only to get notifications that it needs help. When you need to spot clean a small area you don't have to pull out another vacuum, you can just pop off the handheld unit and use the roller attachment. Not having to buy another vacuum or have enough space doesn't need to be a worry anymore. This vacuum is really worth recommending for both automated cleaning and when you need it, manual cleaning. Setup: Unpacking the E20 can start to intimidate the non-tech savvy person, but Eufy has a self guided setup for any one that can operate a smart phone. Setup was simple and easy. I'm not sure if you're like most people that do not read the instructions, but I just setup the base station and vacuum intuitively and the voice guided app did the rest. No need to setup another account with Eufy, if you already have their security system your account can migrate over. It couldn't get any simpler than how Eufy has done. Robot Vac: The robot vac function flawlessly without getting itself into any issues with mapping and navigating your room and around objects. It might be that Eufy used three sensors (top, front, and side) to be able to get around every corner and navigate around objects, but it's been able to get my top floor cleaner than other robo vacs. Handheld Vac: This is what I like most about the E20, that I can have it automatically clean my whole floor while I'm at work, but also use to pick up loose hair or pick up a mess from my kids. I love being able to have this robot do other functions and not having to purchase another piece of cleaning equipment then having to have additional storage space for it when not in use. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a robo vac.

Robot Vacuum Amazing - Stick Vacuum Not As Good

The Eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20 Innovative Multi Function Design is a bit hard to describe because I love part of it and hate the other part. The APP makes it so easy to start before you even get out of bed in the mornings. It is easy to set up and no need to measure rooms because it does that for you. The Robot itself does a great job. It vacuums until the container is full, then it goes and empties it. Once it is emptied it begins vacuuming again. The battery charges itself in its “home” deck. The robot will tell you when the battery is getting low and it will go back (home) to the charging station and start charging by itself. It talks loud enough that I can hear and understand it very well. It is actually fun to watch it do its thing. It comes with a plastic piece that sits on the floor called a deck assist mat that helps the robot get into the perfect position. I have zero complaints with the robot. I had to make sure the shoes were not just sitting where the robot could grab the strings but that is about it. It is fairly quiet and does not bother either the dog or cat. The stick vacuum and handheld vacuum does not have much sucking power. They are cheaply made and I do not like either of them. They come with three attachments. The box says they are for spot and stair cleaning but they just don’t have the power to suck up dirt or pet hair off the carpet. I do love that robot though. It cleans very well and does everything by itself. I do not know how long the dust bag will last as I have only had it a few days. It only comes with one dust bag.

    Nice Combo Robot Vacuum

Having owned a few robot vacuums i found this ones unique 3 n 1 features to be pretty beneficial. The ability to be able to handvacuum from the compenents of the robot vacuum is a neat feature. If I notice anything on the stairs i can quickly pull this out and get to the steps easily. Pros 3-in-1 is a pretty nice (robot vacuum, handheld vacuum and stick vacuum) easy to use app to map the floors and setup vacuum features app has pretty good features cleaning times, zones and maps etc the unit does feel like it has pretty good suction overall which is nice in these sorts of vacuums Cons these are probably more personal gripes than actual issues but the Stick vac doesnt stand up on its own, the base station doesnt have any accessory holders for the additional accessories, leaving you to store the remaining items that makes this a 3in1... Overall, I would start off that its a good idea vacuum, it does function decently and i really don't have too many complaints. The suction power is adequate and the ability to pull the base apart and turn it into a stick or hand vacuum makes this a much more appealing unit. The battery life on the unit is also pretty good. I would recommend checking this out if you are in the hunt for a multi functional vacuum.

It's a robot... it's a stick vac... it's both, and a hand vac, too! I have to admit I was surprised when I saw Eufy's E20 revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. I hadn't considered it might be possible to combine a robot and a handheld/stick vac into one chassis, and I couldn't wait to try it for myself. I've been using robot vacuums for years, most from the well-known brand that created the category. As a cat owner, I've found robovacs essential for keeping cat hair and cat litter in check. I run my robot vacuum almost every day and it makes a huge difference. I also appreciate knowing the robot cleans all the corners and underneath furniture so I don't have to wonder when the last time I vacuumed beneath the sofa was. The Eufy E20 arrived tightly packed in a solid cardboard box, with no styrofoam but a fair amount of plastic wrap and padding. Everything was well-packaged but easily retrieved, and Eufy included a variety of (removable) reference labels to assist with setup and first use. Setup is as easy as plugging in the base and placing the docked vacuum pod/robot unit onto the charging contacts. Eufy's included "docking assist" pad is a nice touch for those with carpet, but I have the base on hard flooring and have had no trouble at all with the unit docking and charging. Speaking of charging, Eufy's advertised quick-charge feature is a nice touch, getting the battery back to full in a noticeably short amount of time, not that I've been able to fully drain it cleaning my modest apartment. The Eufy Clean app was similarly easy to get going. It found the E20 right away and connected everything on the first try. The app is key for tweaking the E20's settings and mapping in robot mode, and allows you to connect the unit to Google, Alexa and Siri Shortcuts for voice control. I've been using the E20 primarily with Google and found it responsive to start/stop and return to dock commands, although overall control seems limited to these basic instructions. This is my first robovac with laser navigation, as opposed to the camera-based navigation of the brand I'm most familiar with, so I was excited to send the Eufy on a mapping mission and see how it did. After charging to 100% I sent the E20 on a "quick mapping" run and was delighted to see the robot creating a map in real-time on the app. As the E20 moved through a room I could see walls and other boundaries leap into existence with remarkable accuracy. The robot sought out the edges of each room, pausing periodically to scan its surroundings with the top-mounted LiDAR sensor. After the quick mapping session concluded I was able to draw boundaries and label rooms and in less than an hour I went from delivery to cleaning-ready with minimal effort. With mapping complete I sent the E20 out to clean for the first time. At the default suction level the machine is tolerably quiet, enough to easily work or watch TV without struggling to hear. My previous robot vacuum, although powerful, was loud enough that I only ran it when not at home. What most impressed me watching the E20 clean is how methodical and gentle it is. The LiDAR navigation system is a clear upgrade over the camera/bump and reverse system of my last robovac, both in speed and accuracy. The E20 quickly finds the edges of a room, cleans all around them, and then methodically sweeps back-and-forth across the entire room before moving to the next one. Instead of ramming into table legs and door jambs the E20 scoots right up to them and moves around them, only gently tapping them from time to time. Even with a camera and mapping abilities my previous robovac preferred to ram each and every obstacle before turning or reversing, and my furniture and baseboards have the marks to prove it. I've found the E20 able to clean my 650-ish square foot apartment in just under an hour when left to its own devices, which is very similar to the speed of my previous robovac. After cleaning the E20 easily returns home, backs up to the dock and auto-empties its dust bin, then turns around and docks for good to charge. With frequent vacuuming I've never had the dust bin fill completely, and the auto-empty feature seems to get the vast majority of the dirt out. I appreciate the "deep" dust collection option for more thorough cleaning, and the overall auto-empty noise on either setting is not objectionable, though certainly noticeable. The E20 would be pretty satisfying if this was the end of the review, but with the push of a big red button it transforms into a hand vac and a stick vac, so there's more to say. Docking and undocking the suction unit is quick and easy, and the included tools cover most typical use cases. As a hand vac the E20 is very lightweight and maneuverable with either the crevice tool or multi-tool attached. And you'll need to attach tools each time you undock, as the inlet of the suction unit is shaped in such a way that it's useless without a tool attached. There are four suction levels available in both hand vac and stick vac modes, and I've found level 2 (standard) to be fine, but level 3 offers noticeably better suction with only a bit more noise and still plenty of battery life. As with most battery-powered vacuums the E20 relies on its attachments to dislodge and direct dirt toward the suction inlet, and this is especially true in stick vac mode, where the spinning brushroll has to catch debris and fling it toward the tube. There's not a lot of "raw" suction power, even on level 4/max mode, so temper your expectations here. That said, the stick vac attachment has a nice telescoping metal wand and quiet, useful powered floor head, and the multi-tool is surprisingly adept even on fabric. I found myself surprised by the effectiveness of this robotic vacuum's handheld and stick vac modes, and the E20's small size lends it well to quick cleanups and tight spaces. That being said, I would be hard-pressed to recommend this machine as your only vacuum, especially in larger spaces or with pets. The E20 includes only three tools, and while they cover most bases, you'll quickly tire of trying to clean an entire sofa with the multi-tool or reach far-away corners with the short crevice tool. Moderate suction aside, I two main issues with the E20's accessory design. First and foremost, the handheld tools only attach directly to the suction unit, and the floor tool attaches only to the base of the wand. You cannot put either hand tool on the wand, nor can you attach the floor tool directly to the suction unit. This is unlike pretty much any other cordless machine, where the tools are designed to universally attach and interchange with each other. It's particularly frustrating that you cannot attach the hand tools to the telescoping wand, as this really limits your reach with the machine. I'm also sure folks with carpeted stairs would have appreciated the ability to connect the powered floor head directly to the suction unit. My second issue with the E20's attachments is storage, or rather, lack thereof. While the crevice tool interestingly slots into the robot body, the multi-tool and wand/floor nozzle have no in-built storage methods of any kind. It seems to me Eufy could have easily included clips on either side of the base unit for these attachments to slot into, even if that meant making the compact base unit just a bit larger. A visit to Eufy's website shows an optional wall mount bracket included with some purchases, and at least one tech website mentioned this being available for purchase separately at some point. I'll likely invest in the bracket if/when it becomes available -- I'm already tired of looking at the attachments leaning against the wall -- but for the price I really think Eufy should include a bracket with every purchase, or have designed a simple way to store the attachments on the auto-empty base. Overall, the Eufy E20 is a very good robot vacuum with the added bonus of being a useful hand vac and stick vac. I am really impressed Eufy managed to design a suction unit that fits within a typical robot base but, at the push of a button, becomes a small cordless handheld with a decent selection of tools. In robot mode the E20 impresses with its mapping and maneuverability; in handheld and stick vac modes it does a very decent job, but it's hampered by small, non-interchangeable tools that (save for the crevice tool) have nowhere to go unless you find and purchase the separate wall bracket. All told, this is a very good robovac that offers you a bonus hand/stick vac, but I wouldn't recommend it be your only vacuum unless you're in a very small space that doesn't get very dirty. What a neat idea the E20 is, and I have a feeling the next generation of this new product category might really make you sit up and take notice. Let's hope Eufy (and others) keep developing what might someday become the only vacuum system you need.

As I use the eufy E20, I am amazed by the level of innovation. It’s reminiscent of the all-in-one desktop computer. The idea that you can reimagine and challenge the norm, while demonstrating there’s a better way. The robot vacuum space has seen a continual boom in products and it’s been forever since I had one, personally. Back then, I felt like the power/suction wasn’t there. There were too many parts - i.e. physical, battery-powered towers that acted as the perimeter barriers. And dust bins that were so small, you had to clean them after every 2-3 cleanings. How far we’ve come! This vacuum is really THREE practical tools in one: a robot vacuum, perfectly capable of cleaning up most everyday messes. A telescopic stick vacuum with almost 4x the suction for deep cleaning and thicker carpets. And a handheld vacuum (with crevice and brush attachments) for tight spaces (great for cleaning furniture or your car without having to fight an attached hose). The robot vacuum would easily run on a single charge to clean my apartment (right under 1,000 sq ft), but worry not — if it needs to be recharged it charges very quickly, achieving an almost full charge in just around 2 hours. Performance-wise, I found the robot vacuum to be great on hardwood, but just good on carpet. Worry not, a quick follow up vacuum with the stick vac and you’ve got flawless carpets too. The side brush is actually better than my previous robot vacuum as well. It seems longer and whereas my previous model would basically push dirt into corners to the point where it would just collect because the side brush couldn’t really reach - the eufy’s side arm is perfectly placed and is the perfect length to ensure this doesn’t happen. The innovations don’t stop with the 3-in-1 design either: while you can open the dust bin and empty it manually (which may be okay if you’re outdoors, cleaning your car - for example), it may not make as much sense indoors where you’re likely reintroducing dust and dirt back into your recently cleaned environment. With that in mind, you can just dock the vacuum back onto the robot body and send it back to the dock and the auto empty feature sucks all the dirt and dust right out of it. GENUIS! The eufy app is also a star of the show. Great layout. Easy to see the map created by the Robot vac and now you’re able to create virtual no-go zones or “zones” (e.g. if there’s areas you think need more attention) and you can schedule cleanings that focus on whole-home, rooms, or zones. You can also adjust the number of passes (1x, 2x). Suction (quiet, standard, turbo and max). And if you have thicker carpets, enable BoostIQ to detect long-pile carpets and automatically boost suction. You can also review the cleaning history if you want to confirm when and what was cleaned. I really see something like this being perfect for your apartment dweller where space comes at a premium and you may not want an unsightly huge tower-based stick vac system, which is ironically what I currently have. This is much more discrete and its easy to hide the pieces not being used without taking up a ton of space. The only reason I can’t completely get rid of my existing stick vac is it also doubles as a mop with dual-pulsating mop heads. I do wish (and maybe it’s in the cards for the future) that there was a 4-in-1 with that fourth feature being a mop. It would also be nice to see them boost the suction to meet or exceed that of some of the higher-end robot vacuums currently on the market now. All-in-all this is a GREAT vacuum. Outside of apartment dwellers, I could also see this being a great gift for that college student (or soon to be) in your life. One less thing to worry about as long as you can keep your floors free of clutter (this does have obstacle avoidance and its works well, but if your floor is mostly obstacles, you’re not exactly setting it up for success).

I’ve actually looked for something like the eufy E20 before. I think most people would agree that although robot vacuums are great, there’s yet to be one that does everything that an upright vacuum can do. Realistically you need both. The robot keeps up with the everyday stuff but the upright has more power and maneuverability. I’ve had a eufy robot vacuum before as well as other eufy products. Overall they make good products and this robot vacuum was an improvement on the one I had previously. It does a good job picking up dust, crumbs, and pet hair. I also haven’t had too many issues with it getting stuck. The one exception to that is I have a mat in my kitchen and the vacuum likes to try to force itself over that and ends up getting stuck between the mat and the toe kick of my cabinets. It does move around furniture smoothly without getting stuck though. Also, do not, I repeat, do NOT buy a robot vacuum that doesn’t have an auto-emptying bin. It’s not worth it otherwise, especially if you have pets and lots of fur to worry about. If this vacuum didn’t have it, I’d be emptying it every day if not even more. Where this vacuum differs from any others I’ve seen is that it also includes an upright vacuum. To me, this makes a lot of sense because you need the extra power of an upright. I also have stairs in my house so that’s a must. What I’m not a huge fan of is the battery life. On most settings it isn’t bad but if you go to Max, you better get the job done fast or you’ll have to split it up between charges. I do think sharing a motor between the vacuums is a little funky. Feel like maybe that was for cost savings? Overall, it’s a good vacuum (set) and does what you expect. Setup was fairly straightforward and the “smart” features like mapping work well. I think there’s room for improvement but overall, very happy and would recommend.

This review is on a eufy E20 3-in-1 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum. The packaging is professionally done. You will receive your vacuum with tape and joint protectors. The layout also makes it easy to understand how to assemble. There is a large picture on the box that shows exactly what you need to do to get started. There is a scan code on the box to install the eufy app. There is a placemat with grooves on it that will keep the base station from sliding around. After removing all the packaging and installing the app, it was easy to add the vacuum to the app. Press two buttons for 2 seconds and it will start asking for permissions to your phone. I am not sure what it needs access to my pictures for so I didn't let it. Then the vacuum will show up in your list and select connect. If your Wi-Fi is hidden you will have to make it visible for it to connect. Once I did that, there was no problem connecting to it. I like the design. It kind of has a sporty look to it. It is light and easy to move around. With the pole extension on, it moves with great ease and does a great job of getting around edges and corners. It is absolutely the perfect vacuum for stairs due to its light weight. However, while running on high with the pole I was only able to vacuum a little more than one room. It seemed to pick up some things with ease but it took a couple of passes to get strings up off of carpet. I think it would do fine on smooth surfaces but not so much on carpet. I even vacuumed up a peanut and it would just toss around in the roller and not go up into the vacuum. Being able to control with Alexa is great and the ability to map out the exact area you want cleaned is amazing.

The eufy E20 3-in-1 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum with Auto Emptying, Powerful Max 30,000 pa and Precise Obstacle Avoidance - Black is my 4th robot vacuum I have tried out in my house. In all honesty, I have never been completely satisfied with any of them... They don't get the edges or corners, they get stuck, they miss things completely. The dust bin gets full and they just quit in the middle of the job. The Eufy is similar but different. It actually mapped out my rooms smartly, by going along the edge and measuring out all my furniture, and then it went in a smart back and forth pattern and did a really good job of vacuuming up most of the dirt in my house. It didn't get stuck anywhere, I didn't have to rescue it, and it got close to the corners and edges of the room really well also. The auto emptying feature is really nice as I don't need to worry about the vacuum quitting mid job because it got full. It did however suffer from the same issue my other 3 robot vacuums do, and that is it won't go over the room connector strips where the floor in my house changes from hardwood, to tile, or to workout foam... so it won't vacuum my Kitchen, Bathroom, or work out room... the same as my other 3 vacuums. I do like that it converts into a stick vacuum so I can quickly vacuum those other 3 rooms myself instead of needing 2 different vacuums. And the eufy E20 is smaller than my other 3 vacuums, and the home base doesn't seem to care if it's in the corner next to other furniture, the vacuum still had no issues docking. Overall it's not perfect, but it's way better than those that came before it.
