    I’ve had these smoke detectors installed for a little over 1 year and connected to be monitored with my Ring alarm system. The batteries needed to be replaced after 1 year, so that was the first thing I wasn’t pleased with. I am away on vacation with poor cell signal, and found out that there was a smoke alarm about a half hour after it started. At this point the police and fire department had already responded. I did some research and discovered that false alarms with this particular detector are common. I have since disabled the monitoring so I don’t waste anymore precious time from the PD and FD. The false alarm started and ended in the same minute… the house was unoccupied with everything non-essential turned off… completely ridiculous.

    bought this because we have a gas furnace and we have a ring acount. so far so good...was one morning that it went off for no apparent reason, but would for sure by again!

    Good priced dual action detector. Only reason I gave 4 stars was one of the three I bought had to be returned. Every 3-4 days the dead battery chirp would go off, usually in the middle of night despite always fresh batteries. Replaced and so far, after 3 weeks all good. Very pleased over all and would recommend- easy install, nice and loud and does the job.

    Purchased these about 7 months ago. They worked great for the first month or so and then started giving false alarms constantly. Got to the point where they were completely unusable and we had to remove the batteries because they kept going off so much. Giving 2 stars as they work well with our Ring system and send alerts through the Ring app which is nice. If there weren’t so many false alarms this would be a great product.

    Great peace of mind -- watch out for fog though

    Very good system. I have one in a loft above the garage, and another by the bedrooms. We did have some false alarms because we had the windows open when some intense fog rolled in, but other than that they work great.

    Bought 12 of this alarms to cover basically every corner of my house, 4 of them died within the first year. They just keep triggering the smoke sensor, you remove the batteries, as soon as you put back them, it goes off again. I got only one replaced under warranty, it was very cumbersome process, so I didn't even bothered with the other 3.

    I have 7 of these connected to ring alarm. 5 of them have false alarmed. Once i didnt get to my phone quick enough and the fire department almost broke into my house. These detectors are trash.

    Too many false alarms!

    I have had so many false alarms with this alarm. Horribly, unbearably loud. Troubleshooting did not work. Had to cut the breaker and take out the batteries to get it to stop.
