For years had non-induction cook tops and thought we wanted gas. With someone elderly in the house, gas was not a safe option. This cooktop is utterly amazing. Sautéing can actually happen without the heat cycling. Need to make a rue? No problem. Boil water super quick? Right on. So glad we ventured into the unknown and gave this a try. Highly recommended!

Pros - heats up very fast. boils water in less than a minute for average size pots, burners are separated well to include 5 distinct areas vs 4 on my old GE cooktop Cons - There's a master power on switch before turning on a burner which is a slight hassle. The burner sliders to turn up intensity is not as specific as a + or - button, but is ok and takes a little while to get used to. You can press in different places on the slider to jump to a specific intensity, but it's not labeled so you might be one or two levels too high or too low of what you want and have to adjust accordingly. Overall the power and quickness to produce heat still outweighs the two small cons I mentioned

Has a feature after you turn off a “H” shows up on the display to indicate the burner is still hot. Nice safety alert.

I had to download installation instructions and owner manual from the website. It worked great until it quit in the middle of a dinner party two weeks after installation . Absolutely horrible customer service from Frigidaire. It took two weeks to get a technician to service and when he arrived he didn't understand the wiring and left without resolving the issue. A week later the second technician arrived without reading the notes from the first technician. He left while waiting for "engineering" to tell him what to do. Two weeks later a third technician showed up early, knocked on the door, and left when no one answered without calling or attempting to contact us. When I finally got a hold of him on the phone, he had no idea what he was coming to repair and told me I had to get a new service appointment from customer service. Customer service assigned a fourth technician from a third party affiliate. When I contacted the company to ensure the appointment, the technician had no idea what I was talking about...It has been over a month without a functioning cooktop and Frigidaire seems uninterested in fixing their appliance. I plan on returning and purchasing a different model from a different company. Hopefully Best Buy makes this right.

Posted .We are incredibly sorry for the experience you've had with both your cooktop and our customer service. From receiving the product without the necessary manual to the ongoing repair delays, this is not the level of service we expect or want for our customers.
We can only imagine how frustrating it must have been—especially with the added pressure of hosting a dinner party and being without a functioning appliance for over a month. The multiple technician visits, along with the lack of coordination between them, certainly don't reflect the standard we aim for, and we deeply regret the inconvenience.

Have no regrets. The function of the cooktop is beyond my expectations. You just need to have or get induction pots and pans but it’s worth the performance.
