Frustrating, hypersensitive control panel :(
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really, really wanted to love this range. The good: The oven is fantastic -- it holds heat beautifully and it is easy to use. Also, the unit is really great looking and is very easy to clean. The bad: The induction cooktop will shut off completely, with NONE of the burners working, if a drop of water falls on the control panel area. The unit will beep a few times then shut off, even if the water is wiped away quickly. This can happen from something as simple as condensate from the lid of a pan or water from my hands if I'm adding washed greens. Most of the time, I'm able to wipe up the droplet, dry it with a clean towel, and restart the cooktop. But sometimes it is not brought back to life by drying the water off. Four times since we bought this range four months ago, I have wiped up the water, dried it off with a clean towel, and have still been unable to get the cooktop to turn back on. It will beep and shut off immediately, no matter how often I press the power button. In these instances, I've had to flip the circuit breaker off and on to get the range to start working again. Talk about frustrating when I'm in the middle of cooking a meal!!! This crazy behavior is a direct result of the hypersensitivity of the control panel. Since the control panel is seamless with the cooktop itself, it's impossible to keep it free of drops of water 100% of the time, especially when using the front burners. Nearly every day, a drop of water from a lid falls on the control panel and I get the beep freakout and have to wipe it up before I can continue cooking. It's really, really frustrating. Curiously, while the range will beep similarly if I accidentally move a hot pan over the little lines separating the control panel from the cooktop area (to tell me to move it back, obviously), it won't shut off in this situation nearly as fast and I've not once had to restart the range because of it. It's only drops of water -- yes water! -- that seem to cause the problem. I can only assume it is the weight of the drop of water that makes the control panel freak out, but I don't know. I only know that it is really, really frustrating to have it happen so often.

Disappointed at this time....
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My total review is still pending. Not happy with the stove top limitations. Can't use most of my cookware. It does not seem that I can use a large fry pan on any of the burners; it may be my lack of knowledge and age. The sales person was fantastic though; I would recommend Zahne Townsend. He DID give the pros and cons.

Posted .Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns with the stove top limitations. Induction ranges do require compatible cookware, such as those made of magnetic materials like stainless steel or cast iron. The size of the pans should also closely match the burner size for optimal performance.
However, we are glad that to know your positive experience with the sales person. If you’d like assistance understanding your induction range or cookware compatibility, please feel free to reach out to us via Live Chat or call us at 1-800-374-4432, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. EST. We’d be happy to help! -Yhano
