It does what a microwave should do. It hears food and liquid rapidity. I like that I can see inside while it running. I don't like that fact that the control panel is not lit up. Cannot see it unless it's in direct light. Also the door opening button is hard to push and the door is loud to close.

In regard to the child lock, they give you instructions on how to disable it. The microwave works fine, as far as we can tell. We just bought it today, but we may return it because you can't read the buttons unless you have a brighter light on them. Why would they not put bright white lettering on it (like the photo shows)?

I had a similar GE microwave (with slightly larger capacity) that I loved. It was generally similar to this GE unit, but this has a couple quirks I don’t like (& I’ll note, I just got it “new” yesterday). The person who commented about the dark buttons was right & I wish I heeded their warning! On black units, GE used dark color lettering on the buttons that make them VERY difficult to read on the black console (even with a flashlight)! Also, opening & closing the door requires a harder push of the button & door (it doesn’t work smoothly like my previous unit) & doing so is quite loud, more than just a closure click. It sort of sounds kind of like clunking something plastic or metallic hard onto a counter. I can’t speak to it’s heating power since it’s new, but thought I’d share my immediate concerns.

I love this microwave. It's nice and very stylish. The door makes a loud noise when you close and open it so everyone in the house will know you're using it. It heats up well.

I got that microwave because it has a child lock, which doesn’t really work. Child still can open it by pressing Cancel first. Otherwise, regular working microwave.

This is really all you need for an office microwave. The only thing I don't like is that the door locks after you run it. You have to push the unlock button to get your food back out. This lock is likely what will break first.

It's good except opening and closing the door is noisy.

very good and fast, only drawback is the need to press off /end buttom to be able to open door.

Bought this for my mother, good microwave, hate the annoying child lock

I will be returning this microwave. It has several defects due to poor build quality. Most notably, the door becomes jammed constantly. It seems to have some sort of locking mechanism that gets stuck and must be pride open after each use. There is no way that this microwave will make it past the warranty., So I am returning it immediately while the return window is open with Best Buy. It also does not let you easily select more than six minutes for a cook time.

Not of a fan of this model. It automatically locks the door.

Beeps constantly unless you unplug it. Door sticks closed constantly. Door latches are poor quality/loose/and will not release when you press the open button. Returning to Best Buy.
