Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the 4.5 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer's quiet operation, excellent cleaning performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its large capacity and the inclusion of an agitator. While some experienced issues with the spin cycle's noise and occasional imbalance, the positive feedback on cleaning ability and user-friendliness outweighs these concerns. The glass lid is also a frequently praised feature.

Loving it so far
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Older Ge washer was having balance issue, tho it still could somewhat work, decided to finally get a newer one and went with this one after researching a good washing machine with this budget. Had issue with water leaking at bottom, but upon further troubleshooting , i just needed to tighten the drain hose better and unrestricting the outlet a little more so water could exit easier fixed the issue. Then started putting it to work washing several laudnry and it ran great, not too loud, and clothes were pretty clean and finished alot quick, i like the ability to select the fill options, the glass lid was a game changer to actually see how my clothes were doing. I like that it has the agitator similiar to the older model which fit my checklist. Overall im enjoying it, would recommend.

I'm going to be honest. I don't love this machine.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was extremely hopeful and excited when making this purchase, especially since I'm a cloth diaper mama. I liked that it has deep fill/water level control, so many load control options, and a large drum with an agitator. However, I just dont feel this washing machine does the best job. For example, our 12 year old son is in sports and I can still smell his body odor in the armpits of one of his shirts after it's been washed.... everytime! I even went as far as purchasing tide pods with Oxi bc maybe I'm not using enough detergent (since you dont need much) but no. That wasn't the issue! Not to mention, I have sensitive skin and cant do these heavily scented detergents. I'm not overloading the machine either so I just don't know. The auto sense water level will have dry clothes sitting on top of the water, even after the machine is finished, so I'm always using deep fill (which is only available with some of the wash settings). I'm not sure how that's an effective clean if the clothes aren't even wet. Our son also slipped in some mud and it took a few washes to get it clean but there's still a light stain... even tried shout. My old kenmore WOULD NEVER! I'm still trying to get my cloth diaper wash routine down also and its been over a month since we received the machine. They're getting clean but figuring out load size and detergent amount has been a struggle! I can't get the manual for just my machine either which is kind of annoying as I was looking for cleaning instructions as well as the control/settings info. It gets the job done, I guess, but I considered returning it each day before the window closed and wish I would have just gotten a refurbished kenmore. They don't make washing machines like they used to. I like that it has the glass top so I can see the clean/agitation and that I can open it unless its spinning (although I wish it would continue washing when opened). I like that you can delay the wash (up to 12 hours) if needed, it comes in handy when you have to leave but want to let the water heat up before running a load. I like the soak/extra rinse, deep rinse options as well. I really wanted to love this machine but it fell pretty short. Hopefully I can figure out the best settings to get an effective clean but at this time, I would not recommend this to a friend who's looking for a new machine.

Everything you need in a washer!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving it so far. It has the agitator, so the clothes get cleaned & it has auto fill or you can pick small, medium, large, or max load. Even has deep fill. I heard so many complaints about clothes not getting cleaned without enough water coming out or with no agitator, so i was glad to find this washer. There is 1 thing that might bother you, it is a little noisy. It's right next to our living room, so we just turn up the tv or music a smidge. We laughed & now we tune it out.. im very happy with my purchase.

Love it so far!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this unit for a couple of weeks now and it runs so smooth and looks so nice. I am used to basic, no frills washer and dryers so this is a huge upgade for me. Some people say it’s loud but it’s so much quieter than what I’m used to. I have no complaints. It’s well worth the sale price.

Features I wanted
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a GE Profile washer in 2004 - yes, 20 years ago, and I finally had to buy a new one. In 2013, I had it serviced because it wouldn't spin, and, since it was within the 10-year warranty, the transmission was replaced free of charge (paid couple of hundred for labor) and it lasted until this year. This GE washer had all the features I was looking for: top load, agitator, water control, and glass lid (so glad because it taught me unless you select deep rinse, it just squirts water during spin cycle). There was, however a slight learning curve and I wish it had more "my cycles" (old one had two). Also, two minor issues are: the tone to denote end of wash is too low to hear in another room and the machine always turns on when the lid opens - why when it has a power button?

Ver Efficient Washer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Iam very happy with this washer. The sensing feature on filling the machine is one of my favorites. It senses how big the load is before it fills and chooses the right level to fill the machine so I do not waste water. It also senses how many minutes the washer will tkae to complete cleaning the load. It does a great job of cleaning my clothes. I love my new washer and I got a great price on it at Best Buy.

Great Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have owned this great washer for a month. Replaced a 17 year old washer that finally gave up. I tried another new one, different brand, that was auto only and returned it. This one is so much easier to use and so much more versatile that I just love it and the price was almost the same. This gives full control of everything, and I can set it and leave it alone. My clothes come out exceptionally clean. It's almost as easy to use as my 17-year-old one was. It must be the best one out there because I can't think of anything that would make it better. I especially like the incremental water level feature that lets me add 3 gallons (or more) extra, after it begins washing. I highly recommend this great machine.

Love my washer but customer service is lacking!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I'll begin with the washer. I absolutely love it and give the washing machine a 5 star! I looked at and did a lot of research on washing machines with the features I wanted at an affordable price. I am extremely happy in choosing this washing machine. My favorite feature is the water control and deep fill. I saw a lot of reviews for other washers that would not fill with enough water for a effective clean. This does a wonderful job! I chose to buy this washing Machine from Best Buy because I have always liked the help I've gotten from customer service and Geek Squad. However! I give customer service a 1 star. I have been EXTREMLY upset and angry at their lack of help with my purchase! My washing machine was damaged in the delivery. I spoke to the "Large Product Fulfillment Resolution Team" and we came upon an agreement to resolve the issue. After over 2 months, time and energy spent making multiple calls and having to drive across town to try and speak to management in store, each time being told it will be taken care of, this is still not resolved! Did Best Buy promise to resolve this issue with no intension of actually following through?! Did they figure if they kept putting it off I would eventually forget? Since I can't seem to get the help from calling customer service or going into the store (because they apparently are not the ones that deal with the issue) perhaps leaving a review on my extremely negative experience with their customer service will get someone to contact me who WILL resolve this issue!

If I loved this washer more, I'd have to marry it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely adore this washing machine! It has a wonderful agitator that actually washes the clothes (as opposed to my old Maytag impeller), and I can actually set the water level, unbelievable! There are many cycles and most are customizable. Epic wash job and it spin dries the clothes really well. I love it!

Pretty good washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike the matching dryer, I really don't have a lot of qualms with this washer. Great capacity, seems to fill to the appropriate level for the load size (since it's Energy Star, that's a bit plus for me) and gets the clothes clean. If the matching dryer worked nearly this well, I'd feel a lot better about supporting GE products again.

So far so good, no-hassle, inexpensive washer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good with this washer (1 month old). Easy to operate, plenty of options. Automatic water level control is a great feature to have. It is not too loud either. Not a huge price tag. Glass lid helps to see what is going on inside once we start the washer. If you are looking for something a no-hassle washer at a good price, this is the best one

Customize wash cycle the way I want it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After extensive internet search this seemed to be what I was looking for. On display at Home Depot so I could see and touch so I purchased it there. Sales associates were helpful in answering questions and arranging delivery. Website states machine is 46" high which would not have worked for my space, but it actually measures 44 at highest point in back so it worked. LOVE THIS MACHINE. Like the older styles, it allows you to open the lid to add clothes or laundry soap and even change the water level during cycle. It just fills and continues the wash cycle. Have found even with full load of towels do not need any more water than "high". Will probably never use "maxiumum". Normal spin cycle wrings out towels nicely. But there are more choices if needed. Have done a dozen wash cycles and very pleased. Cute little tune plays to signal cycle end. Oh, and the lid with the see through window is made of a plastic type product, so I'll never have a rusted lid again like my old metal lid!! Would buy again.

Great Replacement or New Washer Option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old washing machine broke, leaked all over my floor. Some brands don’t have a drip tray. I needed to get a new one fast. It took a total of 2 days to go from ordered, to installed in my house. They even took the old one away for me. This works great, better than other higher end models.

Good, but may be inconvenient for short people
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this GE 4,5 cf washer for two months and so far, it works well. The only things I don't like about it are these: 1. It's height forces me to really stretch to reach down to the bottom of the tub to remove the last of the washed items. 2. The lid lock system prevents me from rinsing the soap and fabric softener measuring cups. Water won't start filling the tub until the lid is closed and locked. That should be an option for people who have children, not forced on everyone. (Yes I looked for a washer that didn't do that, but all that had the other features I wanted and good reputations had it.) Otherwise, it does a good job and I like being able to select the appropriate amount of friction, water, and spinning for the fabrics being cleaned. (But I miss my 32-year-old Lady Kenmore.)

Good Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this washer. It has a large tub, is fairly quiet, and easy to use. The only issue I've had is that when using auto for the Water Level Control, the machine tends to use very little water, and I wasn't sure the clothes were rinsing well. The problem is easily solved by just designating the water level manually. A good machine, and I would recommend it to others.
