Scooter issues and accident
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well while moving on avg. Mine had a fault however that was dangerous. the spring on the throttle handle was turned. It would click and snap into the handle. It caused me to get ran over by the scooter and damages.

A Journey of Build Quality vs Bumps Along the Road
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Voyager is a solidly built hybrid electric scooter that lowers the entry level for riders of all ages. It’s easy to assemble and incredibly fun to ride, which sometimes makes it hard to point out or remember the negatives. And there are a couple of important ones that need to be discussed, but I’d like to address the pros first, because there are many. From the moment you open the box and take the Voyager out, you’re struck with the build quality. The smooth ends on the tubular steel frame, the consistent welds and the precise way the steering yoke locks into place all make you feel like something that’s safe to ride. And that’s important because riding a sit-down hybrid scooter is quite different from riding an e-bike or e-motorcycle. There’s no pedals or foot pegs; instead, there’s a flat platform (which is wide enough to plant your feet side by side and feels sturdy). And steering is very different from a bicycle; you turn less aggressively and lean in with your body a bit. It takes a little getting used to but quickly becomes muscle memory. I found the acceleration a little surprising on the first launch, but it seems to ramp up slower after that first launch which to me is perfectly acceptable for this type of scooter. On my first test ride, I didn’t think it was going anywhere near the advertised speed but after bringing a speedometer app with me, I was easily able to get it up near 12 mph. Obviously, speed and range are going to be affected by the weight of the rider and cargo, but I was pleasantly surprised by the speed and handling. Initial rides on flat ground were impressive, but I wanted to see how it handled hills, so I tested two different grades; one that was subtle but enough to still feel like you were walking up a grade and another that I often went up with my mountain bike that required more effort. On the first hill, the Voyager slowed a little bit although it didn’t seem to labor much. I was expecting the second one to bring it to a standstill and while it did struggle a bit, I was surprised at how well it handled it considering that on my bike I would have to lower the gear and pedal standing! This is definitely a scooter designed for more level ground and pavement, and if you live in an area with a lot of hilly areas, I wouldn’t recommend it (with this power configuration anyway) but it was nice to know that the Voyager could at least handle the hills in my area when necessary. The ride was fairly smooth, but I had to adjust my rear shocks properly as they are set for a pretty rough ride at the factory. Even with the shocks and seat springs you have to be careful of potholes as you really feel it, especially through the handlebars. Fortunately the 14 inch pneumatic tires also soak up a lot of vibration so I can’t complain too much. There are a few negatives though and most of them are connected to the price point. For the price I think the Voyager have included a 500-watt motor rather than the 350-watt as configured. This would have improved the grade performance immensely and also would be more in line with what competitors are offering (sometimes for less). There’s NO instrumentation beyond a simple four segment meter to display the battery level. Now you can argue that you can get a phone app to do this, but at this price I would expect either instrumentation more in line with competitors. (Or at least include a phone holder!) Then there’s the seat mount. It’s really difficult to get this thing tight enough. The first time I rode the Voyager I hit a little bump and the seat bottomed out in the stem – not a pleasant experience for my tailbone! After messing with it I managed to get it tight enough so that it didn’t do that again, but every time I would shift to check traffic behind me the seat would swivel. I’m afraid that if I tighten it any more, I’ll break the plastic lever that locks it in place. If they’d spend a few extra bucks and either made the lever out of metal or redesigned the clamp itself this wouldn’t be an issue. Also, the brakes on my Voyager were reversed on the handlebars compared to the standard of right lever controls the back brake, the left lever the front brake. This made stopping for the first time a bit of a harrowing experience. While remounting them wasn’t impossible, it wasn’t trivial either. In checking around on the internet, I wasn’t the only reviewer that experienced this. Finally, there’s the weight. While that steel tubing makes for a solid build it also contributes to the overall weight. (Another case for the bigger motor!) The Voyager is foldable – almost remarkably so – and would fit in the rear of any standard SUV or even the back seat of some cars. But if you have a high lift over like my SUV does, it’s a bit of a struggle. If I was grading this simply on how much fun it is to ride and what potential it gives you for quick trips downtown, around a park or local shopping trips on urban/suburban streets, I’d give the Flex Voyager 5 stars without hesitation. I’m really looking forward to enjoying myself when the weather allows and planning on taking it to the Farmer’s Market on weekends. But given the pricing and the things I mentioned, I’d put this in a short list with other competitors and suggest you do your research before making a purchase decision.

Great for flat roads
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always wanted a electric scooter and when this came up, I know I have to get one. Well it has it's good points and bad points. The item came fast and it was in good condition (packing and such) so I was excited to get this thing on the road. Please remember I am 6' and 235lbs as I describe things in this review. Some tech specs to be aware of: 350w single motor system. dual braking with 2 brake levers footboard it about 7" across, so not a lot of room to spread the shoes out. Here are the things I noticed about this scooter. Good: 1. Large wheels, to make going over small cracks and holes a non issue. 2. Handle bars are good length and feel sturdy when using it. 3. Seat is comfy and has good spring to it when bumps do occur. 4. Charges in under 7 hours (others seem longer) so you can ride and recharge in shorter time. 5. Not too heavy, so packing it up and transporting is not much of a problem. 6. Comes with all tools needed to assemble/tighten/loosen the scooter to your needes 7. Good milage for the size. 15.5 miles at up to 15 MPH (depending on rider weight and incline of road 8. Comes with basket for rear installation. It can handle up to 35 pounds with not problem (unless you go over the 264 lb weight restriction with rider and other items) 9. Front and back lights are quite bright and work great in low light and night time (although it is not advise) 10. Good speed for the engine size. sit down, strap in and you are off in a jiff. Bad: 1. Seat is not the same as shown in the ad. I was expecting a saddle style. But it ended up with a smaller simi diamond shape. Which is less comfortable and tends to make your legs slide around more. 2. 350w single motor is good for flat land, but anything above a slight incline it can not make it. Even being under the weight limit, it would struggle 3. Charge port plug (rubber nub) gets in the way when trying to charge. Would not be a issue if you never expose it to moisture or splash a puddle. 4. Throttle is far left portion of grip and it turns up and down. This means if your hand moves even slightly it will reduce your speed very quickly. It would have been better to use a thumb lever or use the whole grip as the throttle (like a motorcycle) 5. There is no information on the display other than charge. So no distance, miles, speed or anything to help you not get stuck without power. Needless to say, it does work and it is fun. But since I live a slightly hilly area, I will have to find something else with more power.

Battery life gets bad fast. Slow to charge.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a decent scooter. The only complaints i have are related to the battery. It started off super strong and we'd get reasonably close to the advertised miles. We've only had it for almost a month and only put about 40 miles on it and now it only gets about 6 miles on a full charge. The batteries are the most expensive part of the scooter so its very disappointing. Also, its very slow charging- if you run the battery down to 50% make sure to plan on it needing to charge 4 to 5 hours to reach a full charge. On the brightside it is super easy to push when it does run out of batteriy on you.

Maybe “ok” for the money but doesnt go 15miles
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No where near 15 miles distance. Charged over night initaily and every time. Carrying a 125LB person at most 7 miles IF that. It’s disappointing, but for under 400 all bikes seem tiny, this one heavy and bit larger. Also whoever assembled it should get a different job. Eveything was off including strering, back flap etc.

Only ran for 2 weeks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this scooter 05/22, it stopped working 06/05. This was my daughter’s birthday present, she absolutely loved it and has ridden it a probably 10 days out the 15 days that we have had it. She is 5’6 and approximately 120lbs so below the weight limit. I’ve read that Best Buy does not allow returns on electric scooters/bikes so I have reached out to GoTrax but have not heard back yet. Very disappointing!!

Will not pull hills for adults.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for myself I am 5' 6" 170 lbs. Worked as described on flat surfaces, this will NOT pull small hills, you will have to get off and walk the hills. My grandson is 7 y/o and this works good on both flat and hills. This product would work well for a kid not adults unless only flat surfaces.
