Poorly Made — Horrible Customer Service

Do not buy this printer, or anything HP. I bought this just over a year ago. The color blue has stopped working (yes the ink is full.) I tried all the troubleshooting techniques recommended by HP. Nothing has fixed it, so I called HP directly. They told me the printer was 47 days out of warranty and I needed to pay $19.99 to move forward with tech support. I refused, so they tried selling me a monthly subscription at a “cheaper” cost of $6.99 (apparently in preparation of this breaking many more times and continually needing their assistance.) They refused to offer any support or replacement parts since it was just over a month past the 1 year warranty. Don’t ever buy from a company that does not stand behind their product. I’m buying Cannon products only from now on.

I’m disappointed that I was forced to give this one star because zero stars would be more appropriate. Printer worked well for maybe a month and then only worked intermittently afterwards. Paper would not feed and constant Error 4 message. Cleared the jams, changed the paper and cleaned the rollers as recommended via the interwebs and still had the same issues. The printer feed mechanism is very cheaply made and not designed well at all. Not like HP printers of yesteryear. No support or assistance from HP other than ridiculous ideas such as “clean the rollers” or pray to the Printer Gods for it to work. Pros: 1. Fits in a trash can 2. Is not radioactive (have not confirmed) 3. Saves ink and paper Cons: 1. Paper jams 2. Doesn’t print

    HP 6001 and Customer Service

I bought this printer roughly 6 months ago, worked pretty decent. Until a month ago, a print head error came up and HP customer service took a week to send replacements that didn’t fix the problem. Now they are wanting the printer back to send the replacement. This process will take 14-21 days. In the meantime they want me to suck out the printer ink out of the current printer since they will not be sending more ink. This is a complete hassle, I wouldn’t recommend this printer or this company to anyone.

I purchased this as my old DeskJet all in one kept loosing connectivity, and as a office printer for both work and school, I needed a good color printer. First page prints fine but front end gets bent, then 2nd or 3rd, jams now every time. I am debating on getting HP again. HP paper Jams, any paper Jams

I have never had so many issues with a printer. The printer heads aren’t working, it jams often and the connection to WiFi is terrible. I spend half of my time troubleshooting. I would most definitely not recommend.

Unreliable printer. Prints only when it want to and not when you need it to print. So Unreliable Best Buy sell but dont deal with it. Best Buy only refers back to HP. Avoid it like plague.

    AVOID HEWLETT-PACKARD AT ALL COST!

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HEWLETT-PACKARD PRODUCT EVER BECAUSE OF THEIR ILLEGAL PRACTICES!! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF IF COULD! AVOID HEWLETT PACKARD PRINTERS AT ALL COST IF YOU WANT TO USE NON-HP INK BECAUSE HP INK IS TOTALLY OVERPRICED! FOR THE FIRST 9-10 MONTHS MY HP PRINTER ALLOWED ME TO USE NON-HP INK. HOWEVER, HP THEN BURIED SOMETHING IN AN AUTOMATIC UPDATE THAT PROHIBITS ME FROM USING NON-HP INK. TOTALLY LOCKS UP PRINTER AND MAKES UNUSABLE UNTIL YOUO INSTALL HP INK! I SPENT HOURS ON THE TELPHONE WITH AT LEAST FOUR CUSTOMER "SERVICE" AGENTS. THEY ALL REFUSED TO HELP FIX THE ISSUE, AND LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME HP DOES NOT DO ANYTHING TO PREVENT 3RDF-PARTY INK EVEN THOUGH PRINTER GIVES NOTICE: "The indicated cartridges have been blocked by the printer firmware because they contain a non-HP chip." HP HAS BEEN SUED OVER THIS AND LOST CLASS ACTIONS BUT CONTINUES THIS DESPICABLE AND ILLEGAL PRACTICE.

    Could not connect. Returned

After plugging in the printer and downloading the app, I proceeded to start the setup. Almost immediately I received an error message in the app. “We’re sorry, something went wrong. We're having a technical issue with your HP Smart setup session. We weren't able to resolve the issue and can't finish printer setup right now. Exit setup and try again later to resolve this issue. If you continue to have issues setting up, contact HP Support.” I kept getting this message after several attempts, powering down, restarting. Finally I tried to contact customer support, however it said that it didn’t recognize the serial number and product code! Unbelievable! Thankfully I was able to return.

Wonderful printer and save hundreds on ink. HOWEVER, it broke after exactly one year. Replaced cartridge still didn’t work. Bought another part they said was the problem; still didn’t work. Now they’re saying it’s a problem with the hardware and I need to simplify purchase another printer. I bought in August 2022 and it crashed September on 2023. I’m highly disappointed and left having to purchase another printer which isn’t in my budget!!!

    The Worst

This is the worst printer, copier, scanner I have ever owned. Basically, take the list of things it is supposed to do and that is the list of what gave me trouble. The HP support is useless, leaving me in endless loops of frustrating misunderstandings. The answer to every problem is to turn it off, unplug it, and start over with this working less than half the time. There isn't one thing this machine did well, and most things it didn't do at all including, would not print on both sides of the paper, would not print on envelopes, and would jam about every other print job. My first mistake was buying it on a whim, my second was spending too much time trying to problem solve it rather than returning it, until it was too late.

HP PCs may be good - but avoid their printers

Seemed nice at first. Developed connectivity or software issues that gradually deteriorated into complete inability to communicate after connecting to network. Did reset to factory settings, didn't help. Thankfully I have Total membership so was able to return to store and exchange for printer from a different manufacturer even around 3 months later when this thing totally locked up. I had always liked HP PC's and printers over the last 15 years or so but the last two printers have been below average and now awful as far as ease of use. Avoid like the plague.

Horrible! It disconnects from wireless on a daily basis. Every time I send something to be printed, nothing happens. I have to try to reconnect the wifi, which does not work. My WIFI is strong. I even got a new router, just in case. I then have to unplug, reinstall and set up like a new device. HP should be ashamed, they know this is a flaw and still offer only a worthless one year warranty.

    Avoid the HP Tank 6001

Avoid the HP Tank 6001 – Very Disappointing Experience I strongly advise against buying the HP Tank 6001 printer. It has caused me constant frustration with repeated printing issues — it freezes, doesn’t print, and I often had to restart it just to get a single job done. Worse than the product itself is HP’s customer support. The assistance is extremely poor. They expect the customer to go through a long list of technical tests, essentially acting as their technician. For someone without technical skills or for older users, this is completely unreasonable. I bought the printer, and within just five months it started malfunctioning. I contacted support and spoke with three different representatives, but my problem was never resolved. After wasting hours of my time and dealing with unnecessary stress, I gave up, threw the printer away, and took the loss. It was a waste of time, money, and energy. Very disappointing.

Very difficult to connect the printer to my PC laptop. Talked to 2 tech support specialists on the phone and 1 Level 2 tech support specialist on the phone and no one could make it work. The printer's small screen does not tell you much and the directions are minor. Wish I got another type of printer.

This was supposed to replace an Epson we had for 7 years. I figured we could try an HP because we use them at work. Unfortunately, this HP printer is by far the worst printer I have ever owned. The installation instructions are horrible. It took forever to get it connected to my wifi network and when we did get it connected, it would continually disconnect, go to sleep, would not print and when it did print the quality was horrible. Additionally, when left on, the printer would seem to reset with all the light flashing and the only support provided was "pull the plug". I spent wasted hours trying to get it to work to no avail. And to add insult to injury, unfortunately, the return window (2 WEEKS?!?!?!) has closed so this will end up in the garbage. Had I known Best Buy's return policy is only 14 days, I would have purchased it elsewhere. I just purchased the Epson ET-2800 form Amazon, received it the same day, and it installed and works without issue. Should have stuck with Epson (and Amazon) from the beginning. Just another expensive lesson.

First of all, you’ll have to restart this promter eveytime and hope it reconnected to network. Second, at this price they have not provided the facility of bulk scanning. Third, this always breaks down and you wil have to fix, does not work for anyone who is not good with technology.

This printer has wasted 8+ hours of my time with issues and troubleshooting, and we’ve had it less than 60 days. First, it wouldn’t connect to WiFi and we had to buy a USB-C in order to print. Then, it wouldn’t print in color. Today, I tried to print off pictures and could not get the printer to connect at all, even with the cord. Absolute piece of trash. It’s going back to Best Buy tomorrow, and I expect a full refund.

Now it’s another return because i am not going to go through a connection set up every single time i want to print. HP needs to get their heads outta their you know whats.

Worst printer I have ever purchased. It doesn’t link up to any of my Bluetooth devices. I have to turn it on and shut it off any time I use it. It was a waste of money and I wish I never bought it. The instructions are terrible! Unfortunately it’s way past the time of returning it, but I’m going to try to see if the geek squad can fix it.

I have not been able to set the printer up. I believe I received a defective printer because I was unable to connect it to my WiFi. Printer has no Ethernet port or USB so it has been returned. I am very computer savvy so this issue was not caused by my error.
