Gets the job done
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I broke my last microwave, which was a pretty big microwave. I decided to try a smaller microwave this time around for more counter space. Its does the job for the most part. Takes longer to heat stuff up and sometimes uneven heating.

Very bad display
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a basic oven. Works good but the display is a shame. Good size for small kitchens but I definitely don't recommend to buy it.

Good Except for the large plug
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a perfectly fine microwave. Nothing exceptional - it does what a microwave is supposed to do and it comes in a nice compact footprint. It also looks decent. But we returned it because it has a large plug. Why Insignia didn't use a right angel plug is just bad design. Not only is the large plug an eye sore it is slightly inconvenient when you use the other part of the outlet a lot for other things - you have to go around the microwave plug. Very disappointing design flaw - it would have taken nothing to use a 90 degree plug. Otherwise it was fine, and we would have kept it.

BB Insignia Microwave
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this one because the sound could be turned off. Other brands might have this feature, but it wasn't mentioned in the description. If it's like my similar Insignia it probably won't last but 2 or 3 years. The turn table is going out on it. The interior light is not as good on the newer model. Still it's working so far. Can only recommend if you don't have high expectations.

Microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice compact microwave. Heats well for a small unit. However, it occasionally makes strange noises during the heating cycle. (NOT food noise like popping, etc. It’s something motor or mechanism related). We don’t think it will last long. Our old small one lasted for years.

Replacement microwave same model with differences
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a replacement for the same microwave I purchased 5 yrs ago. It looked identical, but I noticed some differences. The inside light is not as bright. The panel screen buttons are extremely difficult to read because the print is tiny and very faint compared to the old model. At night I have to use a flashlight to see the buttons. Only 1 beep goes off at the end instead of the 5 beeps. Overall, I think the heating is the same. But seriously, who made the changes to the button panel and inside light? Bring back the old panel and light.

Basic microwave at a good price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Basic microwave at a good price. However, reliability is not great. We are our 3rd one in 5 years. They seem to last 12=18 months. This time I added the extended warranty. Why not switch to another unit? This one fits well in our space, has the features we need, and we know how it works.

Poor design on control panel. Very hard to read.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The microwave works fine, but the text on the control buttons is VERY hard to read. If I'm using the microwave at night to heat up some tea I shouldn't have to turn on the overhead light or get out of flashlight to be able to operate the thing.

Does the Job
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this small microwave for the office. It basically does the job. It's a bit rickety and the center plate doesn't lie flat. That said, it heats up food and serves it's purpose.

Microwave purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just wrote a review, but it vanished before I ended it...Very frustrating. It basically discussed the really small selection of models offered, and how expensive they were. This one we purchased is smaller than our past models and adequate but not really what we wanted. Salesman said they were getting more choices in "soon."..

Microwave
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s honestly not the best microwave. It takes twice as long to heat things up from frozen or from the fridge. It gets the job done, just not the best microwave.

It’s a microwave
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a microwave. Cord is super short so hard to find a place to put. Seems to take longer to warm food. Not a fan of door handle verse button but for the price would buy again. Good for apartment and temp needs

Will it last?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks nice but feels/sounds cheap. Don't think it will last 18 years like the one it replaced. Bought this because very few options to fit our space.
