Bought for computer for a dual monitor setup and worked just as it was supposed to. Better alternative to having to buy a DisplayPort if you already have hdmi.

This Insignia DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter seems to be made of solid materials and worked just fine...for 6 weeks. Then it stopped working. The DisplayPort end was also incredibly hot to the touch and I'm just happy it didn't damage my computer. I tried other cables and adapters and the computer output was fine; it was the adapter that went bad. I saw that there is a 15 day (!!!) return/exchange policy at Best Buy but thought I should at least check if I could exchange for a new adapter as Insignia is a Best Buy brand, but no luck. I'm terribly disappointed in this product and the incredibly short return/exchange window but for the month-and-a-half it did work, it worked fine. I don't know that I would ever buy an Insignia product again especially since the price runs about twice as much as the cost of this type of adapter almost anywhere else and the return/exchange window is so short.

It is the best item I have bought at Best Buy it lets me connect any device to my computer! It’s great!!!

Great cable, this come handy for any IT department. If your PC doesn't have an HDMI port for video. This will do the trick.
