Works ok otherwise as a dock & you get "performance" mode. Even when trying a different 100w PD adapter or the 65w OEM adapter (both which work fine on their own), so it seems to be a problem with the power passthrough? Tough call on the recommendation, while, yes it "works", you would expect when docked to get full performance of the Ally.....

I just do not like the bottom of the stand is metal and afraid it might scratch my rog ally x, but it has not. Thats a good thing. All in all its decent.

The only thing about this product is when I charged it, it’s not charging at its full capacity that the rog ally thinks it still running on battery.

It feels really sturdy and of good quality. It has rubber where it holds the device so it doesn’t scratch which is nice. I just wish it had FreeSync. That’s the only thing it’s missing for me.

It works great I just wish it had a place to hide the wire when not in use.

It sets up like windows so some unnecessary files or apps get installed but the it still plays well. I'm glad I can play all my games from my xbox and steam. Plus the rewards system is pretty if you're a dedicated gamer. The drawback is the low battery life. I think I average about 30m when playing. There's accessories to hook it up to the TV and since it's Windows, it already pairs well with xbox controllers .

The constructions seems solid. It comes with a power supply so you have an extra one of those. I do wish that it also had another USB -C port and not just USB 3.0 ports, but it does what it's supposed to and so far I am not seeing any down sides. Will have to report back after we have owned it for a little longer.

25w "turbo" less than 3 weeks

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.took literally 2 days passed my return policy for it to mess up and start giving me the dreaded "25w only" issue, instead of 30w via turbo, using my stock rog charger doesn't fix. other than that it's been great, perfect for my multi alt-runescape grinding, just feel pressured to play in handheld again if i want to helldive.

Also its very upgradable with a 2tb m.2 drive, easy installation and you dont have to worey about transferring any data cause it does that itself! Be sure to get the small form factor of the m.2

Still a pretty good dock for other devices I have.

I don't own a steam deck dock yet, since i wanted to try out other alternatives. The resolution is alright. Overall it's fine and it works.
