Does what it’s supposed to. Not sure how fast of speeds it can support but for one Gbps and under it’s been fine.

Got this as a replacement for a bad mobo nic. It was for a user that is not the most tech savvy. Was able to tell them to plug into one of the same ports that looks like what there mouse is plugged into based on a picture from the user. No drivers needed and internet began working immediately. Good in a pinch. Can recommend and almost anyone could use it without technical experience. Better than adding in a PCIe replacement that requires the computer case to be opened.

I initially wanted the cheaper version which was the essentials, but they were out of stock at my local store. I managed to pick this version instead. I bought this strictly for the Nintendo Switch and I saw a 30% speed gain compared to a wireless connection(close proximity to the modem). The wired is undoubtedly stable compared to playing online with a wireless connection.

Best decision to use cable download to PC instead of Wi-Fi, this is more secure and undoubtedly faster when you are using your PC from work station. Plug your Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the Ethernet adapter end and the USB end to your USB-A port of your computer and you are in business. My PC is Windows 11 and it connected without a glitch. Most new laptop PC’s are designed to be lighter/thinner and thus lack an Ethernet port, this is where this INSIGNIA USB to Ethernet adapter is a necessity.

I have been struggling to find a job until I was interviewed for a remote job. The recruiter wanted to check the speed of my internet that I had on my chromebook. This worked flawlessly!! It provides an internet connection through a usb hub and usb 3 provides faster speeds. Only drawback is sometimes it would disconnect indicating no internet and would have to re find the drivers to restore internet connection. Good fix if item doesn't have a wired ethernet port or unable to add a pci card to the device.

Easy. Connected to laptop. Gave it a moment to connect, (there's no on screen notification that it is recognized, so don't expect that or worry) and thrn inserted my ETHERNET CABLE to it. After that, immediately, I was connected with my network at faster speeds than WIFI.

My workplace doesn't allow the use of personal laptops to our WIFI network but I need to use my laptop as I'm a hybrid employee. Turns out this was a cheap solution to having fast internet without fighting with our IT department

I currently use this for my switch and I get the same speeds as my pc at home. It’s been nothing but great to me.

This adapter does exactly what it was intended to. There is no setup needed. The speed was more than adequate, my plan speed is 1gb and when tested with this adapter was 833mb.
