If you are looking for a keyboard that is light, well designed and will help you with productivity I found JLab Wireless Keyboard will be a perfect choice for you. Let me explain why and how it worked out for me. First of all, this keyboard has two ways to connect to your devices: via Bluetooth directly or with the help of a small USB wireless dongle. Either way, you will have a good connection. Another great feature of this keyboard is you can connect and switch between three saved devices whether it is a notebook, a tablet or your phone. This keyboard works well with any PC, Mac OS, Android or Chrome OS, and you can also find Mac OS shortcut keys. I always look for a keyboard to have a Number pad and this one has it as well. I found typing on this keyboard to be pretty comfortable, the keys are well spaced and my wrist never got tired when using this keyboard for lengthy periods. The Media Knob is pretty handy for changing the volume. I I have been mostly using this keyboard with my 14.8" tablet and some times I'd switch to my phone for composing texts. The rechargeable battery in this keyboard lasts up to 10 months so that is another favorable plus. I also like to customize my keyboard and JBuds keyboard lets you save profiles and assign keys to specific functions. I'd definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for productivity and affordable solutions, thanks to its price tag.

Competent Keyboard for writers, no math

For writers on a budget, Jlab delivers a very competent Bluetooth keyboard. I’ve been using Logitech peripherals for many years. I like how they feel and generally how well built they are. When I was looking to get an extra keyboard to keep at the office, I thought I would try JLab’s value priced keyboard instead of getting a premium Logitech one. JLab has taken most of what makes Logitech great and packages it at a very competitive price. The alphabetic keys are well spaced and travel nicely. There’s sufficient force needed to avoid accidental activation, while also not making your fingers tired from too much pressure. The keys are slightly stiffer than the Logitech MX Keys keyboard I’d been using, but not enough to notice after a minute or two. The major downside to this keyboard is the choices made in the numeric keypad placement. In the end, it was enough for me to set it aside. Jlab decided to shrink the keyboard by 3 inches and move the numeric keypad above the arrow keys. The math operations keys moved to the side. By doing this, the number keys are far out of position for me as a touch typist. Since I work with numbers all day as an accountant, this placement for me was a deal breaker. It’s a shame, since JLab got some many other things right. There’s a companion app which lets you reprogram the function keys. There’s also a handy volume control which also can pause/play any media application which happens to be open. I used it with Amazon Music and with Windows Media Player and both worked fine. Note that in order to program a key’s function, the keyboard needs to be connected with the included USB-A dongle. Once the key has been programmed, the keyboard can be connected again via Bluetooth and the programming will remain in operation. Here are some of the pros and cons of the keyboard: Pros: Comfortable design Mechanical switches with a satisfying feel Responsive Rechargeable battery with USB charger Great value Thin and lightweight Cons: Odd numeric key placement No dedicated keys for Pg Up, Pg Down, Home, and En Overall, the keyboard is ALMOST great. Logitech is going to have to up their game as there’s finally some competition!

    Compact Wireless Scissor Switches Keyboard

The JBUDS Wireless Scissor Keyboard from JLAB is a suitable replacement for my full-size keyboard. The sturdy plastic base with rubber pads on the bottom helped to keep the keyboard from creeping across my desk while typing. Although the keyboard is compact, the spacing of the keys is comfortable. The feel of the scissor switches provides appropriate pressure feedback, and the keys are quiet. The media knob on the top right is convenient for adjusting the computer volume and pausing/playing music. Since I use this as a shared keyboard between two Macs and a Windows computer, I appreciate using the Function keys for switching between Mac and Windows keyboard layouts. I downloaded and installed the JLAB Work App on my Mac for customizing some of the keys. Still, the App does not see the keyboard, even though I'm using the dongle, and all three computers work with the keyboard just fine. While I understand the need for some compromises when laying out the keys on a compact keyboard, I am not a fan of the numeric keys toward the top. I often use the number pad, and all of my other keyboards have the keys toward the bottom. That is where my hand naturally gravitates. It will take some adjustment to get used to the positions. I wanted to give this keyboard five stars, but I'll be taking off a star with the issue with the Work App and the placement of the numeric keys.

    A Great Multi-Device Keyboard

I have been really enjoying using Jlab’s Wireless Keyboard. I have it paired to my work desktop, my chromebook, and my Z Fold5. It was a bit tricky to get it connected to my chromebook at first, but I think that was an issue with my chromebook. Once everything was setup it has been a pleasure moving between devices. I have only been using it for about a week now, and the battery life is still going strong. It’s rated to last about 10 months on a charge and so far so good. Keys feel really good when I use them, and the little dial in the upper corner is a nice addition to quickly adjust volume. I was able to use the little wireless adapter to connect to my work desktop, then I connected to my Z Fold5, and Chromebook using bluetooth. I also have a mouse that allows for 3 devices to be hooked up at once. The Z Fold5 I have connected to an extra monitor so I have that in Dex mode when I am at my desk. It’s really simple to move between devices with the mouse and keyboard. The keyboard connects to is able to connect to all of my devices and keeps me connected to the 3 I use the most. It feels comfortable to type on, and the extra media keys/dial and shortcuts come in handy. Battery is supposed to last for a very long time. All in all this is a great buy. Oh yeah, and you also get the number keys without having to get a huge/heavy keyboard.

This keyboard is definitely good quality, feels solid, and the connectivity was pretty simple. Also, I found it cool that it can connect to up to three devices, so its easily interchangeable when my daughter needs to use it. Things to note: - Not battery operated; it charges via USB-C and a usb A to C is included. The charge does last a good amount of time depending on how much you use the keyboard. I went about 4 days of low to moderate use without an additional charge. - You can download the Jwork app if you want to get all technical and customize the buttons usage, but I do know a lot of my family and my kids don't care about doing all that like I do. - I found the placement of the numeric keyboard a little awkward, especially because I am accustomed to it being in the same place. It is in the upper right hand corner rather than the lower. That's something to get used to. It would be nice if the keys lit up, especially when I'm editing on my laptop, but this keyboard isn't for all the frills and extras, it is a good, basic yet quality wireless keyboard option.

Affordable and versatile keyboard, no batteries

This keyboard is easy to setup and use and best of all it works with different devices. JLab has the epic keyboard that has illuminated keys, and this one that is without yet it works flawlessly and no batteries are needed. I like how it easy to take it with me in my backpack because it is slim and does not take much space, it is easy to turn on and pair it with a device using the Bluetooth 5.2. For example I can use it with my cell phone, if I have the kids in the car they can use the keyboard with their tablets and I can use it with the dongle if the device does not have Bluetooth and can accept the keyboard like a laptop or pc if necessary. Connecting the keyboard is easy, just push and hold the Bluetooth button and it is ready to connect. Switching between devices from the keyboard is also easy, press the connection key and it has 3 colors (amber for Bluetooth, blue for Bluetooth and purple for the dongle that is included). And the dongle is hidden in the bottom of the keyboard and it is easy to take off and put back. The keyboard comes with a USB A to USB C cable (the keyboard has the USB C input), no charging block included but its ok since the battery lasts a long time (around 10 months), I can charge it with my computer or any other block I have at home. The keys are soft and they do not make much noise so I can use it day or night. The media knob is a nice extra, it can be used to pause, play, track forward as well as back by pushing it and volume up or down by turning it. I also like how the shortcut keys are labeled in blue and in the manual it gives a further description of them. I did not see the battery light turn on, only when I was charging it. I don’t know if there is another way to check the battery life, but if I see the battery light turn red then I know it is less than twenty percent charge on it. Overall I like the JBud wireless keyboard, it performs well and it is easy to use.

A Triple Threat At A Competitive Price

This is like my 4th wireless keyboard. And it seems like these things just keep making my live a little bit easier or just plain out spoiling me with cool features that I didn't know I even needed. Enter the JLAB Wireless Scissor Keyboard with a type-C charging port. I was blessed with oppertunity to try this thing out and rate it for you guys. If you don't know what a scissor keynoard is, it's basically the keyboard that comes in most chromebooks and macbooks. A lot of newer, and smaller gaming laptops are using these also. They have less travel in the key strokes, keeping you from fumbling over your keys and giving you simular feel that you have while typing on your smart phone. Speaking smartphones. This is one of those versitile lil' keyboards. My last keyboard was able to switch between two devices, such as my smartphone and PC via a USB-A dongle. Simply by pressing a button. It was compact and easy to use, but as I said. It was compact, which made it feel a little cramped. I wouldn't hve cared as much, because I love the comfort I had from the scissor style keyboard. But then I open this one up. And Oh... mah gaw'd! Is this this thing lovelyto type on.( That wasn't a question) Yes, though. It is a full sized keyboard. Meaning you've got all of the comfort of your PC to type on your , tablet, & PC(Instead of my PC, I prefer to use it for my Xbox Series X). That's right. You read that correctly. This thing connects all 3 devices at once. There's a little slot on thee bottom of the base that houses the dongle for safe transport. It's weird, because it is roughly the same size as my last kyboard , but there's just more space to work with. The only 2 things im going to miss from the previous keyboard is: 1 This keyboard isn't raised as much on the back, so it feels like tping on a flat suface at times. And secondly: There's no slot to place my phone so i can see my screen while I type a message. Other than that, it has all of the smart keys and even a dedicated knob in the uppr right corner for volume control( Why? And thank you!) Like I said earlier. These keep giving me things i didn't think I needed.. I just wish it were backlit. But that just may be asking for too much. i definitely recommend this keyboard to everyone, especially console gamers that like to comfortably text to their friends.

Jlab is known to make really good products at a very reasonable price. This wireless keyboard is definitely that. It is a good keyboard at a reasonable price. In the box you will find a very lightweight keyboard with usb dongle that is attached to the bottom of the unit itself. Also there is a usb-a to usb-c charging cable but no power brick. By now most people will probably have a dozen or so power bricks laying around so that wasn't a real big negative for me. I didn't really think that attaching the usb dongle for the wireless 2.4ghz at the bottom was such a good idea. Because it's uncovered, I can see the possibility of losing that when the keyboard is moved and never knowing it. You connect using that dongle or bluetooth, which has multi device capabilities, which was nice. Keys had a nice tactile feel but I think you will notice that it's not the same as a high end wireless keyboard or the keys on a laptop. Love that it has a volume wheel on the upper right hand corner and numbers pad. 2 of my favorite features. The thing I don't like is that the keyboard is not backlit, usb dongle attached to the bottom of the keyboard and it is a little on the large size making a little more difficult to travel with. But that's not to say it's huge, it is just bigger than my compact wireless keyboard. Imo, this is a great keyboard to use as a travel keyboard for tablets, I wouldn't recommend using this full time.

So far I’m very pleased with the feel and function of the JBUDS Keyboard. It’s lightweight but feels reasonably well made for the price. Yes, it’s all plastic. I think the keyboard has at least as good a feel when typing as any laptop I have. Even a couple of gaming laptops. Slightly more travel than the aforementioned. The keys have a slight textured feel too. Other than that, they are the typical square keys with a very very subtle amount of dish that have been en vogue for the past 20 plus years. The white lettering on the black keys is large enough to be easily read. Setup for Bluetooth was easy on my Android phone, iPad and Windows PC. Same for using the USB dongle. You can have it set up for up to 3 separate devices. Status LEDs at the top tell the battery state and Bluetooth. It charges via USB C and a USB A to USB C cable is included. The keyboard supports additional functions common to most devices. Such as screen brightness, volume, search, ect. You can also select an OS for it to match. You can customize the JBUDS Keys with the dongle and JLAB Work app. There’s a small knob in the top right corner that is the Midia Dial. It is used as a volume control, Play / Pause when pushed down, FWD with a double click and BCK when held down. Other things to note is that you store the dongle in the bottom of the keyboard when not in use. However, it could unknowingly fall out if the keyboard is dropped. It sits at a slight angle and has 4 rubber feet. It’s comfortable to sit on bare legs. Compact size, but includes a numeric pad. However, the numeric pad isn’t exactly the same as the typical IBM PC/AT keyboard standard. That could be a problem for some users. The keys do not light up, but that’s not expected at this price point. Conclusion: I had typing in high school and college using IBM Selectric typewriters. Those were, and still are, in my opinion, the standard of how a keyboard should feel. Only the keyboard to the original IBM PC got close to getting it. As for this keyboard, it’s not bad at all and touch typing was a breeze. Especially at its price point. An easy recommendation.

    Needs Work

I was intrigued when I saw JLAB started making keyboards. I work remotely and travel sometimes, so I thought the JBUDS keyboard would be a good option for me while I travel. It is a decent little keyboard with a unique layout, but there are some things that don't make this a seamless transition from a full-sized keyboard. I do appreciate: -The size is excellent. At 14-3/4" long, it is about three inches shorter than my main wireless keyboard. This makes it a perfect fit in my laptop backpack. -I like the convenient feature of switching between three different devices. This allows me to go back and forth between my work and personal laptops, and even my phone or tablet if I so choose. The nice part is it works (mostly) with different operating systems. My personal laptop is a MacBook Pro, and my work laptop is an HP Elitebook. -The feel of the keyboard is suitable for this price point. There is sufficient movement in the keys. -The wheel in the top right corner of the keyboard is a nice feature to quickly change the volume, especially for those old-school people who like a turn knob over touch controls. There is work to be done: -As I type this review on the JBUDS Keyboard, I am reminded of some of the issues I have had with the keyboard. -JBUDS works with MacBooks, but for the first week of use, my 2018 MacBook Pro did not fully recognize the keyboard and often asked me to map it out. The OS prompted me to identify the key to the right of the left shift key and the key to the left of the right shift key. The Command, Option, and Control buttons are mixed up. I assume this was a software issue since those three keys are working correctly now as I type this review. -Connecting to 3 different devices is great, but this keyboard times out after several minutes and takes a bit to reconnect. I end up typing out several letters before the keyboard reconnects and have to back up and retype. -I mentioned the layout is unique. Having a unique keyboard layout is not really pleasant in the beginning. When you use a full keyboard 95% of the time, switching to a unique layout like this is challenging. I like having the number pad, but the location (above the directional pad) throws me off. The Num Lock, +, -, *, /, and second Enter button (which is tiny) are all stacked on the right edge of the keyboard. It does not feel natural and will take some getting used to. If you are willing to take time to get used to the layout, this is a good keyboard option. As far as I know, this is one of the first, if not the first, attempt at keyboards for JLAB.

First impressions - I removed the keyboard from the box and plugged it in to charge. After about an hour the keyboard was fully charged and ready for use. Prior to connecting to anything - I touch typed on it to test the overall layout. This is a compact keyboard that would be great for use on a media PC or for portable use. Overall Use - I connected this via Bluetooth to an android tablet and then to a windows desktop. Both devices paired immediately and I had no issue switching between them. The keys have multiple OS indicators for profile in use ( Mac OS / Windows / Android-Chrome ). After testing with my Samsung tablet in DEX mode - I tested connecting to an older MacBook (air) - that worked well and the mac specific function keys worked as labelled. Key response - Clear and sharp with few double strikes. The key travel distance is low - much like a laptop keyboard but it is accurate and clean. I can type well enough on this that I would use it for travel with an android tablet. Media Knob, Number Keys and Arrows - The media knob is a nice touch. You can instantly lower or raise the volume on current playback or pause a video. This worked fine with netflix, youtube and a regular media player. The number pad and arrow keys are usable but the layout is non-standard due to the keyboard size. Overall it took little adjustment to use the number pad and arrow keys. I will likely never adjust to the function key layout and have to look most of the time when using them. What I love- - Windows, MAC, Chrome and Android - It supports them all ! - NO batteries - built in rechargeable battery - Bluetooth connection switching AND a wireless dongle Could be improved- - NUM pad and arrow placement awkward placement and layout

Easily one of the best value keyboard for the money! Literally works perfect for Mac and PC. Easy to set up and a pretty solid connections. Only "issue" is it goes to sleep to save battery pretty quickly - even if the computer is still on - so you have to wait for a second to wake it and start typing again. Other than that - its great!
