2018 Honda Civic SI coupe, bad boy, and the trunk with the kicker key 500.1 amp bad boys knock in my two door

This is a fantastic, compact subwoofer enclosure, especially at the sale price. I installed this under the backseat of my Jeep Gladiator, and it does protrude about 3-4" from the seat, but that is not Kicker's fault, that is mine. Luckily, it has a really nice finish on it so it kind of looks at home there anyway. The sub is being powered by the 800w monoblock from Kicker, and it is far more power than this sub needs to sound good. The sub runs 500w-1000w, so the amp is probably right around the sweet spot without being too small, or too big. With the gain on the amp at about 20-30%, this sub is hitting harder than I expected it to. It isn't a competition setup by no stretch, it won't rattle storefront windows, it won't do hair tricks, but it will definitely wake up a weak, anemic sound system. I have noticed such an improvement in bass that at louder volumes it actually becomes a bit uncomfortable just because I was so used to the feeling that my factory sub was going to blow up. This sub just keeps on trucking right through the hardest drops I have thrown at it with no indication of bottoming out. One thing that I think could set this to a five star would be to include some kind of brackets or foot extensions to handle oddly shaped floors. If the surface you are putting it on is perfectly flat you have nothing to worry about, but the Gladiator has a very tiny hump in the floor that gets a bit close to the subs, as many cars have various shapes to the flooring. I came up with my own simple bracket system to give a bit more space and it works perfect.

Nice box, good sound. 4 stars because it did not fit vehicle as well as I thought. The website said it was compatible with a 2010 Chevy Silverado, but doesnt fit (speakers touch floor) when centered in back seat over the hump. It fits on one driverside only. If you dont care about taking up usable floor space in your crew cab, or like me and are "ok" with it being on one side. I tool the rubber feet, that are supposed to be on all four corners, and double stacked them on the low side by door. One side is on the hump amd the other on the rubber feet, doubled up. They sound great for 12", but thos will depend on ypur amp and the tuning of the amp. They thump if you get the peripheral equipment figured out.

This little enclosure pushes plenty of bass. No it won’t rattle windows, but you can definitely feel the lows.

Love this thing. Fits in my 2003 ford ranger and has enough bass to shake the cab.

Will not face down in a Silverado 1500 under back seat. Has to face up. Other than that it sounds good. Deep bass for what it is.

I honestly expected a little more. I have a small single 10" Kicker enclosure and the results are about the same. It does add some lower frequency response, but not as much as I expected. That being said, it is of excellent quality. It is everything it says it is. It is certainly lower price than one would expect.

Compared to my buddies Alpines this hits a little less hard. But for the price you cant beat it.
