    Killed 3 sets of 4 batteries within 60 days. I followed the instructions on what to do if it was wasting batteries, and it did not solve the problem. Fortunately my membership allowed me to return it after giving it a long enough chance before I figured out it was not worth it. The motor that closes the bolt was also much louder than my Utec. Too bad Best Buy doesn't carry that brand.

      Hello EDZ99,

      The batteries can drain quicker than expected due to your lock's installation, router type, and distance from the lock. Use only name-brand alkaline batteries and please do not use lithium and rechargeable batteries. Check that the door is properly aligned and the cable is routed and stored correctly. Resistance to both locking and unlocking because of door misalignment will reduce both motor and battery life. Make sure that the lock has a strong Wi-Fi connection with the router.   • Wifi password change is frustrating

    If you're someone like me who prefers to change the home wifi password often for security reasons, this is not the lock for me or you. Good grief... getting this lock back onto the wifi is ridiculous. You must go thru the setup process, bluetooth pairing and wifi setup every time.
