I have an LG 27" monitor that looks fantastic, and I absolutely love our 65" LG TV in the living room. I needed a new TV for the kitchen, and this seemed to check all the boxes for the best option and bonus points for being white. Sadly this 27" model ended up being a dud. WebOS interface, which is the same as my 65" TV, is super sluggish on this. Sometimes lagging by a second or 2 while trying to change menu settings. I ran an update thinking that might fix some issues, but it did nothing. The sound is absolutely atrocious. Like others have said it sounds like it's coming out of a tin can. Very tinny and hollow. It's an IPS panel which surprised me even more to see the color shifting a little when viewing it on an angle. Something I don't see even on cheaper TV's. The picture quality is very crisp. No complaints. Motion is fluid too. The brightness and colors are very dull. I brought 2 family members to get 2nd opinions and they said the screen looked flat. I played around with settings turning off the AI settings to see if maybe it was dimming the screen, but it was still was too dull. Once again, knowing the high praise this TV gets online, I compared it to the same channel playing on our 65" LG and the difference was huge. the larger TV's whites were bright and vibrant. This TV was not. It's much heavier than expected too. I think it's because the metal stand is built into the unit in case you want to rest it on a tabletop. I was planning on mounting it but due to the unusual shape the screen ends up not being parallel with the wall mount. Instead it's a little of an angle. I really wanted to like this TV, and I'm so surprised how disappointed the picture looks compared to even my 12 year old kitchen TV it is replacing. Unfortunately for this price I had to return it and go back to searching for something else.

The tv quality is good as well as the remote. and it is great for a kitchen countertop. but the WebOS system sucks. you have to log in everytime you need to update an app. and the log in for Webos is different than the ThinQ app and that is different than the LG website for registering. a complete cluster. Just plug in a roku or firestick. not worth trying to use the LG system. Save some money and buy a RokuTV

Hi, Paul. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the LG TV (27LQ600S-WU) model. We're glad to hear the picture quality and remote have made a great impression, especially for your kitchen setup. We understand the importance of webOS features and want to ensure you have a great experience with our products.

Not real happy with it. Every time I turn it on I have to use the TV remote to select an input instead of just using my fire stick remote. There is probably a way to correct that but haven’t found it yet

Overpriced, I wanted more, flesh tone quirks

    Posted .

As of the the date of this review, it’s overpriced at $210 when one can get a 55” LG 4K TV for $150 dollars more. It’s surprisingly heavy, has a curved back panel, and at $210 I would expect in addition to the 2 HDMI ports that I would also get a USB-C port instead of the old USB this tv stuck me with. I noticed that it has problems keeping constant natural-looking flesh tones regardless if it’s on HDR or SDR settings, YouTube videos vs regular tv broadcast is a good example. My Pixel 7 and 6 year old regular iPad don’t suffer from this defect. Perhaps it’s just the set I received. On the positive side, it has a bright picture.

Connectivity is AWFUL for streaming . WORST TV IN THE HOUSE. NEEDED A FIRESTICK to stream., and now its fine. The setting menu goes on forever . Its ridiculous .SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE MAKE A WHITE TV!!
