Motion handling is terrible on all settings
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is pretty good. The Motion is horrible. The picture stutters and is blurry when the camera pans. I have tried all the settings; Judder, Motion blur, Cinematic, Motion enhancement and then Ai enhancement. I just can't seem to make it not annoying without getting the soap opera effect. I am coming from a Plasma tv that was nearly perfect in every way eleven years ago. This might be the normal for all tv's with 120hz. Plasma is 600hz. I was just hoping i would like the top tv on the market.

Marginally better than other sets for TV viewing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Picture noticeable improvement from the 83" Samsung I had that was four years old. Biggest take away is the darker blacks. Since I've only watched 1080, it was probably not worth the $5k to upgrade from my existing set so I'd recommend pulling the plug on this model at about $2600 whenever that will be. The set is fairly difficult to calibrate to your liking because there are a lot of settings. Out of the box, faces are orange and color is oversaturated in the vivid mode. It was cartoonishly bright. I found the best picture was the personalized mode where you compare pictures and then after that's locked in, made further adjustments to brightness and clarity. Again, I wish there was something I could try out the 4K on but I don't really do gaming and not spending $20 on UHD discs of movies I've already seen. At the $5K current price it's not recommended due to a marginal improvement over other 1080 smart TVs.

Mostly a great product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the display and Best Buy was prompt and installed professionally. The only issue is the included flush mount. Studs are 16" OC. The mount is just over 16" so it will get to studs but unless your center point for mounting is exactly in the center of the mount, your display will be off center. I have sound panels, front and back height speakers already determining center so had to buy another mount and now the display is not flush mounted. For $5-6K, the mount should have a little extra width to allow for movement to center.

Remote and tv won’t turn on until adjusted battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture and TV are awesome but I have noticed it has a difficult time turning on from time to time. Not sure if it’s the controller or TV itself. I hit the power button on remote and doesn’t turn on then have to take the batteries out or readjust them and then it seems to be able to turn on. I also hit the power button underneath and it doesn’t turn the TV on in this situation too that’s why I think it could be the tv itself. But when it’s on and going it seems really cool the picture is crazy and the black parts can’t get any blacker hahaha. Dulls the kitchen lights directly on the screen so all that is great it’s just the turning the tv on problem. The sound is awesome too. LGs aren’t know for sound but this one can’t loud fast so that’s really good.
