    Frequent Connection Dropout

I really wanted to like this keyboard and mouse set. Over the years, I have been a fan of Logitech. I like the feel and performance of a mechanical keyboard, and was looking for a wireless option. This seemed to check all of the boxes and has a strong rating based on user reviews (4.6 at time of purchase). Sadly, I can't recommend it and I will be returning it. Like other users have posted, the keyboard loses connection and renders it inoperable. This happens no matter which USB port I plug into, and I have 10 of them (USB 2.0 and 3.0). I have noticed a pattern that it seems to happen if I leave the keyboard set to "On" and not in use for a lengthy period of time. It's like the keyboard goes to sleep and nothing will wake it up. Switching it to "Off" and then back on again doesn't work. Typing on it doesn't work. Removing the batteries and reinserting them doesn't work. The only thing I've found is to unplug the dongle from one port and move it to another. As soon as I do that, the keyboard "wakes up" and it begins working again. This is a terrible option and I am not going to get behind my computer to move the dongle from one port to another every time the keyboard decides to stop working - which, so far, has been daily (even multiple times a day). I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse from 2013 and it works every time I use it. Might recommend that over this. When the keyboard works, it works well. And strangely I've had no issues with the mouse (it also works great). But I cannot recommend this product and I will return it for something else. I rated 2 stars largely because I do really like the mouse. But consider other options for the keyboard unless you want constant frustration when it decides it doesn't want to work.

Hello PaulR0013. We're sorry to hear about your experience with the MK345 keyboard and mouse. It sounds like you have a faulty keyboard. In which case, I would recommend either exchanging it, if you're within Best Buy's return policy, or going through our warranty process at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/ We appreciate the feedback and will be taking this into consideration. Thank you. - Logitech

I had to purchase an extender to get the keyboard to work without interference. Before I had the extender it would disconnect intermittently, especially when I was on video calls. The mouse quit working after a day. I intentionally purchased a set so I would only have to use one port for both the keyboard and mouse so it has been disappointing to have to get a separate mouse.

I have used this keyboard and mouse combination for a few months. Initially, it was just a bit slow like an occasional 1 second delay. Over the last month, I have to remove the dungle and put it back in to have the keyboard and mouse recognized. There have also been times when the keyboard is just non-responsive to key strokes. I have found it very frustrating. I need a more dependable keyboard and mouse.

Very laggy and very soft feeling. I expected more from this brand and even at this price. The mouse is also not ergonomic at all for larger hands. This product is expensive for a budget item and too cheap for a “quality” item

It was ok while it worked and then 5 months later it started to malfunction. I had it connected thru the usb dongle from Logitech to a dell xps laptop. Ran tests and troubleshooting measures and nothing worked. I suspect it was a defective piece and returned it to Best Buy. As of today (a week after returning via UPS) I have not yet recd. the refund that was promised on the chat by the service personnel. Waiting with fingers crossed. Hopefully the refund will arrive before arthritis sets in.

      Hello,
I am sorry that you experienced issues over time with your Logitech MK345 mouse and keyboard combo. Thank you for sharing your experience, I apologize for any inconvenience. Please always feel welcome to visit the Logitech support website for product guides, supporting software and further support. My suggestions if you still had this combo would be to download the “SetPoint” software for customization and updates. “Connection Utility” is an available download, which would allow you to reestablish the connection between USB Nano receiver and keyboard/mouse. Please visit the Logitech support website for further assistance.

Hey Addie, sorry to hear you had some issues. Since the issue has persisted across multiple devices, I would think the computer or USB port might have an issue. I would recommend trying a different USB port on your computer if possible. -Weston from Logitech

the wheel on the mouse has hard edges and a textured "grip" but what it does instead is irritate my finger. it's not like i have a sweaty finger that need improved grip... my old logitech keyboard and mouse was better but it was dying after many years of good service

Unfortunately. at least once a day, the mouse "freezes" and will not move the cursor. If I tap it on the pad, it might work temporarily but then freezes again. Another tap and it might work fine the rest of the day.

      Hi Picture,
I am sorry that you had this inconvenience. You are right, the Best Buy website shows pictures of the product with the unify wireless adapter, which is wrong. The MK435 has a wireless adapter that is not Unify technology, as shown in the manufacturer's pictures. Logitech appreciates your input and sincerely apologies for the inconvenience.

Hello, So sorry to hear about the malfunctions that you're experiencing with the keyboard for the MK345. Without knowing the specifics of the malfunction, here are some troubleshooting tips. Check that the receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on your computer. If the receiver is plugged into a USB hub, try plugging it directly into your computer. Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port closer to your keyboard and mouse. Remove any metallic objects between the receiver and your keyboard and mouse. If none of these help to resolve the issue, the MK345 does come with a 1-year limited hardware warranty. Here's a link to File A Claim:  https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024913354-Warranty-Wireless-Combo-MK345. Hope that this helps to resolve the malfunction or helps to resolve your problem. Thank you for being a Logitech customer. - Richard from Logitech

Hello Jspenc, we are so sorry to hear about your issues with the MK345. For best results, it's recommended to be within 10m from your connection. Lots of electronics might be interfering with the bluetooth connection as well. For a faster and more reliable connection, the nano receiver will eliminate any connectivity issue you are having. Thanks for being part of the Logitech family, have a great day.
