    I bought this Niu KQi3 Pro Scooter because of all the Rave reviews… I didnt see a single unfavorable You Tube video on this… I will say it does have great build quality as everyone says and the ride is stable… BUT….. I bought the Segway Ninebot es4 for my wife and was expecting this to be much better as reviews suggest… To my surprise, I dont notice a huge difference… This feels stable but I feel perfectly stable on the Ninebot…. I thought this would be quicker uphill with 20% rating and I dont have any complaint, but the Ninebot seems to do the same with a 15% rating… The true real life range seems about the same between these scooters but the KQi3 Pro is much heavier, taller folded up, and bulkier,,. You even need the kick stand out to store it folded up… I wouldnt mind all that bulk if there was performance differences in above noted areas… One huge disappointment was the app. It is a lowsy app… You can record rides and I was happy to see the Grade metric, but it doesnt work, stays at 0% uphill… When you record rides you see the last ride but when you click on it for more details there is a blank page… Clearly much is to be desired in the app. Segways app could be better too but doesnt have these flaws…. Overall I enjoyed this scooter but not any better than the much lighter and slimmer Ninebot… Granted that one has horrible suspension so I an getting the upgraded e45 which should have a more cushy ride and I already returned the Niu.

    Bought this and its portable, fast and Convenient. App kinda sucks tho and the ride sometimes doesn’t turn on after charging but only for a tiny bit

    It worked fine, but every few days the battery doesn’t work, when you try to charge. The app is stupid, doesn’t update well. I can’t even connect the app again with the scooter. Customer service none existent. Auto- email that doesn’t address my concern and tell me to call a toll free number (which answered in Chinese and one second later the phone is dropped). It’s only 2 months old!!!

    Non working scooter on Christmas morning

    What a bummer to give to my son on Christmas morning! My son opened his gift Christmas morning and was so excited to see what he had gotten. We opened the box and followed the installation guide - got to step 03 "confirm that the device will power on and off after assembly" nothing happened when I pressed the button. My stomach dropped but tried to stay positive for my son and went ahead and attached the four screws for the handlebar assembly and went ahead and charged it until the light turned green on the charger. Tried to turn it on and in fact got a sore thumb from trying to press so hard on the darn button. Still no luck so I unscrewed the 4 screws and unplugged the wire and plugged it back in and the screen turned on! I was able to download the app (yikes 2.7 out of 5 stars, should have checked this before buying!) had no problems connecting the app to the scooter and even downloading the latest firmware - thought I was in luck. decided to take it once around the block to make sure everything was ok, it was great and everything I hoped it would be. when I got back to the house I wanted to turn the light on which you do with 2 presses of the button - didn't work, button wasn't working at all. Unscrewed the 4 screws unplugged wire and plugged in again and scooter hasn't turned on since, screen is blank. The weird thing is phone was still connected to the scooter through he app and I was able to lock and unlock scooter and it let out a beep but no sign of life on the screen. Day after Christmas tried calling niu for help at 1-888-241-0666, it just rang and got sick of waiting and don't want to deal with he headache of working with them over the phone so going to return it Best Buy. Thank goodness I bought through them so I have a generous return window (until Jan 14th) to return Christmas purchases. Anyways, extremely disappointed and sad that I didn't open it and assemble before Christmas so my son wouldn't have been disappointed, luckily I have a sweet boy and he still enjoyed his Christmas and knows it's not about the things we get. NIU brand will be one of those things we will never get again.
