The one I found was NOT an Otter Box and it wasn't long before it cracked. I always get Otter Box, and I must have thought the one I bought was similar enough. Later, I found the Otter Box Defender Series in a clear shell with the MagSafe magnet and it is definately better built. It even accepts the original Defender Series back with belt clip attachment, even though I don't use it. And, there is a lip around the camera lenses that help keep scratches from appearing on the lens. This one carries the Otter Box pricing (high), but I still recommend it highly.

Always wanted to try otterbox and now I think I’m sticking with this brand. Will buy another color next time :)

The problem though it felt very heavy and the edges are very sharp. I’ve always had defenders on my phone but never this particular version. This felt less like a soft rubber and more like a hard spare tire. Very hard to get on and pretty expensive for a case.

Posted .Great to know the Defender Series Pro XT has your vote of confidence in terms of protection, though we were sorry to hear it hasn't been the most comfortable of experiences using the thing. If you're used to our standard Defender Series, it could be that it's just going to take a few to get used to the new vibe; but "sharp" isn't how we'd have expected to hear of those edges, and we'd be glad to help with a brand-new warranty replacement to see if that smooths things out.

This is actually not hard to put on your iPhone. The “difficult part” is justifying the price because it doesn’t feel like 50$ worth. Other than that the case does a good job at protecting the phone but the plastic on the back feels cheap. MagSafe magnet is decent. All in all, this case gets a solid 3 stars nothing more nothing less.

Don’t know why you need a minimum of 50 characters to give her a review. Sounds crazy to me just saying the price is the only problem should lower the price.

Was robbed and the phone was dropped. It fell a max of 5 feet. Case cracked and phone was destroyed! At least otter box sent me another but still had to pay for shipping
