    Less than a year & the unit malfunctioned. The Best Buy technician told me it needed to be replaced & gave me the option to warranty it with Pioneer directly - returning it to Best Buy for the warranty was not an option. So he could leave the defective unit installed or uninstall it & leave a gaping hole in my dash while I fight Pioneer to warranty their garbage product. I felt forced into purchasing a new unit, which I did. I have been running in circles with Pioneer for 2 months, unable to make contact with any human being to warranty the product that conveniently will fall out of warranty in 12 days. I do not recommend Pioneer & I do not recommend Best Buy for your car audio purchases/installations.

    Do Not Buy There is a Problem With These Units

    I brought 1 of these units back in October 2021. I liked it so much I brought 2 more to install in my other vehicles. 2 of the units stopped working after about 5 months. They freeze up on a white screen and then have to be sent in for repair to Pioneer. 1 of the units has been back twice already. $30 shipping to California and without a radio for 3 weeks. There is clearly a problem with this model. If you do a little research online you'll find others with the exact same problem. I would like Pioneer to offer me a full refund on all 3 units. They have refused.

    Was a decent radio for android audio features minus the phone. Callers were unable to hear me clearly through the microphone, therefore I always had to transfer calls to my phone. Screen died after 22 months of use. Unacceptable. Typical white screen. Pioneer support never responded. Upgraded to a new Pioneer DMH-2660NEX unit with an extended 4 year warranty, for ease of installation. Microphone works and callers can hear me clearly.

    Boy! Let me tell you about how much I enjoy spending $350+ on a product that dies less than 2 years in! FOUR MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY. Started doing random reboots about a month ago. I thought nothing of it at the time since it would boot back up and everything worked as it should. I thought it a fluke or something. Then today, I got the white screen of death that everyone else seems to get after about a year or so of ownership. Sometimes the unit boots up and play music, then freezes when you try to adjust the volume or use the touchscreen. Sometimes it just freezes and sits at the NEX logo. Sometimes it doesn't even turn on. Reset button does nothing to help. What a literal piece of garbage. Now I have to either buy a new head unit or wait for Pioneer to send me a replacement for 2 MONTHS. This is the last time I'll buy anything Pioneer related. Get stuffed, Pioneer.

    Don't Buy; It's Garbage!!

    Garbage. Don't bother. This radio barely works. I paid over $500 to have this garbage installed in my car. No matter how many times I scan to get radio stations, I can't get a couple of my favorite FM stations. Static is under all of my favorite stations that I like to listen to. If I was listening to AM radio, I might understand static under these stations but FM?! I'm now on the chat feature trying to get a live person so I can find out how to return and have this piece of garbage removed from my car. Your customer service is also awful because I've been waiting for an agent for 20 minutes

    After installation, I would be driving down the street using CarPlay and the unit would crash and restart over and over. I spent a lot of time with customer service and they couldn’t fix it so I returned it for a refund.

    Sadly Disappointed

    Disappointed to say the least. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Now 18 mos. later, the navigation stopped working. I went back to my local Best Buy and they no longer have installers to assist with this issue. I was given the choice of driving 2 hrs and 45 mins away in one direction, or drive more than hour away in another direction for assistance. DO NOT bother. It's not worth the hassle.

      Unfortunately we cannot help with the removal of the unit. Since you do not have a Best Buy near you, you might try local stereo shops.
