    Got this unit after my factory head unit began to fail. Wanted something with CarPlay that wasn't going to destroy my wallet. Install was fairly straight forward. Touch screen was very responsive and worked well at first. Wired CarPlay and Android Auto only (not the end of the world), this head unit was showing promise.....until recently. Bluetooth connectivity is fine. Microphone that comes with this stereo isn't worth the time to install. Unfortunately, this unit only worked properly for a little over a year. The past 6 months of owning it have been hit or miss whether or not I'm going to get the white screen of death or a functional stereo. The volume buttons are touch screen, non haptic style. So it's easy to miss the buttons sometimes for volume adjust. The radio presets are finicky and easy to accidentally reset to factory. Most recently, the radio will briefly work as soon as I turn my car on, but simple tasks like adjusting the volume too quickly causes the screen/entire radio to die. I paid $375 for this head unit and now I'm seeing the quality that this amount of money buys. The only reason I'm rating this as fair is because it lasted for a year before dying.

    Salesman did not know much about it, bought it because it carplay. Unfortunately, I have sxm radio and was told it would be the same and it was not. Have to have carplay in order to use when before I could get it through antenna. Install was fine however they duped and left all my stuff on the floor they had to move. Disappointing for the$$

      I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-1770NEX.
      This model cannot work with the factory SiriusXM tuner. You would need to get the SXV300 tuner from SiriusXM. Or, as you did, use their application through Apple CarPlay. PUSATechAnswers

    Garbage. Don't bother. This radio barely works. I paid over $500 to have this garbage installed in my car. No matter how many times I scan to get radio stations, I can't get a couple of my favorite FM stations. Static is under all of my favorite stations that I like to listen to. If I was listening to AM radio, I might understand static under these stations but FM?! I'm now on the chat feature trying to get a live person so I can find out how to return and have this piece of garbage removed from my car. Your customer service is also awful because I've been waiting for an agent for 20 minutes

    I like this stereo. The back up camera is good size, and I can see really well. It has different settings to help you see better, plus it has color. Radio works ok. It might be my factory antenna that makes it fuzzy some days. I don't listen to regular stations much. It does jam out for sure. Still learning all the functions.

    Worked as it shoud and just after the year warranty it started doing all kinds of stupid stuff. Will lock on a screen amd freeze. Sometimes just gives a white screen with thin vertical color lines. When this happens at night the radio will blind you. It actually works very lttle now. So frustrating. Will never buy a pioneer again. Used to be my favorite. Now just junk. I see other people having same issue after several months

    It was a decent radio. Radio worked for about a year and 3 months. And then stopped working. Didn’t have very good settings for tuning and what not and felt very out dated

    Defective radio waiting to see what the tech says. Very disappointed pioneer was once a good stereo I’m not for sure now

    I bought this radio for my dads older car and he loved it but the screen went black and the radio produces no sound after just over a year with it. The best buy in East Lansing won’t fix it and his only option is to have the old radio reinstalled. DO NOT BUY THIS RADIO.

    The radio worked great for 2 months. Now it works when it feels like it. More often then not I get a white screen and a radio that is unresponsive. I have tried the reset button on the front. I’ve tried a factory reset. I have tried unplugging it directly. Nothing changes. Super disappointed in this pioneer head unit.
