INSTALL HELP
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cam is great!!! this one is made for out buildings and small apartment’s Word to the wise if you look at the bad reviews, dont believe them. do not over torque mounting screws for door bell, it will cause case to break its weather seal, do not install pig tails, direct wire it at door bell and indoor hard wire chime, use jumper that goes to indoor hard wire chime, do not bridge hard wire indoor chime so that it still works, it will cause wireless chime and cam not to work right. will not work on wifi6 or wifi6e router or mesh, unless systems have guest wireless accounts that u can set too wpa-wpa2 and guest network’s need to be able to see whole network. last after program make sure to set static route for door beel and chime in case of power outage.

It does the job...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device works well. But there's no reason why this could not have been designed to allow us with existing doorbell chime. There are other smart doorbells on the market that does work with existing chimes. I only got this to work with the rest of my ring alarm system. For that purpose great. Stand alone, i would probably consider other options.

Posted .Hi Kcohen. I'm glad to hear your Video Doorbell Wired is working well, and I'd be happy to offer some clarification. While the Video Doorbell Wired cannot ring your internal chime kit, you can receive audible notifications in your home via the Ring Chime or a compatible Alexa-enabled device. To learn more about which Alexa devices work with Ring, check out this Help Center article: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031246412-Ring-Supported-Alexa-enabled-Devices. Wired door bell
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No one tells you it won’t be compatible with your old doorbell and you’ll probably need an electrician as soon as the power blank ones during a storm. It didn’t work anymore. It would not link up again with Wi-Fi where everything else in my house did return the item.

Posted .Hi VeronicaP.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We understand the importance of having all relevant product information prior to purchasing. The features and technology provided by the Ring Video Doorbell Wired are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you have some concerns with the features of the Ring Wired Doorbell. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired requires an existing doorbell as a power supply but does not sound your existing chime. To hear audio alerts in your home, pair it with a Ring Chime or compatible Alexa device.
If your device is not reconnecting to wifi after a power outage, it may need to be rebooted. For wired Ring devices, you can turn off the power at the circuit breaker, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. The device will reboot automatically when power is restored.

Only use if your house was built sooner than 1990
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does not work with homes that are built before 1990, unless someone has rewired the home. Just having two wires come out, does not constitute the ability to hook this device up.

Posted .Hi DavidR. I know it can be confusing to install a new device, but I'd be happy to point you in the right direction. The Video Doorbell Wired is compatible with doorbell systems supplying 10-24 volts AC, at 50 or 60 Hz, 20-40 VA max. It's important to note that the Doorbell Wired will not ring your internal chime kit. The provided Ring Chime can be connected to your Video Doorbell Wired in the Ring app so you can hear audible alerts in your home. If you have any other questions, try searching the Ring Community https://community.ring.com/ to find answers from other neighbors. Best, Ashley from Ring.

Ring-Wi-Fi Smart Video Doorbell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Found out that the Ring-WI-Fi Video Doorbell was NOT compatable to the wiring in my house. I should of had a salesman who is knowledgeable on the Ring Doorbells. My salesman admitted that he was NOT very knowledgeable and I am not a tech person!

Posted .Hi dcoop. Having all of the relevant information available to you before purchasing a smart home device is definitely important. Several Ring Doorbells are battery powered and do not require any in-home wiring, which may work better than the Video Doorbell Wired. You can find a product comparison of all the Video Doorbell models here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004668746-Ring-Video-Doorbells-Product-Comparison. I hope this helps.
