I upgraded to the 4K/HDR stick from older HD model. Noticeably better 4K picture on my 75" Samsung 4K TV. Great easy to use remote RF control. Ordered extension to prevent overheating.

Had to replace the old streaming stick we had because it overheated. this one hasn't overheated once.

Bought this to replace a previous ROKU of the same model. After a couple of years, that one had died out, overheated I think. I have this now for a while, will wait and see if overheating and dying out is a common problem after a couple of years. The device is convenient and works well, I like the app (listening to headphones through a device is nice touch) and like other things about ROKU. If this one ever fails, I will still stick with ROKU, but I might try one of their other models. Easy to add channels as subscriptions to services are purchased as well as removing them if subscriptions have ended. Great for bringing all your subscriptions to one device and having them on your TV. Lots of free options as well!

Excellent way to access your online streaming platforms. Once in a while it would say that the device is overheating but hasn't caused any problems. Easy to setup and portable if you want to take it with you when you travel.

I bought this to bring my TV back to life and I am very satisfied. My smart TV was beginning to slow down in its ability to stream content. I got the streaming stick to avoid buying a new tv. As long as I use an extension cord to keep the streaming stick away from the back of the tv, it never overheats...it was apt to do so before I got the extension. I love that the Roku remote turns tv off and on. Overall, I absolutely love it.

Easy to set up and works great. Our older version used to overheat but this one never does.

Bought this to replace an older model. Older model was working just fine until I got an "over heating" message while watching tv one night. Didn't want to fry my tv so I bought another Roku. Works just like the older model except it is not overheating. Really like the Roku devices and will probably keep buying them. Great streaming device for the money. Lucky it was on sale for $10 off. Saved some money.

Works as it should, the only things I don't like after experiencing this with a few of these is that they may overheat (sometimes) and you'll get a warning on the screen about it. Another thing I don't like is that (sometimes) they need to be reset to factory settings when they no longer respond. But it's my go-to for streaming on the television.

Decide to upgrade bc previous Roku device kept overheating. This one works perfect!!

The thing I like best about this Roku Streaming is that it turns off after being idle for 15 minutes or so. That prevents overheating.

This works so well. The older style RoKU was over heating and this style is less likely to overheat.

Though we have yet to find a better streaming device, Roku is mediocre. Every time we get a new one, its lifespan is just a bit shorter than the last. Our first one lasted 3.5 years, second lasted just more than 2, then 2, then 1, and the identical one just previous to this 8 months. Not much faith this one will last more than 8months… but so far, it works well. No overheating yet in week 1 of using it.

Has a problem with over heating and will stop playing. I had to get an extender so the heat from my tv won’t shut it down. Outside of that it works great.

Love my Roku but this new remote is very poorly designed. The mute button on the side is really obnoctious and is constantly being hit. The Roku has overheating issues and i wish i had just kept my old one. The only reason i "updated" was to have power and volume bottons on the remote so i didnt need to keep using 2 remotes

The new sticks overheat quickly and doesn’t last long. Make sure you get the insurance. My first roku stick lasted 5 years. After this, I will not purchase again.

Terrible experience with this product. Overheats and caused TV failure.

I bought 2 of these sticks back in March. One of the sticks is now having an overheating issue after about an hour of use. I have used there extender cable and changed locations without help. There support is horrible. Chat or email and they tell you the same thing over and over again. Unplug retry etc. You get what you pay for on this device. I would recommend staying away from it as many others have the same issue.
