Amazing quality! You can get bigger TVs for the same amount, but you will be sacrificing quality and you'll be buying a competitor's product that will have problems in a few years. The clarity with motion is amazing, there is very little reflection from light sources, and the angle viewing is spectacular. This TV replaced my 12 year old 720p Samsung, also purchased from BB on Cyber Monday. After almost 3 months, I'm very satisfied. Thanks Best Buy!

This is a replacement for an older 55" Samsung. We are pleased with the thinner depth (It really hugs the walll). The black trim is thinner making it less intrusive.

It's just Ok. There is really nothing spectacular about this TV that stands out. I replaced my 2017 Samsung UHD 55" (that died) and it actually looked better .. if not was better in certain instances. My mother's Series 7 from 2020 is much better and clearer in my opinion. The "Wow factor" is not here. I honestly expected to be blown away due to some of the reviews and the "upscaling" features but only to find that this is really just a mid range QLED that is worth maybe $800 on sale at best! That is the God's honest truth.. I overpaid for this TV by at least $400... my loss. If I could do it over I would have just bought the Samsung OLED version or just saved some money and bought a much lower tier QLED for like $600-700. I stayed away from the LG OLED's for the " burn-in" issues so I really thought by going this route with the Samsung MINI QLED to be the right choice - it wasn't. Skip this overpriced QLED and go right with either a Sony or Samsung OLED. The difference is night and day. **And .. the sound quality is awful as you WILL need a sound bar just to hear normal conversations under explosions and other background noises.. primarily while streaming.

As far as people go my 4k led was so much better. Overal picture without people is a more colorful picture. If i had it to do over - i think i would stay with 4k led.as by the photo - cant get people color set right. Spent hours trying.

      JosephG,

We appreciate your thoughts on the picture quality of Samsung’s QN90D TV. If the image you’re seeing isn’t to your liking, there are several picture settings you may want to adjust.

Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
      1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
      2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
      3. Eco: Provided to save energy
      4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
      5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

For further assistance with settings adjustments, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

Samsung missed the mark on this one. I ended up returning it. The screen colors at times looked unrealistic, sometimes shadowing showed up blue. The sound at times had a rumble to it almost like low bass when it should have had no bass at the time example watching the news.

Amazing TV. Shipping was easy. Just wait for the delivery and with the updates, even that was pretty simple to plan the day around. Unboxing it would be super easy for two people and only mildly challenging for 1 person. It’s not very heavy, just large and since the bezels are so tiny, not a lot of places to grab. The box and instructions has a step by step process to follow for setup depending on the size of the tv. I had a Samsung TV I got back in 2013 or so and it was still going strong, so I have high hopes on this one. I love the new remotes. They make a lot of sense and don’t have all of the buttons that I never use. It was the main reason I went with Samsung over the equivalent LG. Plus it’s solar powered, so when I turn off the TV I put the remote upside down where it will get sunlight and I’m done. The display is amazing. Since it’s led, the display turns on and off very quickly. Quicker than OLED. And it’s brighter than OLED as well. Better for the rooms with a lot of light. If you’re going from a standard high def TV to 4k 120 hz there will be an adjusting period where you may feel dizzy or disorientated, but it goes away. The software on the tv is great. Handles everything I need it to and isn’t very finicky. The smart app makes things easier and if you set up another TV can just import all your settings over. I do wish there was an easy way to toggle the 120 hz upscale on and off easy. Some older media gets a little blurry when there is a lot of action.

Product is great and would recommend. Things to note is that product is a bit heavier than most LED tv’s so mounting on wall might require 2 people to mount. Picture quality is great however I have noticed that the tv will dim and go bright spontaneously from time to time I am not sure if that is the AI calibrating tones or brightness. Lastly, I would say that tv is a bit over priced by $250-$400. Aside from that I would recommend.

I was originally thinking I wanted an OLED TV, but I did my research and discovered that for the setting we have a QLED is more appropriate. The screen is spectacular in any lighting. I found this model with a pretty significant discount - probably wouldn't have considered it at the original price. That said, what a fantastic buy! We are blown away by the stunning picture quality. Setup was easy, pretty straightforward. Once you get familiar with the tiny remote (I'd take off half a star for the remote design), the settings are easy to navigate. It works with Alexa. I can easily add and delete apps, customize screens and lists. Casting from our Galaxy phones is easy - you can cast from the TV to the phone, too, but I don’t see much use for that. I can also use my phone as a remote - I think I might prefer that to the actual remote. The sound quality is pretty good, but I'll probably add a Samsung soundbar at some point. My 10+ year-old Philips sound bar doesn’t seem to be compatible. Bottom line, this is a great TV with a variety of features. The discount made it an easy decision.

Our LG OLED had over 18,000 hours on it and when something yellow was on the screen, there was a pronounced green spot where it should have been yellow. So, to BestBuy we go! I’d looked at the Samsung OLED with the matte screen and loved it. We were then told that there’s a large box containing CPU and GPU that you also have to put somewhere. Well, we don’t have the room for this box where the TV is mounted. I’m happy the salesperson pointed that out. So, we were waffling between the OLED and this TV, and this TV has all the electronics built into it. I have no regrets. This TV’s NIT rating was even higher than the current Samsung OLED and it’s easily 30-40% higher than our old LG because it’s BRIGHT! I love that it has HDMI ARC because all our equipment is stored in the basement with an HDMI running through Smurf tube to the back of the TV. ARC allows the TV and the Receiver to talk back and forth which makes using the native TV apps, much easier. We haven’t had to use our AppleTV since buying this. The UI isn’t the cleanest and the processor is a little on the slow side, but it works. If you’re looking for a bright TV with a great picture quality, and don’t sit off center from the screen too much, then this may be the TV for you. Hopefully, it lasts longer than our prior LG OLED.

Awesome TV! Brilliant and so very clear. I use it on my x-box and found the gaming experience to be fast and responsive due to the fast refresh rate. PVZ never looked so great :)) Sound is great though bass limited.

The new Neo QLED replaced an older QLED 55” Samsung we had. There is no comparison. The Neo is superior to the older version. The color is bright and natural. The one negative is with the Samsung sound bar at times there is an echo.

We have a QN90B in one room and absolutely love that tv. We needed something for my office/game room so naturally, I looked at the QN90 series. The C did not get great reviews so I waited for the QN90D and I am glad I did. This television is fantastic for video games and sports. Picture is clear. Motion rate is excellent!

I researched for weeks on a new tv and decided on QN90D 55”. It is located in a bright living room in an older home and the picture is great. The 55” tv is the sweet spot because it has better speakers, wider viewing angle and a good anti reflective screen. The only problem we had was the sound fading in and out using a Roku Ultra streamer. Setting the sound setting on the Roku from Auto to Stereo fixed the problem and has been working great. I would recommend this tv.

Turned out to be the perfect buy for me. I replaced a smaller Samsung TV from 2012(?) that worked for us for years but the sound had to be supplemented and we had to dim lights and close curtains to watch sometimes. This new TV is very bright and the sound is where I don't necessarily need to supplement with my Bose system. Everything, including the remote, worked right out of the box with no programming required.

Great TV, 4K and with all capabilities of a smart TV, fast downloading and streaming. I was debating between an OLED or this QLED, reviews said that was going to be too bright for a bedroom, no, is perfect, sharp, and no glare from any light against the screen.
