Do not buy. Please see my 77” review too.

I had to return the first 65” because of display issues. The software is terrible. If you look up this TV, exact model in 77” my full review is there. The picture quality really is beautiful but it’s not so good that the software and non-user friendly interface is a deal breaker, trust me. The software is full of bugs. If you program — it’s like they put no error handling in the code and the screen goes black and the entire system crashes if input signal (like game mode or a PC using HDMI) connects. For this price and tier you can do better as far as interface, enjoyment and usability is concerned. Samsung likely won’t update firmware. This is a joke.

Over done saturated colors

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately I got a bad panel, it had black dark spots the would scroll across the screen when hot. I ended up returning it for a Sony. When it didn't have the spots I wasn't super happy with it. In the store with all the bright lights it looked amazing. Once it's home and you start watching it for a few days you realize that amazing picture is mostly due to the highly oversaturated reds they use. In the house it gets kinda old after hours of watching the TV. I tried to tune it out to look more natural but I'm not that good at adjusting the rbg like it should be and was never able to get it to look natural. Another thing I wasn't sure happy about was that the frame is flimsy and if you adjust it horizontally or vertically it feels like it's going to break. That's not what I want in a tv. I have it on an adjustable frame so that I can move the TV when I'm in the kitchen. Regardless, I had to return it and I am super happy with the Bravia 8.

Poor Geek Squad Installation

It is beautiful and has a great picture. However, the Geek Squad installation did not properly check that the TV and sound system worked properly. The sound and picture are not in sync. When I watch a golf tournament for example, the golfer has completed his swing on the TV before the sound is heard on the soundbar. Also, there is no sound coming from the subwoofer except for a hiss. I've filled out two surveys trying to get my system fixed to no avail.

Samsung 65-Inch TV did not work out of the box

After mounting on the wall and powering it on the screen was blank but the voice set-up prompt was active but the remote could not access anything except power on off. Brought back to the store and the manager would not take the unit back for an exchange or refund saying the TV was dropped. I emphasized that I did not drop the TV and with my IT consulting business installing over 40 TV's I never had a problem like this. I took the TV home and contacted Samsung customer support, who ere absolutely great. After troubleshooting the TV, the Samsung techs determined it was a firmware issue that was not cause by the TV being dropped or mishandled. and that I should return it back to Best Buy. I then brought the TV to another Best Buy store, explained the situation with the Customer Service Desk associate and got a refund for the TV.

No picture after six weeks

Two days ago the screen stopped working and now won't turn on. Went through all the troubleshooting steps and had to make appointment with Samsung for repair. Not sure if it can be repaired or will be replaced yet. A lot of great reviews everywhere for this TV, but I am very disappointed this could happen so soon after purchasing.

Lemon tv

The first installation team did their job, but needed to be followed by a second installation team as issues were found, and equipment did not work. Now, not even a month since we purchased the item, let alone had it delivered, HDMI ports are going bad. Best Buy said we needed to deal with Samsung because the TV was 2024. But wait! We only purchased it in June 20 25! And, we purchased a Best Buy warranty. Regardless, we are dealing with Samsung. Would love to change out the TV, but apparently it’s a political bureaucratic process that the technicians, customer service, Samsung, Best Buy, and anyone else is unwilling to tread those waters.

Color and contrast

No matter how we adjust it, after you watch it a while it just keeps getting darker and darker. We’ve always had Sony Bravia tvs. This time my husband wanted a Samsung because he loves his phone. They look good in the store but…we bought one exchanged it after 4 days and still not happy after 4 months. Regarding color, facial saturation is different on every channel.

We appreciate you sharing details of the issue you’ve experienced on your S90D TV. Please try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions, as these will automatically adjust your picture and may cause your screen to appear brighter or darker than preferred.
Check to see if Contrast Enhancer has been enabled. This setting automatically adjusts your TV's brightness so the difference between bright and dark areas is not excessive. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer
If Contrast Enhancer hasn’t been enabled, please see if Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, or Motion Lighting have been enabled and disable them.
- Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > turn off Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting
Please also be sure your TV’s firmware is up to date with the latest version. You can check this by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Not the Best Choice

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your S90D TV. To ensure you’ve got the latest image quality updates, please confirm that your TV is up to date with the latest firmware version. You can check by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > left direction button > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments
2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments
3. Eco: Provided to save energy
4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room
5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also fine-tune your picture with expert settings such as brightness, contrast, sharpness and more (All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings).

Quality and upscaling downer

The processing and upscaling are lack luster even after calibrating. Two days in the tv also started to turn off randomly which was a big disappointment. I returned it a bought a Bravia 8 which might not be as bright but it’s plenty bright for my house without burning my eye sockets like the s90d.

Great TV - Terrible Adherence to Policy

That said, Best Buy has a policy that within 2 months of purchasing from them, if they sell an item for a lower price, you can get the difference from them. I did not get this because I was told I had already bought the TV on sale. The updated price was $100 less than I purchased. Extremely disappointed!!
