it was great while it lasted I guess...

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially purchased the SanDisk thumb drive to record HDR videos on my iPhone 16 pro. it worked great initially but over some time the USB-C stick wore out and I didn't even use it for long. I would say I got about 20 uses out of it. the only way I can access my stored files at this point is by using a dongle that allows me to hook up the USB-A side. it's a little bit disappointing because I didn't have it for long and I thought $256 gigs would be all I needed. the product was a little bit sturdier I'd be happy but I can't say I am currently the fact that it doesn't work.

How Does This Work???

Online instructions were not well presented. Trying to get it to recognize my phone caused it to heat up and drain the phone battery. Still haven't been to the Geek Squad for thir help. I'm sure they can figure it out for me.

USELESS GEEK SQUAD TECH SERVICES FOR BB PRODUCTS

What good is this is you can't get help when you need it! Why can't you talk the customer thru some processes over phone? Geek Squad won't help even when you bring it into the store!!! Does this thing work? I'm sure not since nothing pops up when you plug it into the computer!!! Geek Squad you suck and that's real talk!!! Won't do this again.

Great capacity for the size, but buggy

But I discovered two problems: heat build-up seemed to cause file transfers to slow to a craw after about 15 minutes of use, and my fairly new MacBook and iPad often can’t detect the device when I plug it in.
