Works great once paired. (Pairing was difficult.)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My setup is just 1 lightbulb and a Nest Hub. Previously, I had a Wiz A19 color bulb that had communication problems with my Nest Hub. Like every day. Eventually I decided to try this Sengled which came free with the Nest Hub. It stays connected and the Nest Hub has no problem communicating with it. However, it was an absolute pain to set up. Should’ve been simple, but my first mistake was apparently I needed to set my iPad to my 2.4 wifi network in order to pair to the 2.4 wifi Sengled bulb. And even then it took about 5 tries with the Google Home app before I successfully got the bulb paired. I didn’t do anything different after switching to 2.4 wifi band. Just kept trying until it finally successfully paired. Why not pair the first time? I dunno. [One last note. Don’t know if there is an app for Sengled or not. But if not then this bulb can’t do any of the advanced color modes that the Wiz bulb was able to do, such as “Party Mode”, etc. Not a big deal to me. But maybe it is to some?]

Bit of a Bummer
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So Sengled has been around for a minute, and new bulbs with Matter are made to support any home automation system(Alexa, Google, Homekit). I use Apple Homekit exclusively for my home and apartment and i have the latest models of Apple TV’s and Homepod minis that act as a bridge for all of my smart accessories. I was hopeful that these Matter bulbs were going to work as effectively as my LIFX bulbs, so i ordered 8, but that was not the case. Turns out you still need a specific bridge made by Sengled to make it homekit compatible(another $25-$40). I dont have an issue with WiFi speeds or capacity but i dont want to HAVE to add another bridge when it should be compatible with existing bridges. When i scanned the QR code for the bulb to add it to homekit, it gets added smoothly but then will register as “No Response”. Definitely a bummer and now a reason why i wont look at Sengled products in the future. As a regular light bulb, it has decent brightness but i cant speak to the multicolor features. The app is also not as user-friendly like the LIFX app. Im sure theyre decent but definitley worth mentioning the connectivity requirements.

Too much of a hassle
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They were pretty bright which was nice but difficult to connect. Even after going over the steps it never worked like it should. Maybe have been a combination of user error and device but it wasnt as seemless as I hoped.

Sengald bulbs
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They work great when they work. Half the time they drop communication with alexa. Power down then turn back on usually works. Have 6 bulbs, tell them tonturn on, maybe 4 will most of the time. Other than communication, they workngreat.

Need a hub
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These require a home connected hub device to work, like amazon alexa or Apple HomePod. Not sure if thats an oversight on my end or if its an unexpected flaw/limitation of the product. I had assumed you would be able to use it via bluetooth connected to your phone.

Decent bulb, works well with Alexa
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad but have had wifi issues despite it being about 20 feet from the router... nothing but a few walls in between, standard drywall. Overall, it was part of a promotion so i can't complain too much.

Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like the product however I had some issues setting it up due to two different Wiz apps. I gave it 3 stars as well due to not being compatible with the Apple HomeKit. I did get it with a significant discount.
