I bought some JBL for about 250.00. Bad idea they didn't last 2 years. plastic cracks. Ear pad fell apart in first 6 months. I have Sennheiser before, use them in studio. This is the best pair I've had.

I was excited to put the Sennheiser Accentum headphones on and give them a go after some good experiences listening to other Sennheiser products and they do have quite a reputation for sound engineering. The Accentum headphones are a more affordable version and have substantial competition in their price range. Out of the box you get the headphones, a USB-C cable and some basic instructions. The build reminds me of the Sony WHCH720N when looking at the earcups and feeling the light weight. The earcups padding is comfortable and has the typical adjustments to size to your head. There’s a slight padding where the headphones sit on top of your head too. The earcups do provide a nice seal around my ears.The buttons are located on the right headphone. You have a power, volume up and down, and a center button that will give you a convenient audible battery readout, pause or play your music. I do like the fact that the L and R are printed large on the inside of the earcups. I often pickup my other headphones and search for the left or right designation so that I put them on correctly. The charging is industry standard USB-C so I have more than a few of these cords sitting around, but one is included if you need it. Overall I feel like Sennheiser has a familiar build quality for this price range and comfort is adequate. I do like the light weight as well. There isn’t a case for travel so these will need to be hanging around your neck or packed somewhere safely. The earcups also sit flat if you need to put them on a flat surface. These headphones have a battery on them. They boast a battery life of 50 hours so you could probably go between charges about a week or two depending on use. ANC is adequate. You can also shift to transparent if you need to hear ambient sounds. I’ve come to learn that most of these headphones, even the more expensive ones, only block out certain frequencies. I feel like the Sennheiser Accentum is on par compared with its competition. These The app is quality. There is connection management that will give you a list of devices that you have connected for management. There is a sound check if you want to customize your presets. You can step through a series of choices as you're playing a song to dial in exactly what equalizer settings sound best and it will save your own custom equalizer. You can also choose from a variety of common music presets or dial in a custom equalizer that reads back dB levels to you as you make your changes. There’s an additional Bass Boost feature and a Podcast preset that focuses on voice clarity. Sound zones are available if you want to create sound settings based on your location such as home, work, gym, etc. And lastly, there’s a Sidetone feature that feeds back a little bit of your voice during phone calls to give you more of a natural sounding phone call. I’ve never thought about this but it makes sense because on our phones we always hear our voices and headphones tend to cancel out some of that noise so I like the idea. Overall I like the app and its customization features, especially with the equalizer. However, I do wish it had a few presets for TV, movies, or youtube. I did watch a few movies and the sound was excellent. I didn’t really feel like I needed to dial in the sound for movies but the preset would be nice. Phone calls are clear. The 2 way microphone does what it need to remove excessive background noise. The sidetone is also a cool feature that can be dialed in to make it sound more like a typical phone call. You have all the typical buttons available for accepting and rejecting phone calls. Google assistant is also available when needed. Sound performance is impressive. These headphones really stand out in the bass department. What’s nice is the headphones aren’t just bass, they have a fine attention to highs, mids, and lows. Music is quite an experience with these headphones. I listen to a variety of music from 80’s to Rock to Hip-Hop and I loved every second of it. When I compare these to higher end headphones I feel like they hang right in there. The sound just delivers in every genre and has a great balance that I’ve come to know with other Sennheiser products. What I mean by balance is the bass mids and treble seem to be at just the right volume levels without being obnoxious, just a pleasant, smooth sound, with absolutely no distortion. The volume is adequate too. I felt like the highest setting on volume was just a bit too loud which is great considering some headphones I’ve had just don’t get loud enough when I really want to turn the volume up. Bass Boost tends to lower the volume down a bit, and I really don’t see the need for it because the bass is excellent on these headphones and the equalizer can be dialed in to boost if necessary. After comparing these Sennheisers with 2 other pairs of Sony (one similar, and one higher end) and one pair of beats fit pro earbuds there isn’t a lot of separation between all four, but there are some distinct differences. The bass is a little tighter on the the higher end Sonys but not necessarily better, actually the opposite. The earbuds have good bass but don’t hit as hard as any of the over the ear headphones. The Sennheisers have a distinct bass that sounds like a larger range in the lower frequencies that in my opinion is more pleasant. If I can tell you anything, the Sennheisers have a detailed, quality sound that won’t disappoint. The question is should you buy these headphones? For the category they reside in, I would recommend these headphones. They are a respectable brand with quality sound engineering, and you can hear it in these headphones. They offer everything that comparable headphones offer in the feature and sound department. Their app offers you everything you need, and a few things you don’t. I personally haven’t seen a battery last this long either. If you’re looking for a case, more comfort, or higher end build quality, you will need to spend more money. If you’re looking for headphones in the sub $200 range, Sennheiser cut the right corners with these headphones to give you the essentials: sound, comfort, and quality. THIS is the Sennheiser Accentum headphones, coming in around the middle of the pack in price but above the pack in comfort - these Noise Canceling Headphones left me both awed and confused with its feature set and what makes it stand out. First off, at $180 - these beat almost every single ear buds that have ever graced my ear - even putting on a fierce fight with the airpods pro! So lets start ticking boxes: Noise Cancelation, 50 hour battery life, fold flat design, adjustable equalizer, nice/comfortable design…. The Accentum has it all, but is that the whole story here? Design ========== The Accentum is actually very well built - made of a nice feeling soft plastic and buttons that actually click. Something I want to note is that the headphones do have a good clamp on them, and for me, that is awesome! I enjoy it because my headphones don’t slide off my head during a heavy workout or when benching - however, if you are sensitive to head pressure then I would for sure take note of bestbuys return policy and use that to your advantage. The only thing I really didn’t care for all that much design wise was the layout of the buttons. I just like to click buttons and have instant resolution, but the power button is also the Bluetooth button and that caused me to adjust. Very nit picky, otherwise perfect design and comfort. The ear cushions were really nice as well, I have larger than average ears and they were perfectly scooped into the cup very comfortably for hours and hours gaming and doing homework. I really enjoyed these headphones from a design aspect, while being conforming to the market I certainly recognize their own unique way of making the headphones quality and stand out. App ========== This is where my biggest gripes come into play, in the sense that the app was pretty much useless to me. The only thing that I needed to do on the app that I couldn’t do on the headphones was adjust the equalizer and some one time settings adjustments on the active noise cancelation. Lets start with the equalizer though, I really found it to be useless - and the bass ‘booster’ muted most of the bass on my electronic music rendering it useless to me. The Sennheiser app did have some interesting features such as setting up a sound zones to change the settings of your headphones depending on your geographical location, so that at school or work they are transparent and have a different sound stage then at home or the gym where you might find the Noise Cancelation used more and a deeper / more vibrant sound stage is used. You can also use their own personalization feature for the built in 5 level EQ which lets you pick three different options while listing to music - similar to your optometry appointment picking the clearest lenses - but for your music to match how you want it to sound. It was actually really nice for non electronic music, but less adjustable than I would have preferred. There is no adjustments on the mic in app, so the so sound you get off the Mic is what you get, which I found to be quite average but well enough that you could be on your phone, in the car or anywhere other than a headphone microphone - so it was really good enough! Sound ========== What we are all here for! These are certainly studio V - sounding headphones, very clean and neutral. Even in the EQ I was limited in my ability to change the headphones sound and couldn’t really change the sound anything dramatic. Bass is clean, not prominent and that is just how it is with these headphones. Maybe I am blown out on my expectations with bose, but I was left wanting on bass - but the sound was otherwise really full. I will add as a final note on these headphones, they are extremely versatile. I can work, gym, call, zoom, game and everything else in these headphones. I mean truly this is a great pair of headphones to just have for anything! Cheap enough to take anywhere, but nice enough to wear anywhere as well. The Active noise Cancellation was the only fault in the sound, as in, if you are looking for headphones for the pure silence - these probably aren’t it. While the headphone cups are pretty good, there is a small whine from the ANC when just idle. When listing to music though, they block most of the noise you don’t want to hear - but certainly not a full spectrum blockage. I found them susceptible to the usual, high pitched sounds, wind, and sounds that peak really high. Good ANC for the market it is entering, but there is better out there. Final Thoughts ========== I actually really enjoy these headphones, I think at $180 they are really stunners. Comfort and versatility are awesome, but I have never had a pair of headphones actually go 40+ hours without a charge! I throw these in my bag and forget that I ever even need to charge it, having had it for almost two weeks I have charged it twice…. And one was just out of the box so I could test it without the battery dying. I think that individually, you can go and find better features on other headphones - but it would be harder to find a better package of features done as well as Sennheiser has done with their Accentum line. As always, Bestbuy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

To start, the design is a nice but generic black plastic style. Build quality feels good but is primarily plastic and faux leather, which has some upsides. Included in the box are the headphones and a USB-C cable for charging or connection to a computer. No carrying case or other accessories. Setup and Performance When you take them out of the box, they have a solid feel to them but noticeably lighter than higher end units. The headband feels like it has the right amount of pressure on your head without being too hard to cause fatigue. The headband and earcups have a good amount of cushion and remain comfortable after several hours of use. The main downside is they don’t breathe so if you get at all hot you will probably take them off periodically to dry off and cool down. Beyond heat, they are probably some of the most comfortable headphones I have used. They also don’t flop around like heavier units. While metal feels more premium, the choice of plastic seems like a good choice here. The plastic doesn’t feel cheap either. When adjusting the headband, the pressure feels even. Instead of a cheap feeling plastic click adjustment it has a smooth friction adjustment. This means you can adjust the size and tension to your preference and not a specific detent in the headband. It also makes it feel more premium. The control buttons do have a sharp click to them which does feel a bit cheaper, but they do give good feedback letting you know you have fully pressed them. It takes some practice controlling via the buttons as they are small and all on one side. Only the play button is different being slightly raised. While you can use them straight out of the box without an app, you are going to want to set up the app. Out of the box the headphones sound almost muddy and feel lacking in the highs, although admittedly I prefer a slightly bright sound. They have ample bass but don’t feel overdone. For rock or country, the sound profile is pretty good out of the box. For heavy vocals or electronic music, they sounded flat and quiet at first. Adjusting the 5 band EQ didn’t seem to do anything to improve the sound and it almost seemed like all was lost. Things changed after running the Sound Check. Sound Check has you start by playing your favorite music and they give you 3 custom presets to try out. You choose your favorite of the 3 and move on. After 5 rounds you should have a sound profile tuned your liking. Sound Check must be able to make greater changes to the EQ and had a massive effect compared EQ. What at first seemed like mediocre headphones into good ones. The highs were lifted a noticeable amount making tracks like Hello by Adele far more enjoyable. It still doesn’t have the energy of higher end headphones and the soundstage is non-existent, but it is expected for headphones in the class. The sound overall was reasonably neutral after tuning and enjoyable to use. Probably the main grip after tuning was the fact that it seems like most of the volume changes occur in the last 20% of the volume slider. They stay quiet all the way up to 80% and from there the volume ramps up aggressively. This means if you prefer your volume somewhere in a happy medium between extremely loud and too quiet you might keep passing it while adjusting. After getting adjusted it became easier to find a good volume, but a little more variation would be nice. While the Accentum have ANC it doesn’t need to work very hard in some cases. Just putting the headphones on you will notice they block out a fair bit of ambient noise. If you wear glasses, it isn’t quite as effective, but they still naturally block a lot of noise. A nice touch is if you receive a call while on noise cancelling the headphones switch to transparency using your adjusted side tone. This means you aren’t trying to hear yourself speak through ANC. As soon as the call ends the music starts back up with your previous settings and ANC if it was on. The ANC isn’t the most aggressive out there and certain background still filter through. While ANC is usually for background sounds the combination of natural insulation and ANC means that while playing music even on low voices often get completely cancelled out. Most ANC allow voices more. If you need to work or study and want to block out speech more these could do the trick. The microphone, much like the rest of the Accentum, is a balancing act of targeting lower midrange devices. While the microphone is very good for the class, it isn’t going to wow anyone. People talking on the phone reported speech was good and easy to understand but not great. Voice tones were somewhat compressed but still reasonably good. The same is also true of when Sidetone is turned on. The effect is very subtle, and you may find yourself turning it to max to hear yourself as best as possible. Overall, the microphone is very good for the class. Final Thoughts Sennhieser has a good job with the Accentum headphones. While not top tier headphones, they don’t intend to be. They, instead, try to find a good mix of performance of versus value. While nothing is going to wow you, there is nothing that will leave you feeling disappointed and that is a challenge to achieve. If you are looking for a balanced set of lower midrange headphones with ANC, then the Sennheiser Accentum is worth a look.

--- SETUP --- The setup for these bluetooth headphones is quick and effortless. While the headphones charge, download the Sennheiser app. The app will help you set up your headphones. --- FEATURES --- Active noise canceling (ANC), bluetooth, built-in mic, over-the-ear fit, adjustable headband, 50 hour battery life, works with Google Assistant and Siri, comfortable, customizable via app. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- I took these headphones as my main pair while I traveled to Cuba. I had a backup in case they happened to be uncomfortable. I’m happy to report that it was the only pair of headphones I needed during my travels. For starters, I was in Cuba a full week. During that time, I would use my headphones about 2 hours a day. So, for 10 hours plus about 5 from the airplane ride, not once did I have to charge the headphones. The comfort level was exactly what I seeked from traveling headphones. I was able to comfortably wear these while resting on the plane and not once did they bother me nor did they fall off. They are sturdy enough that I was able to put them away quickly in my traveling backpack and not feel like they were going to break. As far as the ANC goes, plane turbines are loud. Sometimes, I would wear them to reduce the sound in my ears and it was comfortable to sit in silence without the extra ambient noise. When I did choose to listen to my audiobook, a podcast, movie, or music, I had no problems hearing any of my entertainment. In fact, the app has a great feature in which it walks you through the paces of how to best set up your sound for what you plan on listening to. It is a lot like going to an eye doctor in which the app asks you, “which sounds better, audio A, or audio B?” By doing so, even if you don’t understand much about adjusting audio levels, you will be able to create a profile that is custom made to what sounds best to you. You are able to have multiple profiles as well. I have one for podcasts, one for music, and one for videos. --- APPROVAL --- These headphones are a welcome addition to my everyday life. They now go with me for day to day activities but have proven themselves as highly reliable to travel as well. I would recommend this pair of headphones for the new audiophile who cares about sound but may not be yet familiar on how to customize an equalizer to their liking.

Sennheiser - ACCENTUM Wireless Bluetooth Headphones... a great choice, especially if you will be wearing them for extended periods of time! In the box, pretty simple. The headphones, a USB cable and the ubiquotous basic manual and disclaimers... Downloaded the app, pair the phones and you are up and running. Pairing was as quick as I have seen. About the app, it's pretty lightweight and not particularly robust. It has Connection Management, EQ, Sound Check (creates storable custom EQ settings), Sound Zones (storable settings for different environments), Active Noise Cancelation/Transparency and Side Tone (sets level that you hear your own voice on calls). All pretty self explanatory. The default sound is great. Lows that are low but not over-bearing. Mids are crisp, clean and clear. Highs are perfectly clean and sharp without being too sharp. Great default sound! My only complaint was the EQ itself. I messed around with it several times and each time I adjusted it, it seemed to dampen the over-all sound. I set it to default and was perfectly happy. Not the greatest EQ, but not a deal breaker. The Active Noise Cancellation is quite good. For the price point, hard to beat. If I were going on a long flight tomorrow, these would probably be the first I would grab. In addition to the ANC, these are as comfortable as can be... As mentioned, these would be the first I would grab for a flight, not just for the ANC, but especially for the comfort. Not only do they fit my big head quite well, they also let me wear my sunglasses unencumbered by the ear cups. That is outstanding! Other over-the-ear headphones have a tendancy to compress the sunglasses into my head and it get's uncomfortable after a short peiod of time As for controls, the built controls on the right ear are simple, intuitive easily controlled. My experience with some headphones is that they can be too-cute-by-half. These are great. End of the day, these are an excellent choice, especially if you will be wearing them for extended periods of time and/or with sunglasses.

I really like these headphones. The sound quality is really fantastic. They have good battery life and are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I think they are better engineered than some of Sennheiser's previous models and it looks like they've really listened to customers about what they didn't like about previous headphones. They're easy to operate, easy to charge and are a great choice for at home headphones. Build These are nice looking headphones although there's really nothing that stands out on them. They are all black. The finish is matte and easy to grip and find buttons on. The all important ear cup design and materials are really nice. They use the same type of material that they used on the 450BTs but they have greatly improved the comfort all around on the Accentums. The ear cushions are molded and extremely soft. The inner foam is soft enough to seal well around your ears but not too soft where they crush easily. This is a huge plus over the 450s that used the same material but were made of several pieces that were stitched together. The headband is wider than past models and they seem to have nailed the tension on the Accentums. They stay in place without feeling like a vise on your head. The ear cups completely envelop your ears and don't sit on top of them, which by design helps to keep great sound in and external noise out. Controls Button setup is easy to get the hang of and they come with an easily removed label that has all the functions printed on it to get you started. There are four in all and located on the right ear cup. A round power/Bluetooth button is on the bottom and is set apart from the rest of them. Sliding your right thumb up the back you'll encounter the remaining three buttons. Volume down, a multi function button with an obvious raised bump on it and then the volume up button. The multi function button is easy to fine and serves as the play, pause, phone answer and phone disconnect functions. There's also a USB-C port for charging (and yes, they include the cable). One thing they don't do is fold for traveling. They also don't include a case or bag to keep them in. While some people may find this to be a negative, I didn't find this to be a big deal as I use headphones at home and ear buds when traveling. Sound I love the sound of these headphones. I use headphones with both mp3 files on my phone, and flac files on my home network drive, both sounded great. The music app I use on my phone has a really nice EQ built in that I tweaked a bit, and so when I listen this way I have the Sennheiser apps' EQ flat. When I connect to my network drive then I tweak the Sennheiser EQ. Either way, I'm able to get refined control over the sound. You can dial in the sound you want with the app and I found the sound to be very clean. The bass is deep and extremely punchy with good sound pressure levels that you actually feel. Midrange is clear and the highs are pristine and not hissy. When you have good sound quality like this you'll find you can (and want) to listen to music for hours, and your ears just don't get tired. That's the sign of good sound. If your ears seem like it's a chore to listen after a short while, get some good headphones (the same is true with any speaker system). I listen to a variety of music but I have to say hard rock is what dominates my collection. I also like a lot of techno tracks, and my tastes swing into jazz and new age as well. All of it sounded incredible. I was not able to try out the noise canceling abilities very much. My house is pretty quiet most times, but I will say, with most noise canceling systems I've used, you can hear an audible difference in the sound because these types of things doctor the way the music sounds in order to “cancel” out noise. I did not notice any difference in the actual sound I was hearing by switching to the different noise canceling settings. This is a huge plus. No one wants the sound to change to compensate for outside noise. I think unless you're on a noisy plane ride or next to a construction zone, you probably won't need it. The fit on the ear cups is really great, which helps a lot. But if you play your music at softer volume levels or listen to ebooks or something like that, you'll be happy to know you can turn on the noise canceling and relax. Actually, the canceling seems to be on all the time (active noise canceling), so you can only adjust having it fully on or using the “transparency” settings. Either way, it doesn't adversely affect the sound. App So I was able to connect straight up to Bluetooth on my phone without using the Sennheiser app, but I do already have it on my phone since I have several of their products already. Without using their app you can just use whatever music app you you like to use without any issues. But what their app gets you is a direct connection to the features you can't get to with any of the buttons. For instance, the noise canceling abilities and adjustments are only available through the app. There are really good EQ options as well like a five band graphic EQ. There's other EQ options that will let you fine tune the equalizer settings based on what you're listening to. This is called “Sound Check”, and while you play music you like, it guides you through a series of tone changes and lets you select the ones you like. After you're done, it shows you the EQ settings you selected by choosing the tones you liked. It actually works very well and I was surprised with the results. It does help you find the best sound settings for specific music you like to listen to. You can save as many of these tone settings as you like. Wrap up Most people would not consider these to be inexpensive headphones. And while they're probably not the top of the line, they sound great. They come with a host of features in the Sennheiser app including noise canceling and EQ options. And they are some of the most comfortable headphones I have. You can easily wear them for hours without your ears falling asleep and feeling crushed. I think they are better suited for at home use since they don't fold for portability (Sennheiser claims that they do, but the ear cups only rotate flat. The headband doesn't actually fold). They are also not water resistant so you may want to rethink buying them for workouts. For my use, I found them to be an excellent choice. It's also really nice to see a two year warranty on them. That tells me the company has a lot of confidence in the build and design.

I was first introduced to Sennheiser when I got a pair of their earbuds and those are some of my favorite. The Accentum headphones continue that with great sound quality and features for the price. Unboxing you get the headphones and a USB cable, no carrying case or bag. The headphones have a solid feel and the ear cups and headband are very soft and cushy. If you’re someone with a small to average size head the headphones will be comfortable for you. If you have a large or an x large head they probably won’t be. Setup is simple and straightforward like most Bluetooth devices and having one of the latest Bluetooth versions 5.2, you’ll get a strong stable connection. This is especially noticeable when using them to watch videos as you’ll not have to deal with out of sync audio. The app is minimal but allows for a decent amount of customization with different or custom eq settings, ANC control and more. Sound quality, they have a well balanced sound and clarity and deliver bass with depth without being boomy. My one knock would be they don’t come with a carrying case or bag, it would have been nice even if they had to charge a little more. The Sennheiser Accentum are well balanced headphones for people with small to medium heads.

The Sennheiser Accentum wireless headphones were very easy to link to my iPhone. They paired right up via Bluetooth. The app installed quickly. There are three larger buttons, one small button and a charging port. The small button turns the headphones on and off as well as initiates pairing. The three larger buttons are for volume, moving between songs, e.g. skipping a song, answering/ending calls and moving between noise cancellation mode (what you want on a plane) and transparency mode (when you want to hear the crowd around you). I don’t seem to get the pressing of the buttons correct (my chubby fingers no doubt) so I use the app to move between modes. The box says up to 50 hours of use. I left them on for 12 hours with no music playing and then used them for several hours to listen to music. I considered letting music play all night to see if they were still going in the morning but then I saw in the app that it tells me the battery is at 80%. This part is pretty funny…I was looking at them and thinking how nice is that that they label the buttons, see picture. It turns out there are stickers on each ear phone that are there to help you get started but then you peel them off. Took me a few days to figure out to pull off the stickers. Fortunately, I realized before wearing them on a plane! The sound is fantastic, but then they are made by Sennheiser so of course the sound is fantastic. Most important is after a few minutes of wearing you forget you have them on. They are really comfortable on my ears.

I have been using ear buds for the longest time and decided I missed normal headphones. The sound on these is great for an for my tastes and are comfortable. I can wear these with my industrial for hours without any discomfort.

Very good sound and very comfortable. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because for my big ears, I wasn't able to do long listening sessions. Ear cup size just a bit too small.

I bought this brand four yrs ago for my hearing impaired son. But they had been discontinued so I got him a newer version of same brand for Christmas . He’s definitely gotten his use outta these headphones over the years.

My son loves them! He was hoping to use them with his switch but they would not connect.

I have several Sennheiser headphones and earbuds. My usual is True Sport earbuds and also their EPOS gaming headsets. I also have Jubilee wired headphones connected to my home stereo system. I really like their quality and the sound quality is always very good. They recently introduced the Accentum wireless headphones with active noise cancelling for a budget friendly alternative to the Momentum and other comparable units. Personally I find them not as heavy as some of my other headphones and they are very comfortable. They fit over the ear with soft foam pads and a supple covering. The head band is adjustable and applies enough pressure to keep them securely in place during normal use without being too tight. I find some headphones have too much tension and can be uncomfortable to wear for an extended time. Bluetooth connectivity is straightforward. Pairing is same as any device and if you download the Sennheiser Smart Control smartphone app you gain a lot more capability. With Smart Control you can flip between of noise canceling/ambient and adjust an equalizer with pre-sets or customize to your preference. Basic controls on the headset are easy to use albeit the buttons are a bit small for my big fingers. I’d much rather see a volume wheel rather than buttons to differentiate between the controls. The multifunction button jumps between media play and phone call answer/hold/end. It’s easy to switch between active noise cancelling and ambient noise by double pressing the power button, single pressing the power button gives you mic mute and also activates Siri and/or Google Assistant. The sound quality is very good even for a budget friendly offering but I wouldn’t expect anything less from Sennheiser. The 50 hour battery life is more than enough for a long trip and you can gain a 10 hours on a quick charge making this a really good economical choice at under $180. The only negative I have is I wish they had included a carrying case or bag would have been nice to make it a bit more backpack friendly.

Tl;dr Sennhieser’s “value” priced wireless headphones deliver on excellent sound quality, but come up short in noisy environments. All day comfort and battery make it perfect for office or home office use. Sennhieser is a legend in the headphone industry. They made the very first pair of “audiophile” quality headphones I got in 1987. They’ve continued to innovate and to challenge Bose and Sony for the best sounding headphones on the market. The Accentum headphones are a true child of this legacy. The sound quality is natural and well balanced. While slightly bass heavy out of the box, it’s easily tweaked with the available app. They’re comfortable to wear for an extended period of time and do a decent job of blocking out office sounds. I also took them outside when I was mowing the lawn. As good as they sound, the advertised noise cancellation leaves much to be desired. It barely muffled the sound of the mower. I even heard planes going overhead. Both sounds have been blocked by the Jabra Connect 5t I often wear when doing yard work. On the other hand, these are half the price of Sennhieser’s Momentum headphones which many reviewers widely praised for their noise canceling ability. This seems to be a matter of “You get what you pay for.” For my ears, the excellent reproduction of all kinds of music is well worth the cost regardless of their noise canceling ability. Battery life is rated at 50 hours. I did not come close to drawing down the battery during the time I was using the headphones. They connect with Bluetooth by default. They’ll use the APTx standard, if your phone supports it (which my OnePlus 11 does). Other than wired, this will give you the best quality. The Accentum headphones will also work as wired headphones on devices with a USB-C output and a double ended USB-C cable. They sounded great coming through my phone and my PC. They did not sound good coming from my iPad, so I suspect that may be an Apple issue. Paired with Bluetooth, they still sounded good. Given the long battery life, I can’t imagine when will be the next time I try to plug them into my phone. Sennhieser also decided to make these a good headset. Once again, they’re not the best at noise cancellation. However, in a quiet / office environment, they picked up my voice very well and callers could hear me clearly. It was very nice not having to switch to something else when I have a meeting to attend. Two things which would make these a little better: 1) The controls cannot be customized, unlike many headphones and ear buds on the market. Even with the app installed, the only change I can make is with the equalizer. There are a couple of other gimmicky features which are only enabled if you opt in to their marketing. 2) While they’re comfortable, I’d like the ability to tighten them on my head when I’m outside. Several times when I turned my head, they pulled back a bit and let in the rest of the world. It would be nice to have more flexibility in how well they hold my head.

These sound amazing, they’re lightweight & comfortable & paired easily with iPad but pairing with iPhone 15 pro was not so easy. You have to push a button on the side of the headphones to connect, this took me awhile to figure out, it wouldn’t pair through Bluetooth on the phone. If you have an older Apple product such as an iPod, where all my music is still stored, you can’t use any app features because it’s not supported, it requires IOS17 or later, so they’re basically just headphones & you scant use any app features. Everything seems to rely heavily on the app. I used it with garage band on my iPad & it works but there’s a delay in sound, which could be common because they’re wireless. The noise cancelling is good & can be set to ANC which cancels it out completely or transparent where you can still hear what’s going on around you. The volume is also limited and only goes so loud, so you won’t make yourself deaf on these. They sound great but the whole app use & connection issues hold me back from giving any better rating.

The Sennheiser - ACCENTUM wireless Bluetooth headphones offer a high quality listening experience. The headphones provide active noise cancelling that can be activated or disabled. The ear pads are large and comfortable and adjust to almost anyones head size. The sound is wonderful and the Sennheiser app provides a large selection of preset equalization presets. The app also provides the user the opportunity to adjust these presets and also the ability to create your own series of presets. Pairing was simple, just follow the instructions in the quickstart guide and you can be listening to your favorite music within ten minutes or so. If I could make one change, it would be to increase the maximum volume output of the headphones. Don't get me wrong, they have good volume, but there are times with certain songs you just want to get that extra bit of sound coming through and these are not designed to get to that ear damaging level. Actually, that probably a good thing. The bass is nice, smooth and clean. I havn't picked up on much, if any distortion, from these headphones regardless of the type of music I have listened to. These are nice, clear, concise and have a nice ability to provide bass at just the right level. I do with they were just a little louder, but they do sound really good.

I was in the market to get a new set of desk/office headphones, and decided to try Sennheiser again due to past experience and their phenomenal reputation First off, I was set back by the price - not that these were high, but that they were so low. Past models were a multiple factor higher, but I took a chance anyways Unboxing was simple and I was pleasantly surprised with the Quick Start Owners Manual. They actually included one that read like it was written in English originally, and made sense to me Bluetooth connection follows the same process that we all have done many times, and the connection on my Mac was quick, simple and seamless. In minutes I was watching my favorite movies How do they sound? Well, they are so clear, that I want to go back to watch some of my favorites again to hear what I missed before. Crystal clear, and even the distant sounds in the movie can be heard. The richness is unbelievable. As for the noise canceling, maybe it is too good. With it on, you will lose track of your environment and be immersed into the movie To take it to the next level, I used the Sennheiser app (on my phone) to tune the sound to my preferences. Once done, I reconnected to the Mac and enjoyed further Now the 1 thing that I thought was genius of Sennheiser - they put button explanations on the ear cup. I left the one on the right cup attached so that I never have to look at the instructions again for volume, power, pause & play. The label appears like it was etched onto the cup, so it looks aesthetically fine to leave forever. You made my life simpler
