Perfect standalone soundbar for apartments

Easy setup through ARC port, and the app allows you access to the Smart Control app. This is how I control the volume on the TV, as well as adjust the sound settings including voice enhancement, night mode, and a 4 band equalizer to get the sound right. The real gem is the room correction, the bar basically trying to reproduce surround sound, this is the “ambeo” part of this soundbar. For sure helps with a wider sound and a feeling that the bar fills the room, if you really wanted the best for that effect; the plus bar above this in Sennheisers product line has upfiring speakers that will enhance this. Overall really happy with the purchase and would reccomend to anyone looking for clarity over loudness esp for news, sports and vocal heavy content that can be grating coming through poor quality speakers.

Great sound, right size, adequate price

I think that the Sennheiser - AMBEO Soundbar Mini is that equipment. Installing the bar is as easy as two wires: power to the wall and HDMI wire to the ARC input/output of your TV. On your phone, the smart app needs to be downloaded. With a first Bluetooth connection the right bar setup will start with a very intuitive step-by-step process, that includes the initial room calibration. The process will include a connection with your house wifi and the regular Firmware update (please note that downloading and installation could take close to 15 min). After that first installation, the options and sound possibilities are endless, and all very easily managed by the app. The AMBEO bar transforms every single TV program sound into a different dimension. The improvement is so big that even from the regular channels to the old movies you can see the difference but of course, if you bring the Dolby Sounds, the bar performs at its best converting the room into a small movie theater. Note that voices are clear and the vocal sounds are vibrant. The environment's sound is powerful and very crisp, the bar makes a clear difference between sound power and transparent delivery. For me this means, that more explosions in the movie are not just louder sounds but a clear sound that makes you part of the history you are watching. Powerfully delivered with quality and control. The app itself is to explore. With no previous technical knowledge, you can set different sound profiles depending on the input but you can also make manual adjustments from the six provided settings: adaptive, music, movie, news, neutral, or sports. Two more reinforcement settings are provided for voice enhancement and the night mode. If you are more adventurous other settings are available to adjust (like the level of volume centered in multi-chanel content). A final component that I love, very related to the many sources of available devices that I have around the house is the compatibility with several audit formats common in the sector: the well-known Dolby, the extensively used DTS, and the MPEG-H. A few additional elements: .- The bar comes with a remote control that I don’t use very often, while the sound control through eh ARC input is basically managed directly with the TV remote. .- No subwoofer is included in the package but if you have one, the connection with your bar is also possible .- Voice assistant built in: Aleza and Siri. .- USB input is also available for potential use with your laptop. .- Manufacturer guarantee of two years, double of standards for similar products. I love the AMBEO and the power that brings to my room. How easily connects with the TV and delivers all types of sounds with independence of the type of program. I love that the app makes the learning curve and the experimentation of the settings absolutely intuitive.

Certainly an upgrade from built-in TV speakers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit was easy to unpack and install, especially since it comes with the HDMI cable required to connect to the ARC enabled input. I did need to run an update once everything was connected WiFi/iPhone-wise but that went off without any issues. The bar isn't massive in size compared to some other sound bars I've used. It also (so far) hasn't shown any odd connection issues over time - I have another sound bar that occasionally needs a power cycle for it to properly connect to a Sony flat screen TV once again (seems to indicate it is the bar and not the TV). I should probably also mention that I just like the look/style of the unit in general. Sounds is much improved over what I was getting from my LG flat screen TV. As this is not on the 'main' TV in the house, I've only watched news and sports while using the bar. You are not going to get incredible bass from the unit, but I think you can expect that when you are not utilizing an external subwoofer. Obviously you're not dealing with a bunch of speaker wires with the unit because there are no satellites. I can't speak to the use of any electronic assistants because we don't use any.
