After listening to the 6.5 inch speakers by Sonance, I am glad I went with the 8 inch size. They fill my family room with a rich quality sound, look high end and saves space. Easy install. Great purchase, price and product.

These Sonance ceiling speakers sound amazing … the 8 inch provide excellent base sound … they are also beautiful… with a magnet grate to cover the speaker…you can NOT beat the price from BB… ordering was easy… updates timely and arrival flawless

These are much bigger in person! They are HUGE and pack a major punch! The way they seamlessly connect to the Sonos amp and sound bar is beyond impressive and they sit flush in your ceiling giving your home an even more bespoke look where ever you have these mounted! Don't hesitate to buy, especially if they are on sale AND you have a Sonos system!

It was easy enough to hook up and it molded into my ceiling hidden very well. There pretty heavy speakers and i have a smaill space, but they were amazing. My ohms were standard in the middle for my stereo and it blended well with the center.

Having an 8 inch in-ceiling speaker is great. It provides plenty of bass and the ability to direct them towards the listening area is really nice.

These speakers are amazing. They have good sound and are big enough to offer some bass sound as opposed to the 6-inch speakers

These are a nice upgrade from my 6 ½ speakers I had previously. Great quality and great sound!

Setup: Install is as easy as can be for in-ceiling speakers. Cut out template is provided, the grill is magnetic and can be easily removed for painting if desired. The Speaker: It's big! Biggest in ceiling speaker I have seen, but still fits nicely between the joists in my basement ceiling. Sound: Big Speaker means big sound! I did a test with no sub-woofer connected, and the bass was still surprisingly good with these speakers. Mids to highs we of course excellent as well. Originally, I was going to use these as Atmos channels, but because the range is so good, I will use these for music speakers in another area of the house using the 2nd zone on my receiver. Overall, can't go wrong with these. Sonance is a well known brand to pro-installers and I can now see, or should I say hear, why. Great performance for an in-ceiling speaker, better than most discrete speakers out there.

I really don’t know how else to say it, so I’ll just say it: adding ceiling speakers to your existing home theater will take it to the next level. What better way to do it than with a pair of Sonance 8 inch beauties. Upon unpackaging the speakers from the box, your first reaction may be to the size and weight of them. They are big, and they are heavy. I immediately began to ponder the ceiling sheetrock supporting them. Yes, they feel and are that heavy. The key to proper installation, besides following the instructions, is using the template properly. The speakers essentially slide into the hole cut using the provided template. Make sure you have the proper tools when cutting the hole in the sheetrock. I recommend cutting by hand from the center using a sheetrock saw. Once you slide the speaker in the hole, there are screws which twist a clamp in position to secure the speaker to the sheetrock. If you’ve installed wall speakers or other ceiling speakers, you should be very familiar with this design approach. It is very important not to overtighten the clamp screws. Of course, you need to run speaker wire from your receiver – of course you know that if you made this purchase. Placement is also important. I have a 7.2 channel system. Having rear and surround speakers, the best place for these is between those distances, but closer to the rear speakers. If you have a 5.1 system, I suggest a location nearly on top of the preferred seating location for your theater setup. Well, enough of that. How do they sound. In a word, WOW! Not only is the sound full, with fantastic range, but very powerful, deep, and rangy. These speakers outshine my existing speaker setup, which is pretty good, in my opinion. The sound quality is fantastic, and if you don’t have at least above average speakers currently, you may want to look elsewhere. You need something with good quality to get a proper blend with the Sonance speakers. This is quality sound, period. They are wonderful for movies, music, and sporting events. I have no reservations in saying you will undoubtedly enjoy them. I don’t only recommend these speakers, but I encourage anyone interested to go to Best Buy and purchase them. This is not a question of “if” but “when”!
