This is a compact soundbar that delivers big sound for its size. It fits nicely under most TVs and looks sleek. The audio quality impresses, with clear dialogue and decent bass for both movies and music. Setup is generally easy - just plug it in and follow the app instructions. It works with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control, which is handy. The Dolby Atmos feature adds depth to movies, making them more immersive. Music playback is good, and you can stream easily from your devices. It also plays well with other Sonos speakers if you want to expand your system. However, there have been issues with the mobile app wich can be frustrating when you're trying to adjust settings or play music. The price is on the higher side for a soundbar, and you might want to add a subwoofer for better bass, which costs extra. The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) offers great sound in a small package, but the app troubles and high price might make you think twice. It's best for those who prioritize audio quality and don't mind occasional tech hiccups.

I bought the Sonos Arc for my bedroom and living room but wanted something smaller for my guest bedroom so I bought the original Beam. It was great but it was missing one feature…Dolby Atmos. The Beam 2 has added Dolby Atmos and improved the vocal audio so now it’s the perfect and best small soundbar. I’ve owned the top of the line soundbars by Samsung, Sony, and LG and they all sounded good for movies but sounded bad for music. None of those brands sells a subwoofer that can hit the low end bass like Sonos.
I do have to issue a disclaimer for the Beam 2 and every soundbar available. The Dolby Atmos effect works best with upfiring speakers in a room with low ceilings but it’s limited. If you want the full Dolby Atmos effect you need rear speakers so you create a sound bubble and then you have sound coming in all directions…only then can you tell sound is being placed left, right, high, or low. I purchased the Beam 2, subwoofer, and 2 Sonos Ones so I get the full surround sound experience and it’s great and worth the money. Not only do movies and music sound great but the Beam 2 is great for gaming. When it comes to negatives…I will say it does get expensive to build out the system and the Beam 2 works way better with a sub, rear speakers, or both.

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is a compact yet powerful soundbar that delivers an impressive audio experience. Equipped with Dolby Atmos support, it enhances movie nights with immersive surround sound. The soundstage is clear, detailed, and surprisingly expansive for its size, making it ideal for smaller spaces or secondary setups.
Its sleek design blends seamlessly with modern decor, and setup is simple via the Sonos app. Voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant adds convenience, and its integration with the Sonos ecosystem ensures a smooth multi-room audio experience.
While it lacks HDMI inputs and might not satisfy audiophiles seeking ultra-deep bass, its performance and feature set make it a great value for the price. Perfect for those looking for a versatile, high-quality soundbar in a compact package.

If you're anything like me, you're probably stuck between this or the Sonos Arc. After reading reviews by many sources, it seemed pretty clear that the Arc was the best of the best. It also seemed like the Beam 2 was not getting the credit it deserves compared to the Arc. I am here today to tell you that the Beam 2 is superb!! The audio is amazing! I have a somewhat small room (17ft x 10ft) with a normal-sized ceiling. This soundbar fills the room with clear audio. I will admit, the bass is not crazy good by any means, but there definitely still is a noticeable thump. You don't have to pay attention to the bass in order to experience it either. You will notice it. Dialogue is easily comprehensible and sound effects immerse you. I am very happy with my purchase, and much happier that I saved ~$500 going this route than the Arc. I haven't experienced the Arc, but I don't see how it can get much better than this. The Arc seems to be best for HUGE living rooms that require a powered soundbar in order to fill the room with audio. I'm talking LA-mansion-style living rooms.
By the way, I'm a pretty geeky tech guy. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I am definitely a tech enthusiast. What I am trying to say is that I take my techy purchases seriously, review specs, watch videos, read reviews, and all that jazz. Hopefully, that means something to someone who needs help settling on a soundbar.

I’ve had the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) for a bit now and it’s been great. Setup was super easy with the Sonos app, and it looks really clean under my TV. The sound is way better than my TV speakers—dialogue is clear and the bass is decent even without a subwoofer.
Dolby Atmos is a nice bonus too. It makes movies feel more immersive, even though the soundbar is pretty compact. I also like that I can control it with Alexa and stream music through AirPlay. Everything just works smoothly.
If you want better sound without dealing with a big speaker setup, this is a solid pick.

Unbelievable. I've been looking for a soundbar or sound system, in general, and grabbed one of these puppies on the rare sale that they have. Astounding sound with surprising bass and clarity. Gets really loud, too. I combined this with a sub-mini and was a complete nightmare for my downstairs neighbors. If you're looking around at the soundbars, like Sony, Denon, etc. think about ease-of-use, app compatibility and design, as well as the sound quality (additionally, the modularity of being able to add pieces over time makes it flexible). Stop reading and just buy it - took me less than 3 minutes to set up from soup to nuts.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Sonos Beam! We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the incredible sound quality and ease of use. The combination with the Sub Mini indeed creates a powerful audio experience. Your feedback highlights the flexibility and compatibility that Sonos aims to provide.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out. Enjoy your sound system and happy listening!

I bought the Beam soundbar to hang under a 42” TV in my kitchen. The Sonos Beam seamlessly works with ARC on my LG TV. Voices come thru clearly while watching news, sound from streaming television is good, not great but as good as can be expected from a small soundbar. A small subwoofer would make it perfect, but for our kitchen it is totally unnecessary.
I listen to music while cooking. The Sonos app seamlessly plays music from all of my streaming services. It accurately accepts voice commands and music requests like “play the blues”. It also responds to requests to increase or decrease volume, which helps when y hands are dirty. The music fills our kitchen with sound and is very adequate for the room.
The App allowed me to start-up the system quickly.
Summary: The Beam is everything and more than I could expect from a small Soundbar. I anticipate purchasing more Sonos products to replace my Bose home theater system.

I recently bought the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to boost the sound quality of my TV, movie, music, YouTube experience. At the store, I wasn't too impressed with the sound quality of any of the sound bars on display, but knowing other people with Sonos products (Play 1s, One SLs, etc.) I knew how good they could sound in an apartment, home, etc.
Set up was a breeze with the NFC on an iPhone 13 Pro. I was initially really impressed with the sound quality of the Beam connected to my 2015 Samsung TV (ARC HDMI port). It wasn't until I switched the audio format to DTS Neo 2.5 (Samsung DTS Digital format) that I was truly blown away. I can't get Atmos sound through my TV, but wow the clarity, power, and bass of the soundbar alone still heavily exceeded my expectations. I actually messaged my neighbor to let them know I'd gotten a new speaker and give them the freedom to message me if my music or movie watching ever got too loud! Movies and TV are especially fantastic via DTS 5.1 audio. The channel and range separation is done well and both provide a very immersive audio experience. My audio quality test for headphones is always "Long After You're Gone (High Quality) Audiophiles Music" on YouTube which was re-engineered by a audiofile engineering company based out of Germany. The beam did not disappoint and with the Speech Enhancement mode on, the Beam displayed its ability to pump out exceptional, high-quality sound. I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to render clear, deep bass responses.
I've now been bitten by the Sonos bug as I went out and got a Sonos One speaker for my bedroom and added the Gen 3 Sub to my Beam setup. I won't go in-depth on either, but the Sub is just stupid powerful. I shakes my entire living room area at a volume level of only 3 or 4 (goes all the way up to 15). The sub is pricy, but you pay for what you get here. Couldn't be happier with my first Sonos experience. FWIW, I decided to purchase a Beam Gen 2 for my parents for Christmas.
Verdict: Great, high-quality soundbar that is surprisingly powerful and offers a fantastic audio upgrade to my entertainment experience. For an even greater theater experience, get the Sub. You won't regret it. That said, the Beam does punch above its weight in many areas.

An excellent small speaker companion to a computer setup and secondary TV.
Pros:
Small, compact size
Comes in white color, not another black box
Seamless setup with Sonos app
Works as-designed with other Sonos products, including the One, One SL pair, or Sub.
Fair Dolby Atmos experience for the size
Supports a fair variety of audio codecs, formats, and containers, including Dolby TrueHD.
Cons:
Single HDMI eARC port (may require changing your setup)
Atmos content sounds best; stereo content is accurate and acceptable (but if you’re only looking for stereo or 2.1, you can save your money with other setups.)
Decent soundstage for the size of the physical speaker.
All in all, it suited my need. It’s trendy and minimal and works well in the space it’s intended for. We’re a Sonos household, so it was a simple addition. Others may dislike the price, fair enough.

Purchased to replace my existing sound bar that i bought years ago. Sonos truly delivers an incredible sound quality! I have maxed out the volume and have not heard any distortion at all. Good bass for just the soundbar alone, but incredible when paired with the Sonos subwoofer. I'd rather watch movies at home than the theater now.

I bought this Sonos Beam and replaced an Yamaha ATS-1080 with it. It’s a legitimate upgrade that offers superior sound quality. One of the issues I had with my Yamaha was hearing dialogue when other things were on like an AC unit Dishwasher etc. And I couldn’t get it loud enough without disrupting my neighbors on the other side of the wall. When you increase the sound for dialogue, you increase everything like Bass etc. The dialogue frequency is far greater on this Beam and I can get it the right level without it being disruptive.
I’ve read comments about less than impressive bass sound. One of the huge selling points on Yamaha ATS 1080 is the subwoofers inside of them that give it its bass sound. The Bass on this unit is just as powerful if not better. I think it’s better. So don’t let those comments dissuade you.
I bought this with the Sub Mini and Sonos ones. I watched Maverick and Titanic and sound between the three are amazing. And more than enough sound for a one or two bedroom living unit.
I went with Sonos because I really look at Sonos and Bose as the top two and everyone else below. I bought my Dad a Bose because it came with a remote and he doesn’t like using his smartphone. With Sonos it doesn’t come with remote, everything is done on the phone. So got him Bose, purchased my first Sonos unit and am enjoying it. The only other negative about this unit is you can turn it off. It remains on all the time. The constant power and smart phone use didn’t bother me

I’m very happy with my purchase, it’s far better than my Vizio surround sound system. I paired my beam 2 with two Sonos SL speakers. I’d recommend trying this set up before buying a sub, as it produces enough bass for my liking. Atmos content is limited and I cant really tell the difference between 5.1 and atmos.
Settings:
It took me a while to figure out proper settings. I use Apple TV 4K paired with Samsung 8k. You need to change Samsung audio processing to “pass-through” or you will experience severe lag while watching atmos content. Also, I had to force Apple TV audio to Dolby 5.1 (see picture) when watching 5.1 content or else the speakers would crack occasionally.
Note: Best Buy coupons work on Sonos products
Note2: atmos would not work on my 2017 Sonos Bravia (Arc)

Awesome Sound! We love SONOS products and got this soundbar as an upgrade to an old Toshiba that was larger and had a huge subwoofer. The sound on this SONOS is must better and clearer in a much more compact shell and the sub is not necessary. Easily links to tv, alexa, etc and sound is great even at a low volume. Specifically impressed by the ability of this SONOS to emphasize voices over background sound or music while watching TV. The controls on the top of the sound bar itself are a little wonky, but you can link it to you TV remote or use the app which is just as easy. Overall very happy with this unit and would recommend.

This Sonos sound bar is absolutely amazing. We hooked it up so easily to our Sonos 500 through our IPad, works in both rooms where we can change sound and music in the different rooms. The sound is so clear and it has this beautiful bass that really makes watching TV and listening to music so enjoyable it makes me so happy. It’s definitely impressive when you have music throughout your whole house. Our home feels like pure entertainment in every room we go into I absolutely love this. I highly recommend it also very easy to set up with other Sonos speakers. Definitely a buy! I want to buy a couple more wireless sonos 500 for the other rooms! For the sound, early connection and ability to hook up as many speakers through the house and garage! Sonos sound bar is the best way to go! So happy!

The Sonos Beam gen 2 is a fantastic soundbar! I own the Beam gen 1 but stopped using it as a soundbar since it doesn't support Atmos, and I'm so glad I upgraded to the gen 2. Just like other Sonos products, it was really easy to set up. It's a great addition to my home theater system. It has a sleek and modern look that's pretty unobtrusive and fits nicely in front of my TV. It also supports Dolby Atmos which makes audio noticeably more immersive. Although the Beam sounds excellent by itself, if it's in your budget, I highly recommend pairing it with a pair of Era 100s (or 300s) as rear surrounds. The first time I played an atmos song through the whole setup I was at a loss for words and I can't really do it justice.

Great sound. Enhanced voice quality as well. Has a surround-sound feel as well.
Easy installation. Power cord and one HDMI connection )cable included, as well as an Optical Cord).
No remote. Your Tv set-box remote or TV remote controls the Sonos Beam.

Amazing sound, sleek modern look, easy to connect! The white color looks great! Also, easy to pair with Sonos subwoofer and speakers to create complete surround sound.
