Customers are positive about the Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer's sound quality, bass response, and ease of use, with many praising its setup and design. Positive feedback also highlights its powerful performance despite its compact size and the convenience of wireless connectivity. The Sonos Sub delivers deep, powerful bass that enhances any Sonos audio setup, making it perfect for home theaters or music lovers seeking immersive sound. The wireless design is easy to integrate, and the sleek, modern look fits seamlessly into any room. When paired with other Sonos speakers, the Sub dramatically improves the overall sound quality, adding depth and richness to the audio. Although it’s on the expensive side, the performance justifies the price, especially for those who prioritize high-quality sound. The setup is straightforward, and the Sub's impact on your listening experience is immediately noticeable, making it a must-have for serious audiophiles.

Huge and articulate sound, especially for its size. I feel it is worth the money. I use with a Sonos Amp and an additional sub (a Gen 1 and this Gen 3). I am a metalhead and I've found the Sonos sub to be perfect for that. There is enough bass to feel the thump of the kick drum, but it's articulate enough that you can still hear both the bass guitar and kick during fast passages. It moves plenty of air to fill a big room with bass during a movie also, but I've found that it really shines with music. The above still applies to only having one sub, but the second sub really shines in my listening room because I don't have enough room treatments to avoid large bass cancellations in some of the listening positions. So with one sub, parts of the room had super full bass and other parts didn't. Adding the second sub has now filled out the sound in the listening positions that were previously suffering. Current room I listen in is pretty large. It's an open floorplan, with the living room, kitchen, and dining room. I bought my first Sonos Sub in late 2015. At that point, I was using an SVS PB1000 (a 12" ported sub) and literally never missed it once it was gone. This is likely subjective because of my music tastes, so take with a grain of salt. I do watch a lot of movies and TV though, and still super happy with the Sonos Sub. If I was forced to say anything I dislike, it would be difficult. I would imagine a high end sub setup could still be significantly better than this, especially because bigger speakers can just literally move more air, but with my specific tastes and room, I'm very happy with these.

This is a must buy for your Sonos setup. Yes it’s expensive but worth it for what you’re getting. Adding the sub made a massive difference to my home theater system. Originally purchased the Sonos Arc, then added the ones as surrounds and lastly the sub. The sub opens up and completes the system. The sub not only takes over the lows but will also improve the sound of the arc by it taking over the mids/highs. The bass is tight and accurate and will undoubtedly shake your room. Adds a dramatic effect to your movie watching experience. If you’re planning on/already purchased the Arc, do yourself a favor and add the sub you won’t be disappointed.

I had the sonos arc already set up and it sounded great on it's own but the only thing it was lacking was that big bad bass that you can only really get with a dedicated subwoofer and wow do they deliver a 1, 2 punch! Now I'm rewatching my blue rays, especially my action movies and with my LG Oled, Sony Blu-ray player, Sonos Arc and sub I am really enjoying these movies again and hearing and seeing them as they should be seen and heard. I just watched Under Siege and the sound was awesome, this Sonos subwoofer really made it an immersive experience. I felt like I was in the theatre hearing all the guns and bombs going off...or was I, too, actually on the battleship helping Casey Ryback take out these terrorists! Buy the sub is worth every penny! End of story

Great Sonos product. The sound is excellent, the set-up, and integration with other Sonos items (sound bar & surround sound speakers) was easy. The only issue is the price point which is high compared to other products.

I purchased the Beam soundbar and this Sonos subwoofer together. The sound with just the Beam soundbar was amazing! But when we connected the subwoofer, it simply took the sound and experience to the next level. We were accustomed to Bose products..but the system in our prior house was hardwired. Moving into a new spot, I really didn't want to go through the effort of making holes and running concealed cabling. After doing my research, I had been contemplating this purchase for about 3 months before I actually pulled the trigger on it...mostly because I was hesitant about the cost. When I say I have absolutely NO REGRETS....I mean it!!! Highly recommend. We're playing around with locations for best placement on the sub. Planning to go back and get the surround sound speakers next!

If you’re looking for the ultimate experience when it comes to sound systems, this is it! Had the Gen 2 before with the sound bar and it was amazing. We wanted to upgrade and bought the Gen 3 subwoofer and the new Sonos Arc sound bar. We were mind blown how amazing it sounds! The beautiful thing about Sonos is that with the app you can set them up easy and fast by walking through your room with the phone in hand to give the Sonos a feel for the height and size of the room your setting them up in. It will optimize it to give you the most amazing sound experience ever. They are pricey but absolutely worth every penny! You’ll get what you payed for!! I promise you will love it just as much as me and my family! And once you go high quality like Sonos you won’t ever even consider buying anything else!

Was hesitant at first with sonos new app but setup in seconds and sounds absolutely incredible. No issues with 2x of these, arc and 2x era 300s. Also if you want to tweak it yourself there are some great guides online or use trueplay.

This sub performs well. I had the Sonos mini and exchanged it for this. Honestly, the mini wasn’t too bad. I don’t think this one is twice as good despite being about twice the price. You have to use this, though, to pair to the soundboard, and they know that. So pony up the dough. All in all, though, I don’t regret the purchase. Setup was super easy and it sounds great.

I’m not new to subs, but finding ones that meet the wife’s approval is difficult. We transitioned with our last move from the single-room audiophile rack/tower/center speakers/stereo subs to multiple rooms of Sonos. It’s working for both wife and husband; working for the husband now that the sub(s) are in the system. This is a powerful unit & a good value on sale. I’m still adjusting the output and final locations, but your arc/beam needs this sub to truly replace separates and unleash the sound-bar’s potential. It all (mostly) disappears into a wall of sound.

Sonos Arc is so amazing. Add the sub and some rears and it adds even more magic. Felt expensive, but I'd do it again. If you are on a budget, I'd do Sonos Arc, add the set of rears next and then the sub last.

Amazing ! Worth every single penny. Once you buy this it’s game over. This is the best subwoofer on the market and it’s nothing is even close. The quality on this is world class. Once you team this up with the Sonos Arc it’s like MJ and Pippen. You need this if you have a Sonos Arc ! Trust me. Just buy it now. It’s that Amazing !

This Sonos Gen 3 Sub completes my Sonos Beam and One SL system. It provides that missing dimension I didn't think I needed. I could have waited for the Gen 4, but the information between the two were sparse at time of purchase. I doubt I could discern the difference in improvement between the two. It has a large room filling sound for having such a small footprint, It's aesthetically pleasing, can be placed or hidden in inconspicuous places if desired, but mostly it performs! Yes it's expensive, but in a few months I'll have forgotten it's cost, while still savoring the rich deep clean bass for years to come.

Sonos has always been a reliable brand for me. I own a number of sonos speakers and actually purchased the sub to add as a 2nd sub in a dual sub home theater setup. The bass in incredibly clean in both single or dual configuration. Theres no distortion in either setup. This is bass uou can feel and not just hear, which is ultimately the goal of any good subwoofer. Would 100% purchase again....I guess technjcally I already did.

The sub is well worth the money. Substantial bass, deep, no rattling, clean look. Can stash it anywhere. I have the sonos arc and SL X 2... this was easily more important than the rears just FYI. I did a full review on YouTube under B_the_installer. The sub adds a lot of depth as subs do. Must have for anyone who wants to max out either new sound bar.

I didn’t think a second subwoofer was going to make a crazy difference in my audio experience. Boy was I wrong! This is my second Sonos subwoofer. It has changed in the way my entertainment room sounds completely. You can totally hear the addition of the second subwoofer. It really increases the lows for movies, music, and everything else. Even YouTube videos are more fun to watch. Sonos you have never failed me. A+++
