The best TV purchase I’ve ever made!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony did it again. It’s unbelievable how amazing the picture quality looks on this tv. Every aspect of the image is exceptional. I bought the top of line back in 2015, and I only purchased this one because I started seeing lines on the screen after moving into my new house. After researching for a replacement (and getting lost down an OLED rabbit hole), I decided it was indeed time to upgrade. I was excited to see this model in person, but the model wasn’t on display when I came in, so I had to take a leap of faith and trust my gut. Now, I’m not one to sling money around like it’s bacon bits. I’m a conservative spender. That said, though the price tag was heftier than other less expensive models, this tv is worth every penny. I am rewatching movies I’ve seen before, and it’s like I’m watching a completely different movie. It’s a phenomenal picture. I had excellent surround sound already, so now that I’m in visual and auditory heaven, I can no longer see myself “slumming it” at the movie theater. It’s been weeks since it arrived, and I still feel giddy over watching anything at all. I even watched a baking show (and I abhor baking shows) because of how the Halloween colors popped off the screen. I couldn’t be happier.

Expensive, already having software issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Extremely bright and darks are perfect dark. Full of color out of the of the box. Excellent cable management with the inserts and waffle cone on the back. The tv itself feels very sturdy. Im coming from a 2019 sony full array led to this, its amazing. The 2 120gh hdmi’s is nice obviosuly wish it had more. Cons: for a flagship tv id expect it to run like a race horse but it does not. The remote feels like very fragile. Made of very cheap parts. Only nice thing about the remote is it detects movement and lights up at night. Back to running slow, the tv, the menus i defect lag in the inputs from the time i press the buttons until the command is received its noticeably slow. Ive had multiple unrecoverable freezes. The whole screen turns grey and there’s a noticeable divide in the middle. I’ve had directv on and the picture froze on the tv and i power cycled the tv box and the tv retained the image until i unplugged the tv for 5mins. May be stupid to most but the led indicator feature is totally broken. The indicator is full on, unless you go in every time you turn it off manually. The sound? What sound ? This thing has speakers? :( i don’t expect home theater expensive speakers but when i have sensitive hearing and i can’t hear squat, and theres no real options that help boost the overall sound just vocal boost and its weak. Surround sound is bad. Id rather have the 4 - 10mw speakers from my old tv that had complete software failure after multiple motherboard replacements. Wait a year or two for a sale if you can. I couldn’t. Its a great gaming TV for xbox with 120hz and for those who like built in crosshairs and other gaming features. I hope they address these out of the box 1 update in, failures. To spend this much and so much on the warranty i expected way better,In terms of reliability. From Sony’s flagship tv. More to come, if i can figure out this new reviewing system, this is a nightmare i can’t even see what in typing thanks best buy i have to hit done and re read repeatedly. Also,i don’t see photo uploads so i cant show some of the faulty stuff I’ve recorded. My main fear other than a tv software death, again, is burn in but so far moderate use and no image retention. Dont expect to see any for a good long while. I Hope to update and re-rate the tv in future if that’s even a thing anymore. One last thing, there’s a noticeably loud click sound, like capacitors powering up the tv in the right hand side where, you guessed it the power plug; plugs in., which is super scary to me. Thats how all 5 of my samsung tv’s bit the dust (over the course of 2007 to now.). Motherboard/power failire issues.

Amazing picture and very good sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super happy with this purchase. I am coming from a Samsung 4K LED that still looked good but the step up in picture quality from OLED and Sony's image processing is still amazing. I watch a lot of streaming shows in SDR and Sony makes them look great. That said, shows that stream in HDR are really next level. The brightness of some of the HDR elements almost hurts my eyes ... but in a good way. NFL season just started and opening games looked fantastic. I have the TV in a relatively bright room and the games just looked great. I wanted a TV with good sound so that I do not need to add a soundbar. This TV delivers. Dialogue is clear and easy to understand and the general sound quality is good and full. We are not big movie watchers and my wife likes to police the volume regardless. I am sure anyone looking for big sound will add a soundbar but just wanted to be clear for people like us that want to use the TV sound that this TV sounds great. I wall mounted this TV using HangSmart and that worked great. I love how clean it looks on the wall and I highly recommend HangSmart to anyone mounting a TV. I was using AppleTV with my Samsung but decided to try the built-in GoogleTV so that I could keep the mounting cleaner. So far, I am not missing the AppleTV. All of the services we use are available and the interface is smooth. The integration with YouTubeTV is obviously quite good and the search feature seems better than Apple's. The first TV I received had a single bright red pixel that was stuck on. BestBuy service was great and they delivered me a replacement right away. The second TV is perfect. Having this problem made me very happy that I decided to buy this from BestBuy and did not have to deal with an online return and shipping. One note. BraviaCAM seems useless. The only feature I am using is the one that adjusts the sound to where I am sitting. It might make a difference but hard to tell. There are no video chat apps available for this Bravia model so the camera offers no real value or function. Kind of weird since this is the only Sony TV that includes the camera but just thought it worth mentioning. I will probably just detach the camera at some point if this does not change.

Magnificent Sony OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My A95L was a replacement for the 2019 A9G under extended warranty through Best Buy. This all happened the middle of August so I've had it for several weeks. I had never seen one prior to it being delivered and set up. All I can say is I was totally shocked at the magnificent picture quality. It jumps all over my A9G which I thought was excellent up until now. I use it for DirecTV and other streaming services. They all look better than anything I've seen before. Even my Panasonic 9000 Blu-ray player looks better. Everyone who has come over here and seen the television are just amazed at the picture quality. I feel the sound is very good without a sound system - though I do have one. I don't use the sound system unless I'm going to use the Blu-ray player or action movies. I don't feel regular TV programs warrants me turning it all on. The A95L it's just fine for me without it. It's bright enough for me and after it's been on for a while you can walk by the screen and you don't feel a lot of heat coming from it as did the A9G. It comes with a camera that's installed on the top of the TV which I have no use for so that has been removed. I don't do video chat and I see no reason to do it on the TV either but that's me. Lastly I only buy Sony because I feel the flesh tones and colors on their televisions are the best of all to my eyes. Go ahead and buy this television you won't regret it for 1 minute. I might add that the $800 for a 5-year warranty was worth it as I now have a brand new television. There was no arguing over the warranty, The geek squad was wonderful, Best Buy backed the warranty and there you have it. Buy your electronics from Best buy and get a warranty. If you ever have to make a claim you'll be glad you did.

Beautiful product
|Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Literally the single best tv you can buy. The picture quality is so impressive it just blows away the competition. Combined with a Sony receiver, it really is a one two punch. I thought the Bravia cam would be kind of a dumb addon, but since it came with the TV, I hooked it up and was surprised at how well it adjusted the panel based on ambient lighting. One of my biggest concerns going with this TV was going to be brightness and with the Bravia cam’s ability to provide ambient light data, I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed as to how well the tv manages in all lighting conditions, not just the pitch black room oleds traditionally shine in. We haven’t played with video calling or any of those other camera features. Gesture control is quite handy. I’m still waiting on a high quality 3.5mm cable to try out S-Center Sync, but given the configuration of my space I have every estimation it’ll work out better than where I’m currently forced to put my center channel. Overall I’m in love with this TV and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a truly high quality viewing experience.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd OLED TV and let me just say the tech in these TVs panels is getting crazy good! The brightness and color accuracy is phenomenal. The OS is getting better but still has its issues at times. I would’ve liked to see all the HDMI ports 2.1. And wish that TV manufactures would place the mounting holes in the same place on each given size TV. I’ve owned 3x 65 inch TVs that all sit at different heights above our mantle. Little frustrating… But the backlit remote is fantastic. And would recommend this TV to pretty much anyone. Definitely the best 65 inch TV on the market.

Sony XR65A95L, the TV to Get
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 65A95k to a 65 A95L. The K model was great but as reviews indicated was not as bright as it could be. The L model was much brighter and worth the price difference. I have never seen a TV with such incredible performance. I found some 4K input and sat for hours just looking at landscapes and animals. The number of apps available on the L model are fewer than the K but I hope that Sony will add more with future s/w updates. I was disappointed that there was no ZOOM app for the L. The K had one and it was a great use for the Bravia-Cam. The setup was easy even though it took a little time to get my Denon AVR S970H and the Sony TV volume levels to a good working range. Sony has put a number of features to protect the unit from burn-in. I have operated the TV for over 250 hours with no sign of burn-in. I am using the TV speakers as the center channel of my Dolby 5.1 system with good results. The TV speakers are some of the best I have ever heard and I could be happy without using an amplifier system. The HDMI/arc connections work well allowing the TV, cable box and amplifier to work seamlessly together. The TV remote is small but full function even without an numeric keys. It could be a little bigger as it gets lost in the couch cushions easily.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best TV on the market. The software can be clunky and confusing at times, but if you plug a device into it and let the screen work its magic, you’ll be set for a while. I upgraded from a 55” Vizio OLED, and this thing is bright and snappy. I love the contrast this thing can achieve, and it really does have the “looking through a window” effect where things just pop. I’m excited to use this TV for years to come!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this a little over a month and am very pleased. Color is excellent, especially skin tones. Olympics looked fantastic. I come from a video production background and in the past, I’ve had to fiddle with setting to get a TV to look good. But this set looks great with most of the standard options available. The cost a little more than some others but there is a reason Sony commands a bit of a premium. It’s worth it!

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding tv. It’s bright, crisp, the Dolby vision is extremely pronounced. Fast 120hz refresh rate on some hdmi. TV speakers don’t do a screen like this justice. At least a sound bar. We pair with a 5.1.2 atmos system and it’s better than being in a theater!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There was a time when Sony was the best. Then they seem to let the industry surpass them. Sony was one of the first adopters of 4K and they know how to do it. This television has deep blacks and vibrant colors. It blows away most of the other TV’s out there. I had a Samsung 65” before and wasn’t too happy with it. The image wasn’t always stable on it.
