    Expensive, already having software issues

    Pros: Extremely bright and darks are perfect dark. Full of color out of the of the box. Excellent cable management with the inserts and waffle cone on the back. The tv itself feels very sturdy. Im coming from a 2019 sony full array led to this, its amazing. The 2 120gh hdmi’s is nice obviosuly wish it had more. Cons: for a flagship tv id expect it to run like a race horse but it does not. The remote feels like very fragile. Made of very cheap parts. Only nice thing about the remote is it detects movement and lights up at night. Back to running slow, the tv, the menus i defect lag in the inputs from the time i press the buttons until the command is received its noticeably slow. Ive had multiple unrecoverable freezes. The whole screen turns grey and there’s a noticeable divide in the middle. I’ve had directv on and the picture froze on the tv and i power cycled the tv box and the tv retained the image until i unplugged the tv for 5mins. May be stupid to most but the led indicator feature is totally broken. The indicator is full on, unless you go in every time you turn it off manually. The sound? What sound ? This thing has speakers? :( i don’t expect home theater expensive speakers but when i have sensitive hearing and i can’t hear squat, and theres no real options that help boost the overall sound just vocal boost and its weak. Surround sound is bad. Id rather have the 4 - 10mw speakers from my old tv that had complete software failure after multiple motherboard replacements. Wait a year or two for a sale if you can. I couldn’t. Its a great gaming TV for xbox with 120hz and for those who like built in crosshairs and other gaming features. I hope they address these out of the box 1 update in, failures. To spend this much and so much on the warranty i expected way better,In terms of reliability. From Sony’s flagship tv. More to come, if i can figure out this new reviewing system, this is a nightmare i can’t even see what in typing thanks best buy i have to hit done and re read repeatedly. Also,i don’t see photo uploads so i cant show some of the faulty stuff I’ve recorded. My main fear other than a tv software death, again, is burn in but so far moderate use and no image retention. Dont expect to see any for a good long while. I Hope to update and re-rate the tv in future if that’s even a thing anymore. One last thing, there’s a noticeably loud click sound, like capacitors powering up the tv in the right hand side where, you guessed it the power plug; plugs in., which is super scary to me. Thats how all 5 of my samsung tv’s bit the dust (over the course of 2007 to now.). Motherboard/power failire issues.

    Great picture and sound. If you play high res media like HDR 10 or Dolby Vision from USB attached drives using built in Sony tech, it will not play. Period. This should have been a world class television. Could have been except there are declared features that are buggy and at least one flat out does not work. To add insult to a $3,000 injury, Sony's support is worthless and denies there is anything wrong, Yet they work really hard to find unacceptable workarounds for you. Failure. Very clear they are lying about this product. Don't let yourself be fooled. Test before you buy. Too big to rebox and return.

    Sound Issues

    I bought this TV as an open box, this was a mistake. Best buy does not take good care of their open box items, they delivered the TV with the box open, no bubble wrap, and it almost fell off the truck since the box was torn. The TV was missing all parts (remote, stand, and the bravia cam); while one expects some parts to be missing when buying an open box, but no remote---really! I bought the Sonos Arc Ultra to go with the TV, but the sound is messing up (it's gibberish) with the TV—it does not seem to be compatible with the TV. The Best Buy customer service is the worst ever; you cannot get ahold of anyone at the store unless you drive down to the store--this is absurd. Lastly, whatever you do, do not talk to Adam in TVs and audio...he is rude, unprofessional, and down right insulting.

    The video is dark compared to my Samsung. Doesn't look as good in a bright room. I noticed that the scale up to 4k is much better on my Samsung too. The thing that I hate most about this TV and why I gave it only 2 stars is that the commercial volume is at max volume and there is no way of turning this down or adjusting it. I find nowhere in the settings for such a configuration. I suspect, Sony gave me a beta version of the garbage goggle tv software. I have research and researched only to find nothing here.

      The picture quality of the TV will depend in the source that you're playing. You may experience a lower quality picture than specified for your TV for several reasons. To experience the highest quality picture on your TV, the video source should be the same quality (HD, 4K, etc.) as specified for your TV. You may try to improve the image quality by adjusting the Picture mode, Sharpness, and Resolution settings. Check this link for more details.

    Disapointing for the price

    The overall photo quality is very good however i have had multiple issues with the tv turning back on after 20 seconds when i turn it off. Now im having sound issues where the sound actually studders. At first I thought it was the sound bar but I disconnected the sound bar and the tv has the same problem. I have owned. A few Sony tvs over the last 15 years and they have all been reliable. I am going to return this for a replacement and hopefully i just got a lemon.

    problems we have never had with a tv

    2 problems after just a couple of months. The voice changes (goes away, doesn't match mouth speaking, or changes tone ). Also, sometimes the tv freezes when you turn it on. for both issues you need to shut the tv off and turn it back on
