I'm coming from the Samsung 2013 flagship F8000, 1080p LED, so this Sony OLED blows that one away in picture quality. Not so much with the built-in speakers though. They're ok, but not as good as my old tv. I was expecting better sound coming from Sony. Not a big deal for me though, I've got the Sony - HT-A7000 soundbar and subwoofer connected to it and it sounds great. I've only owned this tv for 4 weeks, but so far it's amazing. Beautiful picture quality and amazing colors. One thing I do dislike is the fact it only has two 4K 120hz HDMI outputs and it should have at least three for a flagship tv. The cheaper TV's have two. I've also had the latest software updates with no issues. Over all I'm pretty satisfied with this tv. Let's hope it last a while. I'm taking away one star for the lack of HDMI 120hz outputs, lackluster of the built-in speakers and not to mention it's insanely overpriced.

This is my 3rd OLED TV and let me just say the tech in these TVs panels is getting crazy good! The brightness and color accuracy is phenomenal. The OS is getting better but still has its issues at times. I would’ve liked to see all the HDMI ports 2.1. And wish that TV manufactures would place the mounting holes in the same place on each given size TV. I’ve owned 3x 65 inch TVs that all sit at different heights above our mantle. Little frustrating… But the backlit remote is fantastic. And would recommend this TV to pretty much anyone. Definitely the best 65 inch TV on the market.

The TV is very good, my reference is coming from an LG C8.. I do find the A95L VERY ‘yellow’ in Dolby vision, you can tell you’re in Dolby Vision because even the (what should be white) overlays on screen tint yellow. But the picture quality generally is really good, even upscaled content; although I think the other thing is I have moved from 55” to 65” so perhaps I notice the ppi difference a little. I am NOT a fan of the Google TV OS, but that’s easily remedied with an AppleTV 4K box. The included remote is lovely, I really value that and would say it’s the best remote I’ve ever encountered bundled with a TV. I can’t comment on the sound as I use a full Sonos setup, but setting that up to eARC was a breeze. I did find that you have to manually switch on 4K @120hz for gaming through the settings so don’t forget that; this is the first TV I’ve had that gives a full sweep of green compatibility ticks for all visual functionality on an Xbox series X! Overall, I am very impressed with this display for the price and would definitely buy again.

    Open Box Sony A95L-OLED

Purchased a Sony A95L, after looking at this expensive/flagship model for quite some time. I have always had very good luck with Sony products, and this is no exception, so far. This particular item was an open box, listed as excellent. It was the only one showing within at least a couple hundred mile range. Open Box, Excellent, was described as, "Looks brand new, Includes all parts/accessories, and Typically contains packaging". After trying to call the store directly, trying multiples ways to get thru, it was determined that you can no longer actually call a store directly, but always get routed to a call center. Like all companies that seem to want to make it difficult to get thru to an actual person, let alone one that is more local, that is not a positive arrangement. After deciding to drive the roughly 140 miles to that store, and carefully measuring to make sure that this TV box would fit inside of a full-size SUV (after considering renting a van or pickup), when getting to the store, they rolled out the TV wrapped in bubble wrap (with no original packaging). Based on the discounted price, I decided to take the chance and get it. Upon getting it home and removing the bubble wrap and plastic wrap, I was able to see several fingerprints around the edges, mostly where someone might hold it in order to carry it, but definitely more than one would expect. It also had a few minor marks on the screen. After researching how to clean an OLED screen, which most information indicates should be done very carefully, I undertook that task. After using a mild vinegar water mixture and a couple microfiber cloths, it looked better, but in the right light still had some fingerprint residue, and minor marks. All of this made me wonder, what kind of people buy a TV this expensive, and actually touch the screen that much. Why bother buying a TV of that caliber, and then treat it that way? It really makes no sense! Anyway, as black as the screen is, when turned on, the picture is great, and you really cannot see any of this. The TV itself is absolutely superb! Best Buy did have an excellent price, as an open box item (particularly for a fairly new and flagship model)! The manufacturers should definitely not make screens that are that susceptible to fingerprints and marks, on a material that is then very difficult to actually clean. But, that is not the fault of Best Buy. From a maintenance and durability standpoint, the glass screens of an older Plasma TV make far more sense. I have been a regular buyer of Best Buy for a long time, and have bought a wide variety of products, and have always had good experiences (at least for the things that they can control). Even though I felt that there were a few hiccups, that is the real world. I would definitely recommend Best Buy, and Sony.

Ive had this TV for a few months & WOW! Cominig from a 2017/18 Samsung QLED which I thought looked good btw, this TV blows it out of the water & has a phenomenal picture quality with colors like no other. I walked back & forth in the store between LG’s flagship Tv & Samsungs flagship tv. I went in expecting to purchase the LG as my first OLED but those colors blew me away & forced my hand on spending that extra dough. Now the kinks are that the wifi connection often doesnt want to connect & the sound gets out of sync every so often when switching between inputs or apps. I use apple Tv 4k & PS5 so the wifi issue doesn’t bother me a whole lot but it is an issue nonetheless. Becareful with how you tweak the settings because the initial way I had the motion settings, I did not like how it was choppy & objects/people would be distorted on their outlines. Almost made me send this thing back lol but once I got it dialed in, it runs next to flawless & months later I still find myself saying wow at some of the clarity & richness to the picture. I habe had no issues with the remote as others have had, fingers crossed. Would I purchase this TV again ? Absolutely but looking back it’s still hard to justify the crazy uprice over the other brand’s, flagship models. If you catch this bad boy marked down, do not hesitate !

      Thank you for choosing Sony!

We’re really happy to hear that you love the picture quality and colors of the XR65A95L TV! It’s fantastic that you had a smooth experience with the remote, and we genuinely appreciate your enthusiasm about considering another purchase. If you spot a sale, definitely take advantage of it! However, we sincerely apologize for the Wi-Fi connectivity and sound synchronization issues you’ve encountered. Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve these concerns:

      1. Wi-Fi Connection: If your TV's Wi-Fi connection is unstable, consider updating the software to Firmware version v112.631.085.1. You can find the update here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/oled-tvs-android-a95l-series/xr-65a95l/software/00299248.

      2. Perform a power reset on both your TV and modem/router. For detailed steps, check this guide: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00184183.

      3. Audio Sync: For audio that gets out of sync, updating the TV software may help. Additionally, you can adjust the audio delay settings through the TV menu or on your external audio devices. More details can be found here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00026069.

Incredible picture and performance! The interface is super easy to use for anyone in the household. One of the best features is the ability to adjust video settings for any of the applications/ streaming service. Only down side I have noticed frequently is the “Ok Google/AI” feature. The TV picks up the slightest saying of “ok” or “google” and the google assistant pauses anything you are watching. It’s a nuisance when trying to watch movies or while watching sports. Other than that, the TV picture is incredible for any viewing (gaming, movies, or regular TV) and makes up for the google assistant bugs. The Home Screen is easy to use especially for those who are not super tech savvy going from app to app. The TV speakers get the job done but you typically don’t buy a TV for the sound.

Let’s get the important part out of the way. This TV has the best picture I’ve ever seen and I’m picky. The clarity and contrast is honestly amazing and that’s comparing it to a brand new Samsung QN 90C, which is a super bright and clear TV in its own right. This TV honestly kills it in picture quality. Now for the bad. Only 2 4k 120hz HDMI ports Sony???!! Come on. That is the worst way to cheap out and try to save manufacturing costs. All the good TV’s have at least 4 of those ports now, EXCEPT SONY! This is a flagship TV! Give me a break. The only other ding I have is the stand. Why do the eggs mount on the complete outside edge of the tv?! Make a pedestal mount like a normal TV manufacturer. My stand isn’t square and tapers toward the rear, so I have to put the tv on the very front edge of my TV stand. Bad design. Other that, it’s an amazing tv.

This television has a beautiful and crisp picture, the best we've ever had. With built in apps and connectivity to google, we can enjoy easier access to our subscription services. The onboard sound is kindof harsh and not a feature we like. We use a satellite service for our primary programming, and have a Sony sound bar. Almost daily we have to go into the tv sound settings to switch it temporarily from sound system to television sound because the sound has become out of sync. I don't know what is the culprit so I cannot blame this television, but can say we didn't have this problem with our previous television.

Beautiful picture, good sound for built-in TV speakers. Overall the TV interface is good but I chose not to use the GoogleTV features so can't comment on the built-in apps, etc. The TV UI has a few too many corners IMO where certain things are hidden away, and still not 100% sure on the duplication of things like HDMI inputs when CEC devices are plugged in, but it mostly just works. The most serious limitation, IMO, is the eARC port being on one of the only two HDMI 2.1 inputs. My old Vizio soundbar is a bit flaky (not Sony's fault), but I was hoping I could use the eARC HDMI port exclusively for audio to the SoundBar, but between my PS5 and AppleTV I had to use both HDMI 2.1 ports.

If value and resources are more important to you than the values prized by videophiles, the A95L's superior picture processing may not be the right TV for you. The significant Sony premium does offer class-leading performance, but if your viewing mainly consists of compressed YouTube videos or pirated media, or if you're the type to leave your TV in its out-of-the-box settings, there are many other TV models that provide much better value. However, if you're an incorrigible videophile in the market for a new TV (you know who you are), the A95L deserves to be on your short list of must-demo TVs.

Excellent tv from picture quality prospective, however sony remote wont control power/volume level on my Vizio 5.1 soundbar system. Was working for a couple hours then just stoped. Very strange. The soundbar actually plays sound just no control over it with the Sony remote, and I hate having to use dual remotes. Thinking about returning and staying with my old LG C9 that this was ment to replace or new LG G3. Kinda a frustraiting experience so far, but picture is top notch!!!

Good, not necessarily great for the price. Excellent picture quality. Because of the very thin screen, the tv speakers are very poor. Almost makes conversations inaudible. Highly recommend at least adding a sound bar if not a full surround sound system. For the money, better values out there. Not a huge improvement over the six-year old LG it replaced.

Love the TV and the picture. The only problem I have had is 3 different times the conversation on tv becomes garbled and the last time the sound went off as well. I then turn the tv off, wait about 40seconds, then turn it back on. Everything then is fine. For the cost of this tv, should not have those issues.

Overall a good tv. It’s my first OLED and it replaced a seventeen year old Pioneer Elite plasma. Geek squad did a great job setting up the tv and devices. My complaint is the amount of blue light the tv emits. It disrupts my sleep. I bought a blue light filter screen to reduce blue light plus I must wear a pair of blue light filter glasses when I watch tv in the evening.
